Jorge Castineira has taken care of our large commercial pool. This pool has never been cleaner or the chemicals are always perfect. Very diligent in his core for our pool. Highly recommend!

Ricky has been my pool technician for quite awhile. He services my pool twice per week and always does a spectacular job. He is very friendly and discusses my pool’s needs with me in a timely manner. Ricky is a tremendous asset to Clear Tech Pools.
Sincerely,
Christine Borges -
This review is for our new tech, Jorge, only. His work is 5 stars. He is the only tech that has cleaned our pool well and followed through on issues. We also had an algae treatment done by an excellent tech that provided a fabulous explanation of his work. The company needs to employ more techs like these and weed out those that aren’t professionals.

I’ve live at Harborside in South Pasadena for 21 years and I’d just like to share that Josh Leverocks has been the best person we’ve ever had take care of our pools. He’s very thorough, takes his time, vacuums and scrubs the sides. He’s also very polite and friendly with the residents.

I've been with ClearTech for about 9 months now. John #406 has been great. My pool always looks great after he leaves. He's also super friendly and helpful when I have questions. Great experience so far.

Britton and Ty were awesome, professional and friendly and quite knowledgeable. I’m looking forward to being able to heat our hot tub! We’ve known the Clear Tech owners for years and they are a solid community minded family owned and operated business. I’m happy we are going to be able to work with them to get our heater replaced.
Thanks Britton and Ty. You are both assets to Clear Tech and represent the company well. -
They ruined my brand new pool. The pool was finished in July 2021 and they took over shortly after. They dumped acid in my pool without closing off the heater it totally rusted out and started leaking.
The rust from the heater stained the pool blue and brown. They sent someone to try to clean things up, but the guy was not very responsive and it took a lot of work on my part to beg him to come out.
After the last treatment the pool turned to milk and I have to drain it 3 times. The water is now clear again, but it’s easy to see there are still stains.
It’s gonna cost $5K to refinish my brand new pool thanks to these guys.
Update: they have been treating the pool for several weeks to fix it. It’s starting to look better but still a huge pain. I have brush and clean the filters daily to get all this metal out. Exactly the reason I hired a company to maintain my pool……
Update: The pool finish was sandpaper and we were getting cuts when swimming. Literally cuts it was that bad. My wife ruined 3 bathing suits because they became “picked” from the roughy surface when sitting step. We ended up getting it refinished in pebble tech. Cost me like $8,500.
These guys are the worst. Highly do not recommend. -
Edit to add: Our recent pool tech has been incredible. So I’ve decided to update my review based on his communication, dedication to my pool and mutual respect for one another. This guy is great, I really hope they treat him right.
First review: Wish I could give zero stars..
We have had to use Clear Tech for the last 3 years because our leasing company requires it. Ever since, we have had ongoing issues with reliability and quality. Our pool was “cleaned” yesterday yet only chlorine tabs were dropped in. This continues to happen and when you call customer service, they are so rude and tell you that their techs don’t make enough as if justifying why they aren’t finishing jobs… I have reached out to my leasing company to hopefully stop using this company and I suggest you do the same.
Update to add that a week later at their next pool service I watched 2 techs from my office bedroom pop in chlorine tabs and leave. They were here for 4 min! Unbelievable. -
Our service technician Andi is always extremely friendly and helpful! Any time we have a question she is willing to listen & show us exactly what we are supposed to do. She leaves us a pool service call report hanging in our door every week so we know exactly what was done & if we need to wait to enjoy the pool after she leaves. Thank you Andi for being patient with us asking questions. We appreciate the level of service.

Clear Tech Pools came out to address a leak in our pool. Their technician, Chris Ertel, found the cause of the leak immediately. While here he also found a few other issues. He provided a temporary fix for the leak, while we wait for the full repairs to be completed. He was very informative, respectful, friendly and professional. He kept me in the loop every step of the way. When Chris returned to replace our light, he kept the area very neat and tidy. I would recommended Clear Tech Pools to anyone looking for a fair, honest, and friendly company. Thanks Again, Chris! We appreciate you and your hard work!

Just like the previous review my pool has been green for over 3 weeks. Called their office at least twice a week without any resolution. The first two pics were taken before their visit today, the last two a couple of hours after their visit. Foamy substance and even more cloudy and green. Have been their client for the past 23 years. Unacceptable.

Clear Tech pools came through for us. We were selling our home and had to replace a pool light before closing. Just a few days before the closing another company cancelled on us last minute. I called Clear Tech and explained the situation, Ashley worked us into the schedule and had a technician to our home the next day. The pool light we were told to purchase by the other contractor wasn’t the right light. The technician quickly went and got the proper light for our pool that the new owners expected and installed it on the same afternoon the day before we closed. Couldn’t have been more satisfied!

UPDATE: Changing my score from a 5 star to a one star. This company is not what it used to be. I'm stuck with this company because it's who my property management uses (and I pay a $175 fee for their services in my rent every month). They rarely actually clean the pool. Just throw some chemicals in and some might actually test the water. Almost every week it's a different person. I'm constantly checking their work and calling the office to have a tech come back to finish the job. Today I saw not one but TWO techs on my pool deck for my weekly cleaning before I left for an appointment. Double the man power yet this is how my pool looks! I get home and it's still full of debris, a tinge of green in the deep end, and obviously not brushed whatsoever. They didn't bring the cleaning cart back with them, but they actually had the vacuum attachment and brush laying next to the pool and didn't even use it. I definitely wouldn't be using this company if I had the choice.
I’ve went through a few companies with this house, the last one always had my pool turning green :/ We’ve had Clear Tech for almost 2 years now and my pool is always beautiful, sparkling and blue! My technician, Drew, is always there to answer any of my questions and is very polite. -
UPDATE: I guess things have changed.... Not receiving the same level of service I once had. I now have mustard algae in the pool, informed them multiple times. They finally sent their "extra service technician" to handle it and he just dumped a ton of chlorine in the pool. No brushing the sides or vacuuming the floor. Also, he didn't know the difference between the irrigation pump and the pool pump. ... Weeks later, still have algae, but now with extremely high levels of chlorine...
They do still show up every week tho!

I had Clear Tech through my property management company for the past year. Clear Tech consistently showed up every week when they said they would be there. Joe always did a great job and answered any questions we had about the pool.
The pool has always been clean and if there was an issue in between service, they always had someone come out and check.
Would recommend using their services! -
STAY FAR AWAY FROM CLEAR TECH POOLS!
Hiring Clear Tech Pools to move our pool pump was a decision I deeply regret. Months have passed, and the project remains incomplete despite my numerous attempts to get updates. The Project Manager, Chris, has been entirely unresponsive, forcing me to call their main line repeatedly—only to be met with excuses and indifference.
Shockingly, I was informed weeks ago that the project was marked “complete” in their system. However, as you can see in the attached photos, this so-called "completion" left pipes exposed, old pipes abandoned in the ground, trenches unfilled, and a pile of debris sitting on my curb. After I voiced my concerns, they sent someone out, but all they did was partially fill one trench and move the debris from the curb into my yard—leaving the project still unfinished.
It has now been two more weeks, and the same cycle continues: calls to the main line since I'm not able to get through to the Project Manager, no updates, and absolutely no accountability from Clear Tech Pools. Their negligence and lack of professionalism are astonishing. This company seems to have no regard for their customers or the quality of their work.
To make matters worse, they charged me nearly the full project cost in September and collected the remaining balance in early November, despite the project being far from finished. The entire experience has been utterly terrible from start to (still unfinished) finish.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Clear Tech Pools at all costs. Their blatant disregard for their work and their customers is mind-blowing. This has been a ZERO-STAR EXPERIENCE through and through. -
I had a crew working on my pool for 3 days , changing to salt water , adding heat pump, safety ladder and hand bar . I should have gotten all their names because everyone was polite and hardworking. Eric and Chris were very helpful and knowledgeable with all decisions . It started with great service from the electrician and carried through till the end of renovations .

Clear Tech has been exceptional since day one. Their communication is consistent and clear, and they’re upfront about everything they provide. The team is proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely committed to doing things right. When something rare does slip through the cracks, they handle it immediately and without excuses.
Matt Stir and the crew has earned my full trust. They set the standard for what great service in this industry should look like. -
Brit is unmatched. He showed up to solve issues and took the time to answer questions. He proved he was reliable, honest and operates with integrity. He's thorough and truly owes his craft. We were very pleased with our Cartridge Filter & new backwash hose installation today. We look forward to Brit servicing our pools needs down the line.

We used Clear Tech for warranty services on our pool light. Although confirming the warranty took a while (not their fault), the service provided by them was great! Jeremy & Ty had the light switched out and working quickly. Thank you!

Clear Tech Pools is horrible; there is poor communication and a rotten staff that doesn't follow up on calls or communication. However, poor Shaun showed up at my home unannounced to do some warranty work on my pool pump. I was very annoyed but apologized to Shaun once I quickly realized he is just an amazing employee whose communication is phenomenal, despite the issues with his back office. Shaun listened to my concerns, actually cared, and was knowledgeable and trustworthy. I actually left my home due to plans I had and couldn't change, which was due to Clear Tech never communicating when a tech was coming. Shaun, if I had a position for you, I would pick you from Clear Tech. I'm sorry I don't run a pool company. I would recommend you for leading their training for customer service, but I wouldn't curse you with that back office nonsense. Shaun, thank you! You're a gem of an employee, and this is the only reason they got 5 stars—because of you. If the owner of Clear Tech wants to speak to me, I will be more than happy to verbalize my opinion to them. I recommend Shaun in this review, not Clear Tech Pools.
Recent Update:
In March, Clear Tech Pools replaced my Hayward variable-speed motor with a cheap, non–variable-speed $250 motor made in Mexico. I didn’t discover this until six months later unbelievable and downright unethical, Shame on you Clear Tech! Fortunately, Hayward stepped in and replaced the unit, but only after 19 emails and direct contact with a VP. I’m still waiting for their tech to return and fix the plumbing they botched. Instead of keeping the pipes level (as any skilled technician would), they reassembled everything unevenly, showing zero comprehension of basic workmanship.
Bottom line: This company is awful run, run, run away from them. -
They are the worst pool service company I have ever had. They will up charge you for equipment you do not need. After the hurricane they said my pool needed a drain and clean, there no water intrusion occurred just trying to rip me off. It was dirty and from lack of service. Also each week you may have a different person servicing the pool. Several times the pool was serviced and left in service mode and ran for weeks while I was out of town. Several times the pump valves were adjusted and when the pool was off the water drained out of the spa. It was a horrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. A one is too generous.
The first 2 photos where from the lack of service. The third photo was a metal object was left on the bottom of the pool for weeks and causes rust marks. This is going to cost plenty for a drain and acid wash to remove. This company is the worst.
My issues with their service extended far before and after the hurricane. I gave them every opportunity to remain a customer. It became a nightmare. Don't make the same mistake they are NOT reliable and they create more problems for the pool owner than needed. On the above "We cleaned this up at no additional charge. 291 Catalan Boulevard needed a clean up after Hurricane Milton." it took multiple calls and threats for them do you there job. The hurricane didn't effect the pool they failed to service the pool for weeks and said it needed a drain and clean when it only needed service. This is not true "841 Rafael Boulevard needed a clean up after Hurricane Milton. This pool was also cleaned up at no additional charge." I contacted will another company to do a drain and clean because the quotes from Cleartech were excessive.
