I called Acree Plumbing, Air & Electric because the fan on my HVAC system would not shut off, even when the AC or heat was not running. They came out and diagnosed the issue as a bad fan motor and quoted $1,800 for the motor plus $400 for labor. They said the repair would take two to three hours and that the motor had to be special ordered, meaning the system would not be fixed for a couple of days.

While they were there, they told me multiple other components were failing and strongly pushed me toward replacing the entire AC system since the cost of parts would add up. The conversation shifted heavily into sales. They wanted to enroll me in a $20 a month membership in order to save 10 percent and then put me on a call with a sales representative.

The sales rep immediately began pitching AC replacement packages and started with a $30,000 system, going through features and upgrade options like I would actually buy it. At that point the interaction felt far more focused on selling than fixing the actual problem. I told them I could not afford a new unit and asked them to just order the fan motor. They placed the order.

The next morning I called for a second opinion. Another HVAC technician arrived within an hour. When I explained what Acree had quoted and recommended, he laughed. He called a nearby supply store, drove about 20 minutes, picked up a new fan motor for $700, and installed it in roughly 20 minutes. The fan and system have worked perfectly since. He also reviewed the other issues Acree claimed were urgent and told me I had plenty of time before any of those would realistically need to be addressed. Luckily, I was able to call Acree and cancel the order for the new $1,800 fan motor.

Based on my experience, Acree Plumbing, Air & Electric attempted to sell an overpriced motor, overpriced labor, unnecessary maintenance, and a premature full AC replacement. My AC unit is 8 years old and will inevitably need to be replaced soon, but not today. This felt like a company that prioritizes sales over honest diagnostics and practical repairs, especially for customers who are not HVAC experts.

I am extremely glad I got a second opinion. I will not be using Acree again and will instead be referring the second technician to friends and family going forward.

Zak was great! Will request him if I should need any plumbing work. Zak was on time. He was professional, efficient, finished the job the correctly the first time. He inquired with me about my desired outcome Before taking steps to get the parts. He said that our water would be running before he left. He actually had the water running in less than an hour. Allowing our family to shower while he fixed the washer connections. He’s an expert and a master of his trade. We will ask for Zak for any future repair. The end result looked exactly like he said it would and the hot and cold water are working perfect.

George did a great job of explaining how my plumbing problems would be addressed and proactively shared possible further issues that may come up in resolving the problems I called Acree out to fix. I was kept up-to-date every step of the way. George is very knowledgeable and I had him quote me for other other future possible plumbing needs and the options for each so I can plan ahead of time. I would highly recommend Acree and George. For my next plumbing service, I hope they send George out again.

On Christmas Eve a pipe going into my hot water heater burst. There were gallons of water everywhere. Not only did Acree respond in less than an hour, they also evaluated the damage, recommended a clean up that would remove the mildew, fixed the pipes, and replaced the hot water heater in a few hours. Daryle W. Literally saved my Christmas and new years. They provided such amazing service to my family. The water pressure in my whole house is better than it has been in months. The temperature is normal now as well. Acree showed up on a holiday and completed a huge project on the same day and made everything in my house better. I cannot express how grateful we are, and how this saved hours of my life and hundreds if not thousands of dollars in repairs and peace of mind. Daryle’s prompt service and answers to my questions helped me make an informed wise decision that is going to provide guarantees to myself and my family that any problems we have going forward we can count on Acree to help. MJ did a wonderful job! Very polite, excellent communication and efficient. He diagnosed and repaired my issue right away. His work area was spotless when he left! I had a terrible experience with a different local plumbing company, but because of MJ I will be using Acree from now on.

Their tech George was great. Very professional and informative. I was the last appointment for his day on December 31st. He did a great job completing a temporary fix to our water leak and then stayed until 8pm at night to look over our whole house and give us several choices of permanent fixes with detailed quotes. He didn’t rush and said he would follow up in a couple days. Happy New Year!

On Friday the 13th, our hot water pipe burst at about 10:30 pm. Called Acree first thing Saturday morning. The customer service representative, Mal, was very courteous and helpful. She scheduled a technician to come out that afternoon. Then, the technician, Pauli, called and said he could arrive earlier. Pauli was excellent and provided fantastic service, insights, and advice. The repair was completed before noon. I highly recommend Acree Plumbing, Air, and Electric.

Donald did a great job with an outdoor faucet that needed to be removed and replaced. Donald created a new line, placed a new faucet, filled the whole, and even did cement work to patch the area.

It looks great and I no longer have to lug my other hose from the opposite side of my home to water my plants!!

The place it was in it was a very difficult job, but he did it with no trouble at all. Gio came out to replace our AC coils and install UV for some mold he found near our unit. He was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond and even explained the membership to us, which we ended up joining. He worked around kids running around and was extremely thorough. I will be requesting him again!! He was awesome!

I had Anthony from Acree plumbing and heating come out after multiple attempts from several other people Anthony was very courteous on time and very knowledgeable about the entire situation. Within the matter of 10 minutes he got down to the problem took apart my AC unit and found out exactly what was wrong well explaining me through the whole process when I specifically asked for somebody that knew what they were doing because the last several people that came out gave me the runaround and tried to have me replaced several parts that weren't even the issue. Anthony was very professional got down to the problem within about 15 minutes and gave me a proper plan to fix the situation very professionally which I agreed to immediately because I had full confidence in his decision making. I have been trying to get this air condition fixed for a year now but I just had no confidence in the people before. Anthony showed great aptitude for his skill set and offered me a great plan to get everything fixed in a timely manner. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with acree plumbing and heating and couldn't be happier with the gentleman they sent out Anthony. I had a brand-new HVAC system installed in October, and the experience since then has been completely unacceptable.

Within 24 hours of installation, the air handler was leaking. It took two service calls to repair it. When we turned the heat on for the first time last week, it didn’t work. Thankfully, the smart thermostat showed a wiring error. When the technician came out, he admitted a wire had been installed backwards. That major mistake caused an electrical surge that fried my garage door console. I had to pay out of pocket to replace it, and the garage door company confirmed it was damaged by an electrical surge. It stopped working the exact same day I turned the heat on.

Today, I turned on the AC — and it’s blowing hot air.

This is now four service calls on a brand-new system. Acree advertises 24-hour service, yet I’m being told they cannot come out until tomorrow between 12–4. I have called Brian Quiles, the service manager, twice and have received no return call. There is also no way to speak with anyone in accounting, despite the fact that they charged the wrong payment source for preventative maintenance and kept my card on file without my permission on two separate occasions.

After spending thousands of dollars, my unit was installed incorrectly, continues to malfunction, has caused damage to my property, and I cannot get management to respond. That is unacceptable.

I would strongly caution anyone against using this company if this is how they handle serious installation errors and customer concerns.

I have also contacted the Building Inspector to determine how this installation passed inspection, as no inspector came to my home, yet the permit has been closed out.

This entire situation reflects negligence, poor workmanship, and a complete lack of accountability.

Luis Mandujano is topnotch, very thorough, and adheres to a structured approach to systems analysis and repair.
Communicating with Luis was as if I'd known him for years. He is polite and extremely knowledgeable. My wife commented to me that this was her first time understanding nearly everything a service technician (Luis) discussed with us.

I had a great experience with Braden Ford fixing a leak on my main water line supply found on the exterior of my home. From start to finish, Braden was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. What really stood out was how clearly he explained the what and the why behind the repair, which gave me a lot of confidence in the work being done. He also took the time to offer excellent recommendations on how to prevent the pressure relief valve from leaking again in the future. It’s rare to find someone who combines technical expertise with great communication, but Braden absolutely does. I was extremely pleased with his work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a reliable, skilled plumber.

Cameron was amazing! He came promptly at 8am which is so rare in Florida! Messaged me beforehand so I would be aware. He was kind. So tidy. Efficient. He even took his shoes off in my home 💙 a true gentleman. Did not get annoyed at my little Frenchie that was all over him at all! He was so detailed in his work, photos and explanation of everything! What a great professional and what a great company. I signed us for a membership because ... obviously, why wouldn't I want service from such a great company regularly!? Duh!
