Don't get other estimates. Just call A1 garage doors & openers. They had the best price on openers. They were on time with quality work. The larger companies cost hundreds more.

Bobby showed up in less than 30 minutes after I called, and finished the job less than an hour after that. Replaced both torsion springs, and the rollers. Very happy with the service level.

I needed 2 doors installed and I called A1. John came over and gave me several options on doors. I didn't feel pressured on what to buy. John gave me several options to fit my budget. He sent Bobby over an hour later and he installed my doors. I am really happy with the work he did and my garage looks great. John and Bobby were really professional and respectful. The garage opener drive belt snapped - after 23 years - and I called A1, which had installed the opener in 2002. The call was made around 1 PM, and A1's tech (Bobby) was at the house before 3 PM. He went to work and I had a pair of brand new openers before 6 PM. John was friendly and helpful on the phone, Bobby was a true pro who dove into the job and gave me a very helpful tutorial on the nuts and bolts of the new openers, including setting codes and using remotes and the WiFi functions. He left the garage cleaner than it was when he arrived. I'd use A1 Garage Doors and Openers again in a heartbeat - good people doing good work at a good price.

I like doing business with A1 Garage Doors and Openers because they are responsive, honest, and affordable. I had a problem with the cables on my garage door which caused the door to close unevenly. Also, I was interested in replacing my old garage door opener. I was looking for someone who was knowledgeable, experienced in the field, and fair-priced. Within an hour of requesting an estimate, Bobby came over and took the time to explain, in detail, the problem and my options. He was very thorough. He fixed the cables on the garage door and installed a new (quieter) opener. I am very pleased with the quality of the service and recommend A1 to anyone in need of garage door and/or opener repair or replacement services.

Bobby was amazing. Our garage door was unable to open for several years. John and Bobby came over, got it open, and explained the repairs needed. We now have a functioning door and new remote,all at a very reasonable price.

Bobby was great! We had an issue with the garage door randomly not closing that was driving us nuts. A1 came out an hour after I called. Bobby discovered the issue immediately, fixed it and made some other adjustments. Works like a charm! We'll be replacing our door soon and will be using A1 for sure! Excellent and fast service!

I had a new garage door opener and springs installed by Bobby from A1. He listened to me and presented me with options without any sales pressure. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He went above and beyond with some smaller items. He did an excellent clean-up job. I didn't think I could get a new door the same day, but the whole job was complete 4 1/2 hours after I first called them.

Bobby came out to evaluate the door and the door unit is really old. He was able to give an estimate and takecare of the replacement of the chain with a reasonable price. He was courteous and did the job quickly within the hour he gave. I really appreciate his service and how he communicated everything that was accomplished. He did an excellent job. I would recommend him to anyone who needs this service to ask for Bobby. MANY THANK YOU TO HIM!!!

Bobby at A1 Garage Company was absolutely fantastic! He showed up quickly, was incredibly kind and courteous, and got right to work fixing the broken spring on my double garage door. Not only did he handle the repair efficiently, but he also went above and beyond by oiling both garage doors and fixing a seal issue—all at no extra charge. It’s rare to find service this thorough and professional these days. I highly recommend Bobby and A1 Garage Company to anyone needing garage door repairs. Five stars all the way!

Due to trouble with and the age of my garage door opener, it was recommended by a family member to get a new one. I was also referred by that same person to A1, as she hired them a few months prior. We are both baffled by our completely different experiences with the company.

When I called, I was told by Bobby he could be to my house pretty quickly, and to text him my address. An hour after I called him, he called me to say he had to get gas, but would be to my home in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, he finally showed up. He spent about 15 minutes looking at my opener and talking with me, leaving his motor running the entire time. We agreed he would text me the next day with the estimate, and that he’d be out the morning after that to install the new garage door opener. Before texting me the estimate, he told me to text someone named John (Coworker? Manager?) and tell him what Bobby himself said I should get. I have no idea why he told me to text this other guy, and he didn’t do it himself. John ended up getting confused and at one point texted me, thinking he was texting Bobby, asking where he is and saying he needed to talk to him.

Toward the evening, after I asked them both earlier in the day for the estimate, John texted me a photo of what he wrote up. He did say I got a discount due to being referred, but my relative who referred me told me they were overcharging me, which I could see by the price of the same garage door opener online. Nonetheless, I told them okay, and I was told by Bobby that he would be at my home between 10am and noon the following day.

The next day, at 10:04am, Bobby texted to say he was in the next city over (about 15 minutes away), and that he had to stop at McDonald’s to grab something to eat before it’s not breakfast time (his words), and then he’d be on his way. At 11:11am, over an hour later, I asked him what his ETA was. He immediately replied, saying he was in my city, but had to pull over and he was on the phone, and that he couldn’t call me, but he’d be at my home within 20 minutes. I’m not sure why he apparently couldn’t text me to tell me he got hung up, but he was able to do so as soon as I asked for his ETA. He arrived 15 minutes later and told me to give him an hour to get it done. Minutes later, he knocked on my door and told me he had to leave because a woman (another customer?) was trapped in her garage, and that John was farther away. I hope that doesn’t happen to me!

Bobby returned an hour later and got to work. Two and a half hours later, he told me he was finishing up. I asked him if he could waive the service charge fee from when he initially came out two days prior, due to the inconvenience he caused me with showing up late, only telling me once I asked, and then leaving almost immediately after arriving to do the job. He told me he’d have to check with John, and he claimed he did, but that John said no. Bobby told me again that he had to help a woman, and I brought up about him showing up much later than he said when he first texted me about how far away he was and that he’d be to my home soon. He then looked at me as if he was confused by my saying that, and told me he was only 10 minutes late. Our texts show timestamps, so he was clearly wrong and/or lying.

He still needed to fill out the top of the invoice with my contact information. Despite me texting him my full name and address when he asked me to in our first phone call, he asked me what my first name was!!!!! I was shocked he didn’t even know my name. I then spelled out my first name, last name, and address, and then corrected him when he still spelled it incorrectly. (By the way, most of his texts to me had a combination of misspelled words, a lack of punctuation, and sometimes sentences that made it seem he was maybe using voice to text.)

Once he left, I cleaned up some of the bulb that he broke that had been in my previous opener, along with some other trash. From start to end, it was a bad experience.

Make sure you select A1garage doors and openers since “A1” is used by other companies.
I have to say that John and Bobby remind me of the good old days when a persons word meant everything! That’s my kind of business and I would strongly recommend having them come out to see how they can help!

I called them a couple weeks back and John answers and sends Bobby out that day. He went over the different manufactures and styles. I went with the Amarr heritage. He gave me the best price and I didn’t even tell him I was shopping. We made the deal and as soon as my doors were in he installed them right away. He also saved me money with the openers. Bobby did a fantastic job and went above and beyond to make sure my job was correct and looked like it was a million dollar garage. I’m vary happy I chose these guys not only for the price but for the workmanship. You never get that work for the price. Bobby knows his craft. You should look no further than these guys!!

IDC did a great job .
Called because my garage door wouldn’t go up all the way , the lady on the phone determined a spring was broken , I checked and she was right ! They had someone out in 2 hours for a temp fix and I was in business an hour later . 3 days later they called and the new springs were in , set up a time that week and the repairman came an hour early and in an hour everything was like new .
IDC made it easy !
