During this incredible heat wave, the last thing one needs is an AC emergency.

When I realized that the unit in my apartment was over twenty years old, I decided to investigate possibilities for replacement. Awaiting proposals from several [licensed] groups servicing my location, Edd Helms Inc. responded immediately to schedule an on-site appointment. Project manager, Michael Larabee, took the time to explain options as well as possible issues with clarity, all without pressure sales. The other groups whom I had contacted only sent email proposals or no response at all.

I have learned from experience that the lowest bid is not always the best bid.

Edd Helms Group included warranties of work and maintenance for a longer period as well as product specs plus two choices depending upon my budget. The proposal included many details for cost analysis whereas the other groups just wrote a bottom line figure without any specifics.

Installation is now complete.

The entire team is RELIABLE, PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE, RESPECTFUL and communicative.

Absolutely recommended.

They sent over Keith this morning to service 2 units. In fast went over condition what he did and completely checked both units I see by water flow he completely cleaned bot well, I'll be calling ed helms for my next service. They are 5 star!

On Feb. 23rd, technician Clifford King arrived at the scheduled time and serviced my three air conditioning systems, inside and outside. He was extremely polite and thoroughly explained the work performed. I was left with every confidence that my A/C system was in good working order. Cliff is a valuable asset to Edd Helms and I am pleased to be a longtime customer.

Did not addressed the 72 pages of error code and stated there was no issues with the a/c system. A/c steel has issues. NOT WORKING! --Roger, Your suggestions would have worked but do not forget after your read my review you called me to tell me that because of my review, you no longer will be trying to determine what the problem was, ***Florida Atlantic Air** found and fix the issue on the first visit. What should have been a simple capacitor replacement covered under warranty turned into a nearly two-week headache that ultimately caused an electrical issue in my home.
The scheduling was extremely unreliable. Appointments were missed, notifications were sent that they were on their way, but the technicians arrived hours after the scheduled time window, which caused me to lose two full days of work. Communication was equally frustrating. I called multiple times, asking to speak with a manager, and received no response until I finally left a Google review.
The manager responded within hours of the review. I was assured the issue would be resolved once and for all at no cost, given the warranty coverage and the poor experience. However, more than four months later, the billing department continues to send me an invoice for $595. I have called and left multiple messages, but once again, no one is calling me back.
Between the lack of follow-through, poor scheduling, unresolved billing for a warranty-covered repair, and repeated communication failures, I am extremely dissatisfied. This experience showed a serious lack of accountability and timely service resolution. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Called for an issue with heat and a problem with digital thermostat. Our tech Cliff was exceptional. He took the time to figure out the issue and repair with the upmost of care. We’ve always used Ed Helms for our AC maintenance.

I have been using Edd Helms for a very long time. Today was no exception to perfection.
It b is that time of the year to replace my Fire Alarm and Carbon Detectors. Once again Phil to my rescue. He installed three (3) of them. He is simply fabulous. He explained what was happening with my older one. Next on my list is making sure all of my switch plates and dimmers are all perfect. Phil, thank you so much for the professional service you provude.me and my home. Everything seems so much better after you have taken care of my home. Fantastic experience with Tim! He was very communicative, calling ahead in the morning to give an estimate of his arrival time and even asked if he could arrive a bit sooner since he was tracking earlier. Explained things helpfully and clearly. When he saw a requested job to hook up our heating would be much more complicated than expected, he explained things thoroughly with no pressure to move forward and he did made sure not charge us for this since no work was done and it was a consultation. Will definitely use Edd Helms in the future!
