Outstanding. One of the basement/foundation walls had started to lean in and the corners of the wall were cracked. Hughes required a structural engineer look at the project first. I wasn’t happy about the cost for that but am very glad I did it. The cost for the engineer and the repair was substantially less than the price quoted by others. Bracing was added and the cracks filled. I waited before writing this as it has been a dry summer and I wanted to wait for it to rain. I am happy to report, after a considerable amount of rain, my basement is dry! After and before photos attached. Tyler explained everything in detail and left the basement cleaner than when he entered. Very happy customer and will definitely call with any future needs.

I contacted Hughes Construction last year to begin the process of fixing foundation and drainage issues in my home. As a person with a lot of questions - administrator, Tami, was wonderful. She consistently and thoroughly answered all of my questions... and made it very clear from our first communications that the Hughes team was scheduled out for quite some time. I appreciated the honesty and decided to continue working with them despite the wait AND I am so happy I did. Hughes Construction does require consulting from an engineer, but they offer a wide range of engineers to choose from and at the end of the day... give consumers peace of mind knowing that they are doing their due diligence to properly repair damages. When it was time to begin scheduling our project, both Tami and Chelsea were incredibly helpful. As it turns out, I was getting ready to have a baby right around the time the team was to be available for our project! However, they were able to be a bit flexible and move our project start date around to help accommodate our new arrival. Tyler and his crew were efficient, respectful, and certainly put in the work! After excavating, a few other issues were noted and corrected - the engineer we worked with was also consulted, AGAIN... just to ensure the proper repair was being made. I would be more than happy to recommend Hughes Construction to anyone needing repairs or to work with them again. After the rains we've had the last several weeks, my dry basement and I sincerely thank Hughes Construction. Wonderful company!!

Had been experiencing issues with the foundation and with our drive drain getting overwhelmed and flooding our basement. Had an engineering firm come out they drew up plans for 42 piers, took it to Tyler who said he felt it was overkill and provided the contact for a second opinion. The second opinion said its a water management problem not a foundation problem, Tyler saved me tens of thousands of dollars. Replaced the drain, replaced all the downspouts and routed the water to the storm drain. I can not recommend Hughes construction enough.

Tyler and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. This is the second home I have had foundation issues and after having them fix the issues at the first house, I had no question who I wanted to fix the issues at my current home. The work is solid, and they left the area clean. I am very happy and Hughes Construction will be my only call for foundation work in the future.

We had a great experience with Hughes Construction. We had, what seemed to us, to be a very big project of foundation repair when we contacted them. They came out, looked over the work that needed done and gave us a date they would be able to get started on. They got started on time, and from beginning to end the entire crew as well as the office staff was focused and professional. They had come highly recommended and they did not let us down. This was an outstanding experience from a very professional company.

They were great. Very professional, responsible. On time with no surprises. I would highly recommend. The work was high quality; they coordinated with third parties and permitting office - all without a hitch. The contract price was the final price. The process was seamless - always quick to respond with answers and updates.

Highly recommend Hughes. Had a structural issue with my home where the builder cut a corner and did not position an I-beam correctly which led to a steel post to sag. A structural engineering firm produced plans and instructions which Hughes followed exactly. Hughes visited the site before estimate and worked directly with the engineering firm. Price was reasonable. Work was timely performed and the crew cleaned up daily and at the final removal of equipment.

After consulting with two other contractors, I hired Hughes Construction Company to repair the foundation of my home built in 1896.
Tyler and his team were professional, prompt, and completed the job on the date promised. The noise and mess were minimal, and they tidied up the best they could for an old, unfinished basement.
The office manager, Tyrell, was a gem. She eased my anxieties, answered all of my questions, and followed up throughout the job to make sure that everything was going smoothly.
I would highly recommend Hughes to anyone needing work done on their home, new and old.

This was a great experience! I contacted Hughes Construction early in the summer for the purposes of replacing a sewer culvert and driveway at my Anderson Township home. From the beginning to the end, I was impressed with the professionalism and delivery of both the office staff (Tami) and the entire crew working in the field. It was clear they were all on the same page and each were focused on completing my project with as little interruption to me as possible. They started on time and finished on time. The workmanship was excellent and they cleaned up the area as they went along. This was a very complicated project which was executed perfectly. Thanks for an outstanding experience!

July 2025 - Hughes came through for us again! We needed 1. our driveway re-done from asphalt to concrete, 2. have the driveway's entry moved from the opposite side of our yard to directly out from the garage, 3. add a parking pad, 4. drainage added to carry the water away from the garage, under the pad and into the backyard, and 5. a rotting front porch replaced with concrete.

Our property's front yard has a negative grade, so water naturally flows towards our home. But all the concrete work was graded to carry water away from the house, and directly to a commercial-grade steel grate drain that can more than handle the intense rains.

Tyler & his team were able to execute our vision better than we had hoped for, and at a very reasonable cost considering the scope of the work. They are hardworking, precise, engaging, and will communicate with you throughout the entire project.
Any questions I had were quickly answered by Tyrell in the office, or directly by the owner, Tyler, when he arrived onsite.

I can't say enough good things about Hughes Construction and their quality of work.

Feb 2024 - Hughes Construction is the best. They installed new drainage for 6 downspouts, combining them to 2 discharge pipes at opposite ends of my backyard. And 6 helical piers for a new deck, with one of the helical's having an extended concrete cap where the deck meets a screened-in porch so I could also add a new post under the porch where the previous footing was failing.
Working with Tyrell was great, and she was always quick to respond to my questions. And Tyler was out here every day to make sure I understood and was satisfied with the work being done.
I also liked how they require an engineering plan before agreeing to any kind of structural work. It's an added cost, but worth the piece of mind knowing their work is being done to an engineer's requirements.

Hughes did a fantastic job on our foundation project - adding helical piers and correcting water drainage for an existing addition to our house. Consistent and detailed communication, no surprises on pricing, professional and friendly crew, and high-quality work. We’ll be back for future projects!

Hughes did a fantastic job for us on helical piers for a new Sunspace Sunroom on the back of a home on the East side of Cincinnati. Working with the office to get the correct product and with the installers was a very good experience. Would definitely hire again.

Tyler helped us resolve an erosion issue by installing a commercial drain and underground drainage pipe. He and his team were wonderful to work with. They engineered a permanent solution at a reasonable cost, knocked the project out quickly, and did a great job of cleaning up the job site when complete. I'm happy we chose to work with them, and would highly recommend!

Had a great experience with Hughes to help assess water in my basement and remedy. They recommended having a structural engineer come out. They had great referrals and implemented the changes quickly and at a reasonable price. Tyler was great! No pressure at all, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Office was great as well. Would 100% recommend and work with them again. No water in my basement since!

Been with the company for about a year always parked where I felt safe NO issues..Then we were ordered given a map and directed where to park Which was 4 1/2 blocks away from the job site I get off work and my truck is BROKEN INTO Since we were directed where to park by the company I felt the company was responsible For taking care of the damages and reimbursing me for my deductible they said ITS NOT THEIR FAULT NOTHING THEY CAN DO. so after venting and letting them know how I felt..MY FOLLOWING PAY CHECK COMES UP 20 HOURS SHORT
