Plumbing reviews in Tampa, Florida
-
We wish to thank Frank and his crew for the excellent work they did in revitalizing our old plumbing system with their expertise. Their process was much cleaner and more productive that that suggested by other plumbers who wanted to tear up our flooring. I cannot speak more highly of this company and its professional crew.

Our home was built in 1965 with cast iron plumbing. We were constantly calling plumbing companies to clear our pipes. I saw an advertisement for YPOXI and was unaware the cast iron pies could be relined. My thought was always that the concrete floors would have to be broken up to access the pipes for replacement. Long story short, I employed YPOXI and the rest of the story is history. The crew had to return for a few times for minor adjustments and were as or more professional than you would expect. In the event we were ever to move, the work performed by YPOXI will be a big selling point. Thanks YPOXI for our peace of mind when it comes to plumbing issues.

Ypoxi saved me from a very expensive and time consuming re-pipe project! The plumbing company told me that my pipes needed to to be dug up and replaced. They also said that re-piping was not an option because sand was visible through the main line.
Xpoxi assured me from the first phone call that they could fix the problem without digging up the pipes. True to their word they had the job done in two days, and with very little mess and no damage to my floors. -
Our home was built in 1963 with cast iron pipes. Due to more frequent backups, we had a camera review done of the pipes and stacks which revealed significant scaling. I contacted Ypoxi and talked to Jeff Kaplan unsure if they could perform their service due to the condition of our pipes. Jeff was great. He reviewed the video of the pipes with their General Manager, Brad, and informed me that they were confident that they could perform their epoxy coating service. The installation team of Carlos, Abner and Willie were professional, efficient and very customer service oriented. Their knowledge and experience at performing this service was very obvious. They faced every challenge with the confidence that they could do an excellent job for us which they did. Further, the team was always willing to answer our questions and keep us informed as to the progress of the job. Upon completion of the service, a video is provided which displayed the milled and epoxy coated pipes and stacks. What a joy to see! Further, Ypoxi backs their service with a 25 year transferable warranty. I looked at pipe restoration, pipe relining and epoxy coating and chose the epoxy coating service of Ypoxi. I am so very pleased with job that they did for us. I highly recommend Ypoxi.

I had “Ypoxi” line all of the pipes in my home.
My initial contact with Jeff Kaplan from sales was wonderful. He sent a local plumber to my house the day after we spoke to initiate the process.
The crew came and was lead by Carlos.
They put cardboard runners over all of my flooring. They put protective plastic on all of the walls from floor to ceiling.
The crew was so neat and conscientious. It was necessary for them to cut a small hole in my wall to remove a pipe. They also had to take up two tiles to gain access to the pipes in my laundry. They put up plastic tents to keep debris from spreading. When they finished, Willie fixed the wall and put in new tiles.
The water runs so well in my home now.
Ypoxi seems to have cured my many plumbing issues. I wish I had called them sooner.
The crew arrived early and stayed late every day. They treated my home like it was theirs.
I’m very satisfied with Ypoxi and I recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues. -
Thank you for taking our home. Ypoxi took a video of our deteriorating cast iron sewer pipes and found more deterioration of the 1974 build. Another company had done a video that showed only the damage in the main pipe. Ypoxi ‘s video was much more complete, showing the entire system.
Th his afternoon the crew completed the project… thorough and complete. Total clean up after checking everything was working properly. New camera images to prove the job was done correctly!!!
I am grateful. There is no question in my mind that we made the absolute best choice to hire Ypoxy!!!!! You accomplished more needed work for less money. My husband and I feel sure we’ll be able to live out the rest of our days with no sewer breaks and a 25 year warranty on a great job!
(The first company we contacted cost $500 more to onnly reline the main line, nothing to and from bathrooms and kitchen. They would have missed a major break in a side line from one of the bathrooms😱 and their 15 yr warranty would cover the damage they missed!!!)
Sincere thanks to Richie Rojo, the foreman, who kept us informed during the entire job. He worked with an outstanding crew: Abner A., Alan J., Nick W., Kyles G. This men believe in the quality and value of this product and procedure.
Thank you Ypoxi!!! Thank you to Sales Rep Jeff Kaplan for setting us up and Sandra in the office for getting us scheduled, help with payments and keeping us posted!! This company has much to be appreciated in the personnel representing their company!!!
And thank you sewer pipes that are smooth and no cracks or holes!!!
***After 1 year our sewer system is still perfection.
Wish we’d been able to spare our friends heartbreak and money!! Before our system literally fell apart, our friends had a sewer break. None of us knew about Ypoxy at that time. Our friends hired another company who contacted to open the floor and actually replace the iron sewer pipes with pvc. It took months and over $50,000
Ypoxy had one small dig and the rest relining, for well under $15,000. They have 3 bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. We have two bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. I had two tiles to replace, while the had the whole house. If only we’d known out Ypoxy for our friends sake!!!!!
Seriously, our friends had a break under their tub, the rest could have simply been refined in a week, not a house torn apart for 3 months!
THANK You Ypoxy!!!! -
They just finished an epoxy job on our old cast iron pipes under the house. The crew were very professional, polite, on time, clean and kept us informed every step of the way in the 3 days they were here. We are very happy with the end result. It really pays to get an alternate estimate, even if the company is out of your area.

I was very concerned about spending so much money to have this done. However, Sandra put my mind at ease by explaining things to me. When Miguel arrived with his team, I felt prepared for the two days ahead of me. This team did an outstanding job of protecting all the areas involved, they were very neat and also showed my what they were doing with each step. This process is so much better than tearing up flooring, replacing pipes and then replacing all the floors again. I’m thrilled with the job they did and it was completed in 2 days. Thank you very much.

We used ypoxi to line our 70 year old cast iron pipes and they did a really great job. The staff worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and everything works perfectly now. We had one little mis communication but Frank and the team came the very next day and handled it in a professional manner. I got lots of quotes from a few companies and ypoxi had the best price and were grest to deal with from the first call to job completion. Give them a call.

They rushed through the job once I paid the final invoice. Not only did they leave all kinds of tools and cast iron pipe waste laying around throughout our yard and drive way, our shower doesn’t drain (which was not a problem before they started the cast iron restoration project). Going on week 3 of showering in shin deep water and still no word from them to come back and fix. I have not received the warranty paperwork and camera footage they promised while rushing out their last day. All my attempts to get the shower drain back to normal operation is met with excuses, same with the warranty paperwork and camera footage. My advice is do not pay that final invoice when they send it, wait until they are gone and you’ve checked everything for yourself.

Just had my cast iron pipes relined by YPoxi. The team that arrived are a great group of guys. They work well together, were punctual every day and did a fantastic job. Jeff Kaplan did a great job from first contact through the entire process of getting the job completed. I also coordinated scheduling and payment with Sandra and she was also a pleasure to work with. I live in South Florida and it was refreshing to work with a professional vendor that knows what they are doing. I would definitely recommend this vendor for anyone who wants to rehab their cast iron pipes.

I'm glad to have selected Ypoxi for cast iron drain relining, although it was an intricate procedure, they explained everything in detail which made the process easy and seamless. The lead technician Cody was extremely helpful throughout the repair. He and his team Carlos, Julian, and Michael did an awesome job.

We had our pipes relined by Ypoxi a year ago, it was an extremely good experience. No mess, no fuss, the workers were very clean and professional. We've not had any issues since then and I would highly recommend anyone having to redo their pipes contact this company first. No matter where you are, we're on the east coast and their office was on the west coast, no matter, to them, it was like they were a mile away.

We had issues with corrosion of drainage cast iron pipes. I filled out a quote online and they responded very quickly with a phone call.
Jeff the sales representative for Ypoxi explained their process and cost to complete the job. After estimates from another company wanting to tear my floors up and not be responsible for tearing stuff up at a very unreasonable price.
Ypoxi was the best and most efficient and reasonable company. It still seemed expensive to me but I’m an old man with thinking of prices
20 years ago. Jeff helped me with processing a very reasonable loan for me.
Fantastic person and everything was coordinated
With Sandra, also an awesome
lady.
When the crew arrived they were young men but I found out they were some of the most Knowledgeable and very hard working guys.
Extremely knowledgeable, pleasant, respectful, informative, I guess I could go on and on. But anyway these guys arrived early and left later in the day. They put cloth down every morning removed and reinstalled toilets every day. Our home was useable every day they left. They cleaned every day, left our home clean.
They kept us informed every day about what was happening.
I would definitely recommend this company if you have any plumbing issues.
This company should be proud of these guys. Like I said very very professional.
The crew was:
Luke
Dominick
Carlos
Thank You for very Excellent
and Professional Job. -
Our home was built in 1969 and had cast iron drain pipes. We had a broken pipe under the slab. I made contact with Jeff Kaplan to inquire about lining my cast iron drain pipes. We received a quote that had a detailed the scope of work. Sandra called and set up the appointment and was very professional. The team showed up on time the day of the appointment (and every day). The crew (Richie, Alan, Carlos, Luke and Willie) were very professional and gave us progress and process updates throughout the procedure. When the job was finished, they cleaned up and left our home the way they found it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Rich and his team were professional, communicative, and respectful of our home. They were friendly, arrived on time, and were able to come up with solutions when issues were discovered; all for the original quoted price. Our pipes were in pretty bad shape, but the Ypoxi team was still able to get the job done! I would highly recommend them your home.

Ypoxi is an excellent company to work with. They restored the function of our cast iron pipes and saved us thousands compared to tearing up tile, cutting concrete and putting it all back again. They showed up as promised and completed the job in three days. Very professional and friendly service. It has been a year now and everything works as promised.

We had issues with our pipes every two months like clockwork since we bought the house. We called in at least three separate plumbers and paid thousands to have various things done, none of which handled anything. The last people we got said that the reason we were getting no joy was that our pipes were just past life expectancy and we'd have to gut the whole thing and redo it - which included pulling up the floors all throughout the house, etc. Needless to say we were not thrilled at the prospect of spending tens of thousands so that the toilet would reliably work.
After doing more research online, I found YPoxi and got on a call and they were extremely knowledgeable, and everything that had happened was actually very predictable and due to the circumstances. They came out and reviewed the whole situation, gave me a full estimate for everything, with more information which was great even if I didn't decide to use them.
Needless to say, we did end up using YPoxi, which was a LOT less than redoing all the plumbing. They restored and relined all the iron pipes and I'm happy to report that it's now 7 months later and we haven't had a single problem.
Very professional, very fast to reply, whole relining done in two days, they cleaned up everything beautifully. Definitely recommend if you have old iron pipes, or a similar situation to ours. -
I previously used a different company to de-scale my old cast iron drain line and planned to move forward with them to repair it, until they started playing games with me on the price. I ended up asking my neighbor - who had this repair done a few years ago - who he used and he referred me to Ypoxi. They came out to inspect our drain line and said that the previous company barely did anything when de-scaling.
Ypoxi then provided me a quote and right away I was impressed with how detailed the quote was. It included a couple pages describing everything they would do and their process, whereas the other company's quote had maybe 4 one-sentence bullet points about what they would do.
My wife and I decided to go with Ypoxi and we could not be happier with this decision. The crew - Richie R., Alan J., Miguel L., and Steve L. - were amazing. They were knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, professional, and great with communication and setting expectations. Each day of the project, they talked to me multiple times a day to let me know where they were at with the project and what they were working on, progress, etc.
The team provided me with a USB drive of video footage taken before beginning, after de-scaling, and after repair.
A couple other things worth mentioning: their warranty (product and labor) is better than their competition, and my experience with the others I interacted with - Jeff, Brad, and Sandra - were great as well.
I really don't have any complaints about my experience with Ypoxi, which I have found to be very rare when dealing with home repair and renovation projects. I fully recommend them. -
We had about a 30-foot section of cast iron pipe, under our newly remodeled kitchen, that was failing and causing the downstairs bathrooms to backup. We were frustrated as we were told this was all PVC when we purchased the house. We called every plumber in the area and were not impressed with the options or schedule to fix the problem.
I was recommended to Ypoxi and called them right away. I initially spoke with Jeff, and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and mostly understanding of how frustrating of an issue we were having. He said that they would have a solution to repair the pipe with minimal damage and downtime. I was concerned about how long it would take to get on the schedule since we are on the other side of the State (Space Coast), but he said he would work hard to get us in with another job when they had a crew over here.
Shortly after the initial call, I spoke with Sandra and Jeff, and they almost immediately got us on the schedule with another job in the area.
The crew that showed up were friendly, knowledgeable, clean, and hardworking. They showed me the video of the pipe and explained that they would do a combination of Cure in Place and Epoxy to fix the problems. The job took a day to prep and repair. The next day (Saturday) they took a final inspection video, reinstalled toilet, and did final clean up. They reviewed the video with me and gave me a copy of the before and after videos on a thumb drive.
We are very happy with the job and have recommended Ypoxi to everyone in the neighborhood as they all stopped to ask about it after seeing the trucks.
I'd highly recommend Ypoxi to anyone. -
I can’t say enough about Ypoxi!
In 2017, we moved into a 50 year old house with cast iron sewer pipes under the slab. We new at some point the pipes would need to be replaced, but we were woefully unprepared when that time finally came.
The p-trap in our shower failed and after several visits from several different plumbing companies, we were faced with the overwhelming cost of replacing our cast iron sewer pipes by digging trenches in our home. This also meant our family would need to leave the house for two weeks while the repairs were made.We would also need to repair all the collateral damage caused by the trenching process; new tile floors, shower repair/remodel, bath tub & tile repair/remodel …floor boards, carpet, drywall, paint, removing bathroom vanities, etc, etc, etc. The initial rough estimates were $30K+ and our insurance company refused to cover any of it because the failing pipes caused no damage to our home.
After two weeks of gathering quotes from various plumbing companies (and not sleeping or eating much because of stress), I reached out to Ypoxi to learn more about pipe re-lining. I’m so glad we did!!!
First, the sales consultant Jeff Kaplan was great. He explained the entire process in an easy-to-understand way and eliminated any doubts we had. We learned this re-lining process requires NO trenching inside the home AND we would NOT have to leave the home during the repair AND it was about HALF the cost of the traditional trench & replace process.
Jeff also explained the process would only take a few days vs potentially two+ weeks. The process includes cleaning and lining the cast iron vent stacks and the main sewer line (including the toilets). Best of all, he explained the product has a 25 year warranty.
Needless to say we were extremely relieved and excited to get started, but still a bit cautiously optimistic. The whole thing seemed too good to be true.
Jeff scheduled us for the very next week, and on Monday, the crew showed up bright and early, driving all the way from Tampa to Jacksonville. Richie and I walked the property so he could make a plan. He quickly explained what they would be doing for the next few days. First, they would thoroughly clean out the existing pipes and remove all the scale & debris. Then they would thoroughly dry the pipes using blowers, and then apply the epoxy.
The entire crew (Richie, Carlos, Allen and Luke) were great. Very respectful & professional, extremely positive attitudes, and a pleasure to interact with.
They showed up every day ON TIME. Richie would arrive at 7:30 to setup a work station outside, and they would start work promptly each day at 8AM.
They worked tirelessly each day, up & down ladders, inspecting the lines and running pipe-cleaning equipment, breaking briefly for lunch. Unfortunately, our pipes were extremely bad, (some of the worst the crew had ever seen) and as a result the job took a couple of days longer than they anticipated. Rickie apologized several times for the added time and explained why things were taking longer than expected, but the delays were of no fault of theirs. Our pipes were literally falling apart in spots and needed to be treated more carefully. And despite the added time, Ypoxi honored their original cost estimate. Honestly we could have cared less about the additional time, we were just thrilled the process worked!
At the end of each workday, Richie would explain what had been done that day, and what we could expect the next day. They left the property clean and tidy, cleaning up as they worked, and they made sure we were happy with how things looked before they left every evening.
Overall we had an outstanding customer experience and I cannot recommend this company enough. If you are in need of cast iron pipe replacement CALL THEM. They even provided a video of the finished pipes so we could see what had been done when they were finished.
I can’t say enough about Ypoxi! Five stars!!!
