HVAC reviews in Tampa, Florida
-
Terrible..not costume service at all..not professional
-
horrible to see how far Sears has slipped in quality!!
-
Product was as described, all customer service, communication and installation aspects of the job were abysmal
-
Overall experience excellent! the contractor was professional and did an outstanding job.
-
On time, very professional, excellent work and the price was right. I definitely recommend Sears Home Improvements.
-
Replaced single pane 40 year old windows with custom fitted double panes. I am very pleased with the whole process.
-
Contractors did an awesome job however Sear lacks communication skills and project that should have only taken 3 week took 2 months filed a complaint with the BBB

I purchased a complete roof and gutters through Sears through the Tampa office in Florida.. This company is a joke I had a roof done 2 years ago 3 different contractors did horrible jobs They sent inspectors and were told that the roof needed to be replaced and redone Sears told me that they would be replacing the roof And kepy given me reason after reason why they hadn't come out to my home to repair it... Now I'm being told I'm part of the bankruptcy and that my roof will not be repaired Nor will they honor their warranty.... I spend $18000 with this company just to get shafted I filed a claim with this company little over a year ago and a week ago they file bankruptcy and tell me that I'm part of it... I will never give Sears a dime of my money Even if they do stay in business... Keep in mind I have letter stating that they filed claims with insurance... They even amit that its a construction defect... And that the contracters that they hired did a bad job.. its Very sad a company with over a 100 years in business and screws all their customers...

Had my Ac replaced a little over a year ago they left holes in the drywall and exposed ductwork in the bathroom. I was told it was the only way they could have run the duct, however when I finally saved enough to get a contractor to fix the drywall and box in the duct work they refused to do it because it is a safety hazard.

The new HVAC unit was installed in eight hours as the sale's person said it would be. The new unit is quiet, and very efficient. Sears did a followup phone call to confirm our satisfaction with the installation.
-
Sears provided excellent service in installing a new air and heating unit. They were neat and cleaned when finished. I am very happy with the service provided and recommend them to everyone in need of home improvement.

Contracted with Sears in April 17 didn't hear from them until August 17, work wasn't completed until March 18. Very small kitchen cabinet install, first contractor fell off the face of the earth as told to me after surfaces on cabinets were split along with misaligned drawer pulls & knobs, some of the drawer holes weren't drilled through therefore I couldn't finish installing the remaining knobs and handles! The initial Project Coordinator wasn't even licensed in Florida, to date he is no longer with company. Trouble shooter came out 3-4 times to correct issues made by the first subcontractor. Trouble shooter guy was a gem despite the fact that there seems to be no communication between corporate Sears & operation Sears insofar as follow thru or tracking of any sort regarding product delivery etc. Wouldn't recommend Sears for any type of home improvement if this is how they work now, not the Sears of yesterday very very disappointed!

We made an appointment for a service to fix the dryer one month ago and they automatically canceled the services and we made another one, and again they canceled automatically, they said that we canceled it but physically nobody could not touch the email to cancel the appointment. We insisted on having the service on the day we scheduled over the phone and over the chat, but they had no listening ears and tried to schedule 10 days later.

Good job on counter top. BUT when they took my old sink they also took the stainless steel bottom grid! It took me an hour on the internet and $100 to replace. I was not told until the installers were leaving that I now needed a plumber and an electrician to finish the job. I was 2 days without a kitchen. Also I was not told by anyone that the guard to protect against silverware going down the disposal was gone and I needed a new one. All of these extras cost over $1300. I did get $525 rebate toward these expenses.

One month from the original appt and still waiting for them to show up to do the repair.
1. They cancelled the first appt because not all the parts had arrived.
2. One month goes by, I call to inquire where the rest of the parts are. They say “ the parts were already installed and the repair is closed out”. I explained no one has shown up as we were told still more parts to be delivered.
3. Schedule new appt. 8am-5pm. 5 pm
Still nothing. Called. Took forever to get through. She says “ sorry, they never assigned anyone to your repair”. Another day wasted waiting.
It’s very difficult to understand the call center people. They are located in SE Asia according the lady I spoke with. I asked where they were located.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WISH I HAD READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE I CALLED THEM. -
My appointment to fix the Dryer was between 1pm - 5pm on Wednesday, 12/4th/2024. Guess what- the assigned technician never showed up. This is the first and the last time I would like to use Sears Home Services. Absolutely disappointing!

I needed a repair done on my Bosch Refrigerator. When I booked the appointment, I gave the model number and a description of the damaged piece. The service technician showed up and observed the damaged piece. He was unable to track down the piece needed so he essentially came out and did nothing. So, under protest, I paid the service visit fee, of about $150, for exactly nothing. If a repair company is unable to find parts for your appliance, they shouldn’t say that they can, or make trips out to your home, only to say that they can’t help you.

If I could give negative stars I would. They don't show up they cancel appointments at will and are no help what so ever when you call. You get a merry go round of agents as they just transfer you and say they can't help. I have been trying to get my a/c fixed since May my home warranty has authorized the repair and their technician lied and stated: Customer Declined Service try to get a hold of customer waited over 15 minutes no reply. I have a ring door bell and outside cameras I confirmed the appointment and they were a no show. Tech. texted me I responded immediately as I had my phone in my hand when he texted. The call went straight to voicemail didn't even ring. I left him a voicemail and texted him twice no response from Sears tech Abe and he closed my ticket. They say they can't reopen it and so here I am after 2 hurricanes in the last 4 weeks and I have no a/c and Sears could care less. I have to start at square one becaue they have the ability to close the ticket with no proof. What a scam do not trust or use this company they have zero interest in helping the consumer.

Complete waste of money. I’ve been paying for this service for over a year. Come time to finally have something fixed after the first appointment and missing work to find out we need a special order part. Once that arrives I take off work a second time for the actual repair. Sears was a no call no show. After exhausting every attempt to reach someone was only able to actually reach a person when inquiring about a new service of course, at that time you get someone who barely speaks clear English and is absolutely no help whatsoever.

Booked service to repair the ice dispenser on a fridge. Was told diagnostic charge of $139 + tax would be credited to repair charge unless I declined the repair. Turns out the technician claimed the part needed to do the repair was not available but still insisted on collecting the diagnostic charge. Not good customer service at all! Should not have been charged a diagnostic fee since I really had no option of declining the repair. The tech essentially declined on my behalf and insisted on collecting diagnostic fee for a repair he could not offer to do. Paid but not likely to do business with Sears again. Glad I did not sign up for their warranty service offer

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I will be canceling this service as soon as they finally come fix our washer. They canceled our appt stating parts wouldn't be delivered in time which was not the case we had both parts 3 days prior to originally scheduled service date bu t by that time they had already given us a new service date and would not change it back!!! I contacted customer service they said they would escalate and someone would be in touch in 3 business days..I NEVER heard a word!!!! It will be 17 days by the time they come fix the machine. 17 days with a full load of laundry inside bc the door is locked and will not open. HORRIBLE..I will be finding another company for our appliances asap.
