HVAC reviews in Tampa, Florida

Kenny’s is a company I have used for a long time. Today they did preventive tune ups. Javier and Evan are the best. I would recommend.

Our AC went out today and after much frustration with other vendors these guys answered the phone quickly, were to the point and arrived extremely promptly. Our house was already over 90 degrees when they arrived, we were becoming delirious. Gage assessed and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes. It was about $330 to fix the issue but we were happy to pay for working AC. The guys were super nice and gave us some good tips. Highly recommend this company.

The guys took out the old A/C in the attic and installed a new unit in the garage.. this was after the old unit died 6 times. Workers were pleasant, cleaned up and got the new unit working.. we paid about 11,000 and were happy with that price- happier still to have cool air. Thank you, Kenny’s A/C

During annual maintenance a problem was discovered that I initially believed would require a long wait for a part and several hundred dollars for the job. Joe sent a tech back to double check and discovered a minor repair was all that was needed and the cost was already covered in my annual maintenance visit fee. I continue to be impressed with the entire team at Kenny’s.

Right price. Right equipment. Right skills to install. Not being penalized for using a credit card. #1 on Reddit for a reason. I found out. What’s not to like? Highly recommend!!!

Javier is the absolute best. He is knowledgeable, reliable, and spends time to help explain and come up with options. I greatly appreciate Kenny’s A/C for prompt and friendly service paired with reasonable pricing.

I had my AC serviced yesterday by Kenny’s Air, and the technician was very professional and thorough. He made sure everything was working properly both the AC and the heat. Excellent service overall! I’ll definitely be recommending Kenny’s Air to others.

After many years of service our AC finally died and we needed it replaced. Kenny's was recommended to me by a family member after getting a few quotes from other places as high as $12,000. These guys came in with a fair price and professionalism and were able to get the whole job done in a day leaving no mess. 100% going to call them again if anything should go wrong down the road or at another property.

I used Kenny's AC at my condo and they were nothing short of spectacular, they installed a brand new unit and it ran flawlessly for the 5 years that I lived there. I'm now living in a single family home and the service they provide has done a complete 180.
We noticed the coils on the outdoor unit were freezing. They came to my house and I pointed out that the return duct in the master bedroom collapsed which they said was likely the issue. My wife and I were leaving on our honeymoon for 2 weeks and were having my in-law stay at the house, Kenny's was to come out and complete the repair while we were gone. They came out, it got repaired, and the AC worked great for 2 days.
The coils then started freezing again, they came out stating the blower motor at the air handler was running inefficiently which was likely causing the freezing. They then fully turned off the unit (at the condenser and air handler level), and left my in-law in a house in the middle of a Florida summer with no AC without advising her. They offered a temp AC unit until the permanent fix was done which we called to get delivered, but they told us they didn't have any more loaners.
The quote they provided for the motor was grossly overpriced (I got it fixed for half the price with another company), and even when I called probably 15 times to start the repair I was either being sent to voicemail, having the AI assistant pick up, or having a customer service rep say a tech would call me back to confirm the details, all from 8 hours ahead in Europe while trying to communicate with my in-law on her availability.
We get back home and I manually turn everything back on after some troubleshooting since I'd rather have a half working AC then no AC at all. I'm finally able to get a manager to come out to the finalize the plan for the repair (full replacement of the air handler and relocating to my garage), he says he'll get a quote sent over and call to confirm the timeline but to this day (1.5 months later), I've received nothing from anybody.
If they couldn't get it done or weren't confident in the repair I get it but just communicate and I would look elsewhere. The lack of communication is infuriating from a company that has been to my house nearly 5 times.
We then reached out to a new company (Breeze of the Bay) to inspect the motor issue and got it repaired for half the price in literally 4 days. My AC has been working flawlessly ever since.
It's almost comical how horrendous this experience has been, lack of communication and expertise made me lose all faith in recommending Kenny's to any friends/family again. -
Our AC stopped working the day before Thanksgiving. I called so many places, but no one was available that late in the day, except Kenny's. They were kind, courteous and knowledgeable. Even though they had to wait for a part, they made sure that we had AC. Javier, Anthony and a third guy whose name we can't remember saved Thanksgiving! When they replaced the control board, they did a great job. Highly recommend!

Knowledgable and friendly! Kenny’s Air got my AC working again quickly. They thoroughly explained the problem, how they fixed it, and why it happened. I really appreciated their professionalism, very honest and upfront. Thank you!

Kenny's air conditioning is fantastic. Always very professional, courteous and does a great job. I've used them for over 40 years, I am on a preventive maintenance plan with them to keep my units healthy

This was part 2 of my annual service. In June Evan completely serviced my air conditioner. He hosed the entire inside which had not been done in over 10 years if ever. It even sounds better. With part 2 the furnace (I’m from Chicago) was cleaned and flushed and a new filter (I supplied) was installed. Very nice and patient service man. Answered all questions and put up with many management rules. Kenny’s is #1 in my book.

Kenny’s Air gave us the best-priced quote and the fastest turnaround for installation. We had already gotten multiple quotes from other companies, and most of them felt like the same script: higher prices for what I considered more “budget” equipment, weaker warranties, and a lot of sales-y “let me call my manager/owner” negotiation tactics and add-on gimmicks. Kenny’s Air was the opposite. Straightforward, no pressure, and no nonsense.
They were actually our first quote. They showed up on time, asked what we wanted, gave advice that matched the research I’d done, and provided pricing quickly without dragging things out. A few weeks later our older system (almost 12 years old) finally gave up, likely the ECM module, which had it running continuously while power was on. At that point we were ready to move forward to avoid an expensive repair on an old system. Bianca was extremely helpful through email, including updating the quote when we realized the original air handler wouldn’t fit our closet space. She got us scheduled fast (about two days out), which we really appreciated because Florida winter is almost over.
Install day took all day, which is exactly what I wanted. Everything I read said modern systems are only as good as the installer, and the Kenny’s Air crew proved that true. They were professional, polite, careful, and took their time doing it right. They tested everything thoroughly and had the system running and confirmed before they left.
We’re very happy with the result. We went with a Rheem two-stage heat pump and a two-speed air handler, and despite other companies telling us it “wouldn’t make a difference,” the comfort improvement is already noticeable. More consistent temps, less aggressive cycling with more humidity control especially at night, and it keeps up much better on warmer days. The heat pump heat feature is also quite great for this last crazy cold front (and future ones) we just had. We're hoping to save a little bit on efficiency too. My husband and I are both healthcare (ICU nurse + pediatric NP), and after a long shift the last thing we want is to come home to a house in which we can't stay comfortable. Kenny’s Air delivered. We’ll be setting up routine maintenance with them and I’ve already recommended them to a neighbor and a coworker. -
Great people who know what they’re doing and don’t rip you off! Travis was fabulous, very professional and explained all of our options. We’ve been Progressive customers for about 15 years, and they earn it with every visit.

Our service tech today was Jeff. I rarely leave reviews but for exceptional service, I was brought here. He was polite, informative, and professional. When he entered my home, he took off his shoes respecting our space which meant a lot to me. He step by step explained our problem, and what we could do in the future to avoid it. The guy was great!
