Do No Use this company. They will charge you for services they did not complete. Very bad customer service.

Meeks Electric were great! Such great guys and so considerate of our clinic atmosphere!! They were right on time and have done such great work for us for several years now!!

Used Meeks on several projects. The electrican Matt is very competent and got the panel replacement done quickly but Kevin, who they sent to finish up, punched two halls in my walls (went through either side of sheetrock) where a light fixture was not going.
I was also feeding an old subpanel off of the new panel they installed, and during installation they disconnected my dryer circuit. Had them come back and they billed me $100 for a 5 minute reconnection.
Let me mention they've also been getting more expensive. The last estimate they did was $1200 for 6 motion detectors on existing circuits. I can't imagine this taking more than a half day for an electrician and helper.
The final straw was today talking to the "secretary". This guy is extremely unhelpful. It might be because I am from New Jersey, but this guy was very condescending and was acting like it was too much for him to do to schedule an estimate around my schedule. Isn't that a secretary's job? Why does this company act like they are doing me a favor? It's not a favor when you're charging me out the wazoo.
Rant over. Two stars because Matt is a great dude. -
We called them to replace our weatherhead, box, and meter after the storm. We had previously gotten a quote from a different electrician but we wanted to find someone to do it sooner. Meeks quoted us nearly twice as much than the original electrician we called. I called three other electricians after that and all of them gave me the exact same quote as the first electrician. Meeks Electrical should be ashamed of themselves for charging nearly twice as much during a natural disaster.

It's always great work. Quick and efficient. The price was fair. Always available and affordable. Their head guy Chris is the best

I bought a very expensive spa from Pinch a Penny and was referred to Meeks electric to wire my deck for a panel. Cue a series of very fortunate events. First they told me they were coming on Tuesday. Hearing nothing I called on Monday. Was advised that my paperwork must been lost and I was not on the schedule. No call back that day. They finally came Thursday. The two gentlemen finished in about 2 hrs. Pinch -a-Penny came out and advised that the hot tub wasn’t working correctly because it was wired incorrectly. Meeks sent two new people out the next morning. One advised that the people from yesterday “totally screwed it up” and that one was a “crackhead.” (??) They apologized and did what they came to do. Pinch-a-Penny comes back and advises that a hot line has been wired thru a neutral port in the box. THIS COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE!! Meeks comes back. Acknowledges the wiring is incorrect, but blamed the weather (it was chilly and sprinkling). Please note the P-a-P person found the error under the same conditions. Meeks denies that it could have damaged the hot tub (untrue). No answer for “could it have hurt someone” or “isn’t that illegal”. I said “fine, I have a picture of what you did. Lead worker gets an attitude and refuses to say anything else. When he’s done, he looks at me deadpan and in the most sarcastic voice possible tells me “sorry for your inconvenience.” Called Meeks, explained the events. All they could say was they acknowledged the serious errors, I had a terrible experience, they would speak to the technicians, they were sorry, and hopefully I would use them again so they could show me how good they really are. 😳UHHHHHHH NO. (I paid over $2k for this service.)

Went above and beyond. They came out and installed multiple lights for me on the same day I called and, because my son supervised the work, he called me to make sure each light went in the right spot. Prices were very reasonable too!

Tried calling them three times to get someone to do some work and add some plugs for networking equipment in our office.
First call, they'll get back to me in the next 48 hour . Never heard back and ended up getting someone else to do the work.
Second call, same as above, they'll get back to me in the next 48 hours. This time I called back four days later, and the lady seemed like she had no idea what I was talking about.
I was informed someone would be out today before 1pm. So far, nobody has shown. I ended up having to get someone else again. I won't bother with a third time. -
I had been wanting to brighten up my room with a nice light fixture and decided to give it a go. I searched for electricians in my area and Meeks was the first to pop up. I did read some negative reviews but I personally know you can’t please everyone! Or can you ??? Anywho, the lady who answered I’m sorry I don’t know her name but she was very helpful every step of the way ! I was so nervous because I had been at work all day just thinking about if they were able to do it and how it would look! I’m so happy . You guys exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much !

What an incredible group of professionals! Their work ethic and knowledge is outstanding. Prices are reasonable and they are dependable. Matt and Zac came out and got the job done efficiently; all the while they were true professionals. Kudos to the entire team!!

Skip this place! I was left with a gigantic bill and a non working ceiling fan.
I had to go to Lowe’s 3 times because the technician kept saying the brand new fans were broken. Turns out he didn’t know what he was doing and left the fan not working, with finger and handprints all over the walls and ceiling. He stated he would send his boss back to fix it but nobody every showed up. (Mind you, the company claimed they never came back because I didn’t schedule it.)
The lights the we’re supposed to fixed were left without bulbs which I had to purchase myself, then I had to dispute the bill because I was charged almost $800 for incomplete and shorty work! I ended up paying $300 after being threatened with collections, just to be done with it.
I would never refer anybody to this electrical company. I’ll be finding a different company to fix what the broke… I give this place 4 thumbs down. -
Terrible service. Called to have a 3 phase shop fan hooked up. Tech had no clue on how to wire it up. Installed a temp breaker and was supposed to come back and install a new breaker. Never did. Sent a invoice that I did not pay because job was not complete. The old man called my office and was rude to one of my employees. Threatened to send account to collections. I called back to tell the old man I would be more than happy to pay when they complete the job. At that time he started to dog cuss me out saying I just needed to pay invoice. So too get rid of the nut case my invoice has been paid and called another company to come replace breaker and check there work. Totally unprofessional and highly recommend you use another company.

I like Meeks Electrical Service very very much. They are professional and timely on doing the job. I have used the for eight light fixtures in my home and not one problem. I recommend them for all electrical needs.
-
Meeks delivered an one-time completely professional service for the estimated price. The work was done by an experienced electrician, quickly and cleanly. I would highly recommend this company for your electrical needs.
-
Kevin + team did the electric for my kitchen renovation and did a great job. Fair price, good work, and super nice. Highly recommend.
-
I had weatherhead damage during the winter storm and I was able to get it repaired, inspected and reconnected on the same day I called. Highly recommend and Joe did exceptional work!

I highly recommend Meeks Electrical Services.
We wanted to install an EV charger. They were able to send an electrician first to inspect our circuit and tell us the maximum amperage permitted; once we purchased the charger, they installed it without a problem. The electrician who helped us was Joe.
Everything was clean and very fast. The communication with the main office was very transparent.
Yes, there might be a +-30 min delay in the appointment time, but given that the electrician has several appointments in the day and they have only an approximate time for each, that is natural. -
We have had a great experience with Meeks Electrical. They have recently done outstanding work in our older home to bring the electricity up to date. We were never told "it couldn't be done" as we had been told by other companies. From the beginning, Rachel was so friendly and helpful on the phone. When Chris came to our home to give us an estimate, he listened very carefully to what we wanted and delivered just that. He was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He came back to oversee the work of the other electricians and worked hard himself. Mike and Keith worked tirelessly at our house for two days being meticulous with their work. Mike went above and beyond in the crawlspace alerting us to a water leak that could have cost us thousands if it had gone unnoticed. I would recommend this company and its employees again and again.

This company is a scam. They came out and did not complete the work and charged us $100. I spoke with their Accounting division and was told they would send me a refund within the week. After two weeks I did not receive the refund so I called them back. This time they said the invoice was correct. They charged us a service call charge even though they didn’t do any work. They are rude, they lied about the refund, and they have horrible customer service. Do Not use Meeks electric.

The company seemed great (at 1st). They ended up running too small of a line to a workshed to handle the future load. I did not complain and just asked that they replace it with a larger line and breaker.. I did not complain when they charged full replacement price for the work. They installed the saw outlet in the wrong area. They charged me extra to make a long, heavy-duty cord for the saw, yet I did not complain. They had one more task left to do to finish the project when the owner, Jimmy Meeks Sr., called me and started talking down to me about sending a payment (right now) and would not stop talking or listen to reason. He made it sound like they had called me several times requesting payment over a long period of time, which was not the case at all. I had intended to pay the full amount through our payment system upon receipt of a totaled invoice (as previously explained), which I had not yet received. I hung up on Jimmy after it was obvious that communicating reason to him was beyond a possibility. He left a voicemail and threatened to sue our company and put a lean on our property. He called our corporate office and complained to them after I told him I was already working to process the payment for him (even though the work had not yet been fully completed). I guess he is running the company on nickles, dimes, and stubbornness, because the way he talked, you would think a 6k invoice was going to bankrupt his company of not paid in the next 5 mins. Some people do not need to manage the day to day business, and Jimmy Meeks is definitely one of those people. The secrataries seem to be following his lead as well and sent nasty emails slandering me and my company. I passed the responsibility of processing the payment to another employee because I am done with ever dealing with Meeks Electric Services and will not hire them to change a light bulb.

I called Meeks to help with some electrical stuff at our new house. When I called they advised they would be there at 745 on a certain day. They showed up just before 745 prompt and on time. The two employees were very professional, explained things to me, and even showed me how things worked. They were very respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves! I wish I could remember their names.
Highly recommend Meeks!
