Worst repair service we have ever had! Our air conditioning was out, so our home warranty sent Sears Home Services technician Jarrod. My wife told Jarrod she once worked for an air conditioning/heating company and that she thought the problem might be a capacitor as we had a power outage just before it quit working. Jarrod advised we needed to pay the $100 fee prior to him doing any work, which we did. Jarrod took the cover off the inside unit and advised us that the coils were dirty, that was the problem. He checked the outside unit and said the pressure was good. He then advised us that we needed to get a maintenance program on the system and have it cleaned. He then left and we still had no air conditioning. We contacted our neighbor later that day, who is an engineer, and he advised we had been lied to. He said a dirty coil would not prevent the system from running and also thought it might be the capacitor. He looked at the system and suggested we replace the capacitor. We did replace the capacitor and holly cow we once again had air conditioning. What do you think our odds are of getting that $100 back? We would guess slim and none!

I had an issue with my oven after the cabinet installer put the oven back in. My oven would not come out of preheat mode. I contacted Sears to have them check to see what was wrong with the oven. The technician told me that the reset letter on the back of the stove needed to be turned on and that was it. Nothing had to be fixed. Then he tells me that will be $319. I asked him why are you charging me over the $139 if you didn't have to fix it? He said that's the price it's going to be. Then I just left dirty finger prints all over my white quartz countertops. Not to mention he was an hour late. I think their prices are ridiculous and I don't appreciate how they lied about their pricing and cleanliness. I would not recommend them.

Stay away from sears home services. They sent 2 men to diagnose my Microwave problem. They ordered 4 parts and had them shipped to my house. A different technician came to install the parts and found that the unit still did not work. He opened the unit and found a $40.oo parts was the problem. Again the part was sent to the house and fortunately the same technician came and installed the part and the unit works. The company refused a full reimbursement for the bad first call and partially gave me credit for the proper repair. I posted a negative review which they responded by telling me to go to their site to get in touch with customer service. All you get is an Ai voice that goes nowhere. My advise, get a certified repair center in your are and forget about Sears Home Services

Temperge Cooling is one of the best hvac company I have ever dealt with. The installer that they sent out, David, was very professional and courteous. He responded to all our questions in a timely manner and went out of his way to provide an excellent installation.
