I highly recommend Steve Folk, Bray Watkins and the entire Foremost team. I hired them because part of my driveway sunk nearly 6 inches at the entrance to the carport. Foremost was able to raise the driveway nearly even, which reduced risk of a blown out tire on our vehicles. Additionally, they installed 13 screwjacks under the house, which was dipping towards the middle and creating a bowl effect. We saw an immediate improvement. Their work and customer service were fantastic!

We had a problem around a pool deck that was poorly completed by the pool contractor and FOREMOST came out, surveyed the condition, gave us a time line and estimate. The work was completed and you can barely tell that they were even there. Their product is superior and half as much as the first most advertised company on the radio that didn't even come out to look at the conditions. Danny Lawson and Company were quick to see the problem and level our deck situation! I would recommend them for any of your foundation concerns!

We had a great experience with Foremost. The sales guy came by and explained the issues we had in detail. He was very professional. The crews who came out to work were on time and left our home looking like it did before they came. Overall this was a great experience.

They are extremely reliable. Which is important as a younger person trying to find a company that won’t take advantage of me. They took the time to explain the process to me, making me feel involved the whole time. Over they are knowledgeable about what they do and extremely kind. Couldn’t ask for better service!!!

Foremost was excellent from the first call through the completion of the job. They are thorough, professional and stand behind their work. I had four companies look at my home and their service, value and professionalism stood out over all of them. I have been very pleased with my experience.

Foremost was amazing! The whole crew constantly keep me update on what was happing during our foundation repair. The crew was so patient with my kids who were really loving the excavator! They did a great job and would recommend them!

Foremost Foundations & Construction just completed a massive 4-week project at ProSource of Jackson. Bray and Steve did a thorough inspection and gave us solid recommendations and options to address our foundation and drainage issues.
Their crew- Jacob, Dawson, Jaydon, and Rysheam were extremely knowledgeable, professional, resourceful, and hard working. They operated their equipment in tight and challenging conditions with precision and unbelievable skill. Their office manager, Jennifer, is friendly, efficient, and responsive. They are excellent team across the board!
Foremost also installed a new drainage system capable of handling the water volume from our new gutters.
I highly recommend Foremost for any foundation or drainage issues you may be having. -
Hughes Construction implemented an impressive foundation project for us. The owner, Tyler Hughes, was completely immersed in our project from the initial phone consultation through the final project implementation. He kept us aware of the tasks at hand as well as the overall progress. Our work, which stemmed from cracks and slow leaks in the basement, involved excavation down to the footer, sealing cracks, and installing drain tile directed at a new sump pump. Tyler and his team were very accommodating and very professional. When additional unforeseeable work was necessary, Tyler handled it very well and was able to help us keep the cost at a minimum. Our yard, which was quite a sight (or site!) during the excavation, was leveled and new grass seed was planted after the work was completed. As it is now January, the new grass hasn't come in yet, but we expect that this spring it will be looking much better! It was such a relief to have our problem solved.

I hired Hughes Construction to repair my back deck that had begun to sink into the ground. Tyler and his team were very professional and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing foundation or construction work.

Hughes Construction recommended structural engineers to come up with a solution for needed foundation work on our home. We were satisfied with the job which was massive and involved jacking up our house. They were on time and courteous and we can rest assured that it was a job well done.

Hughes Construction - recommended without reservation.
We contracted with Hughes Construction to stabilize and waterproof our foundation using plans prepared by a structural engineer. From start to finish the Hughes Construction team communicated with us promptly and clearly. Our questions were always answered in a timely manner. We were advised well in advance of the start date of the preparations we needed to make (like relocating an AC compressor). After work began, we were informed on a regular basis of what to expect next. This was especially important as both of us have been working from home during the pandemic. The crew kept the site as clean and orderly as possible.
As remote workers it was essential that we maintain a high-speed Internet connection. However, due to the configuration of our yard and the location of our fiber optics cable line it was simply not possible for the existing cable line to remain intact during construction. Our broadband provider came out and, with Hughes’ cooperation, a temporary aboveground cable line was extended across our yard, down the driveway, and into the other side of our house. This was the situation for number of weeks. Even though this arrangement made our front yard somewhat of a maze and more difficult to negotiate, during that time Hughes Construction was emphatic about clearly marking the location of the line and took great pains to make certain that the line remained intact.
We are confident that the job was completed in a workmanlike and professional manner in conformity with the engineering plans. After all, it was no mystery to us what had transpired as Tyler often walked the property with us, taking great pains to demonstrate his team’s progress. As with all construction jobs, once matters concluded there was the inevitable punchlist which Hughes Construction resolved without hesitation.
Given that Cincinnati is the “City of Seven Hills” there are a plethora of contractors and service providers making all kinds of claims and offering all kinds of solutions to stabilize and waterproof your home. Do not kid yourself or rely upon hype. Do your due diligence. If you have foundation issues (especially if you are on a hill) there is no substitute for engaging a qualified engineer to draw up plans to remediate your problem. And there is no substitute for engaging a top-flight contractor to execute those plans. Hughes Construction is such a contractor. -
We hired Hughes for a pretty large foundation and concreting project this summer. They were incredibly easy to work with, efficient, and communicative. The work looks fabulous, it was completed in a timely manner, and so far, we are water free in the basement - which is HUGE!! I cannot say enough great things about Tyler and his guys!

I hired Hughes Construction to install steel columns in my basement to support bowed foundation walls. Tyler was very easy to work, knowledgeable, and receptive. I was very happy with the finished product. I would not hesitate to hire them again for other projects.

We recently used Hughes Construction to install metal brackets and bracing for our poured foundation walls. They also performed epoxy injections in the cracks. Tyler and crew were very professional. Workmanship was excellent. Cleanliness was outstanding. The price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we received. We will definiately use them again for any additional structural or concrete work.

A section of our house is built over a crawl space. The footers in that area were built on disturbed soil which allowed them to settle with time. The foundation on that end of the house needed to be stabilized. We chose Hughes Construction to handle the job. Everyone we came in contact with were very professional! They answered all our questions and took the time to explain how the repair would be accomplished. This is a big job, and landscaping around the house is obviously removed. The yard can suffer as well with heavy equipment coming and going. Tyler and his crew did a wonderful job of limiting the damage to the yard and landscaping. We are very pleased with the repair and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

We had a great experience with Tyler and his crew at Hughes Construction. 100 plus year old house on a hill has moved a bit. The basement is tough to get to and there are stairs in every direction getting into and out of the house! They put in 4 pilasters, 2 buttresses, a new adjustable steel column on a new footer, and injected 70 plus feet of foundation cracks. In and out in just over 4 days! These guys were friendly, professional, positive and helpful (they even helped me out with a couple projects I was working on upstairs!)
I will call them again for my next project. -
Hughes Construction Company did excellent foundation, driveway, and downspout work on my home. The crew was very professional and a joy to talk to. The office staff were outstanding and I felt like I always knew what was happening. I highly recommend Hughes Construction!

Initially, we were overwhelmed; however, after multiple recommendations, we contacted Hughes Construction. We're so glad we did. They were professional yet personable, took every effort to respect our home, very clean (even our neighbors commented on that) and kept us informed every step of the way. We would definitely recommend Hughes Construction.

Thank you to Hughes Construction for the wonderful patio, steps, and retaining wall in my back yard. Very pleased with how everything looks. Tyler and his crew did an amazing job. Would recommend Hughes Construction without hesitation.

I had a very frustrating experience with this company. I had foundation issues in my home I bought this past January, so I reached out to Hughes Construction to see about them working on my project for me.
After initial contact they said they required a structural engineer to draw out plans prior to beginning work. So they recommended Cole Engineering. I used Cole engineering and was charged $2,500 for the plans to repair the foundation.
Once I had the plans, emailed them to Hughes Construction, and tried coordinating follow on construction. Tami Ludwig reached out and said they weren’t able to assist me.
I’m out $2,500 and was able to help out their friends engineering company with business while Hughes left me high and dry.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! -
I hired Hughes Construction to install 3 concrete piers and steel angles due to settlement on the left side and my front wall was bowing. I first hired a structural engineer and Tyler followed the engineers plan to a T. It took me nearly 4 months to decide what contractor I wanted to go with because of them telling me they didn't like my engineer or didn't agree with the "fix". Tyler explained to me that he was confident the engineers design would fix my house. It was a very overwhelming process but I chose Hughes Construction because I felt that Tyler was the most thorough with his assessment and took the time to put my concerns at ease. I had them do a couple extra things as well like new windows in the basement and a new walkout door. Even the neighbors were commenting how well of a job they did. I have 5 dogs and they put up construction fencing so that I could still use my backyard for them which was nice. The fact that the owner is on site and working each day is very impressive. I would recommend them for any foundation repair.
