Third experience: Drew showed up right on time and replaced my garage door and tracks. He was thorough and detail oriented, correcting the pitch of the horizontal portion of the track, installing weather seals around the door, and installing the weather strip at the bottom, where he corrected for small variations in the concrete floor. It looks so good, and what phenomenal work! Thank you for all you do!

Second experience: my garage door was destroyed by a truck in the wrong gear. A1 immediately responded with a tech to assess damage & measure for replacement. He got his boss on the line to negotiate a contract, collect a deposit & schedule work within 3 business days. They were incredibly helpful and very reasonable. What an excellent customer-oriented business!

First experience, about a month earlier: scheduling and communication with A1 Garage Door Service went very well. Their admin was courteous, caring, and set up an appointment in the same week. They sent a picture and bio of their technician in advance, confirmed the appointment, and kept me informed of his arrival window. Their tech did an in-depth inspection, provided solid, common sense advice on what should be fixed or replaced on my aging, non-working system. He identified parts that were aging, fully functional but could still be used. This was handled in a professional, educational way, not pushing sales. He had what he needed on the truck, replaced parts and completed service. He left me impressed with his thoroughness & competence, and with a smoothly operating garage door system. I couldn't be happier, and recommend this company highly!

Damian and A1Garage. First the company. I had a serious garage emergency, where it will not open, manual or electronically. They got a tech there by noon. Damian Gonzalez arrives at noon. He Analyzed the problem and identified the issues with our garage. He explained in detail and made sure I understood what was being explained. Damian was well trained for recognizing my problem. He gave me my options for the cost for the repairs. I new what my cost would be prior for him starting the work. I as the customer appreciates that, no surprises. Overall my satisfaction with the company and especially with Damian Gonzalez work, was something these days does not happen.

I bought a 1955 house a couple of years ago and have been remodeling since I arrived. The garage doors had to be completely replaced. A1 Garage Door Service provided outstanding customer service and quality to this project. In particular, I am very pleased with the work of the technician, Drew, who represents the best in the industry. He was very respectful, courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping make this project a great addition to the home. If only all technicians, repairmen, and contractors were as professional as Drew! From start to finish, the entire process was to notch! The quality of the doors, including the motors and all associated components offer me the peace of mind and assurance needed for such an important part of the home. I highly recommend A1 Garage Door Service!

When my previous opener stopped functioning, I was uncertain about where to turn for help. A1 pooped up and the reviews looked good so I decided to give them a call. I’m happy I did. Jason provided outstanding service by promptly identifying the issue and installing the necessary parts during his initial visit. I greatly appreciated his fairness in presenting cost-effective options that worked within my budget, as well as his efficiency in completing the repair without requiring multiple appointments. The attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to resolve the problem on the first attempt exemplify the highest standard of customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend A1 and will certainly rely on them for any future needs.

Valpack users be aware! The coupon that shows a 29.99 tune up special is not the price they will charge you for service. There is also a, legally shown in small text but intentionally obscured and hidden, 60 dollar fee to come to your house to provide the service.

The representatives who did come to my home were also incredibly abrasive, dismissive and rude. Told me it was a waste of my money to do a tune up as my door was so old it should just be replaced. I did not ask for any information on it but their repeated pushy attempts at me to replace were only stopped when I had become openly agitated. They then called their boss as a scare tactic to attempt to have me replace the door. The boss did not sound remotely invested either way.

Also, I made my appointment via their online chat bot service where I told information there was important to the inspection that was not logged or able to be referenced by the employee. I had taken screenshots of the chat fearing that this would happen and was sadly proven correct.

Would recommend any other service other than this rude and clearly predatory business and their practice. They sprayed a lube on a few gears and then spent the rest of their time switching between upselling me or shaming me assuming I would be unprepared.

Happy to provide more information for those invested but overall I could not recommend this company less.

I scheduled a $29 tuneup with A1 Garage Doors, not expecting to need more than that. Isaak arrived on time and was very personable and efficient. He found that the person who had replaced my door springs about 10 years ago had installed the incorrect type of springs for my door. Isaak showed me how the door was causing too much downward force and explained why in a way that made sense. I had him install the correct springs. I also had the bottom weather strip replaced since it was dry and cracked. Overall, I was pleased and impressed with Isaak’s willingness to explain everything he was doing and his customer service skills. I would use them again and recommend to friends. Good job, Isaak.

Had a great experience with A1! Our garage door was struggling to open, so I booked an appointment online. Damian came out and did a full inspection, discovering that our old springs couldn't handle the door's load anymore. He gave us a reasonable quote for the replacement and even caught a few other minor issues before they became big problems. Damian was incredibly knowledgeable and taught me a lot about the importance of routine maintenance. I’ll definitely be calling A1 for all our future needs.

Isaak and Henry were great. They diagnosed the issue with my old system and gave me plenty of options for a replacement that will last. While I know other options exist that might be less expensive, I appreciate that A1 had all the stuff they needed to replace my system this afternoon and they stayed to help me set up my car remote and the app!

They came out the day after we called. The repair guy was so nice. Him and my mom talked about everything which she enjoyed so much. He repaired the spring, oiled the other spring cleaned the whole line and got it back to working. Then still stayed and talked with my mom. She said he was a very nice guy.

Overhead Door was able to accommodate my schedule for repairs of my opener. After diagnosing the problem and presenting several options they were able to replace the opener with my choice. The technician was on time and had the job done in one hour including reprogramming two cars and the remote.

Outstanding service. The technician was very prompt, cordial and knowledgeable about what repairs were needed.

Tech showed up to my house on time. Communication from the tech was he needed to go get a part from the shop and would be right back. 2 hours later tech still hadn’t come back to our house. Reached out to him only to be told they pulled his service van into the shop to do an inspection on it. Melissa the service manager very unprofessional did not want to hear or deal with the problem basically saying he shouldn’t even have come back that they should have rescheduled to come out later with the part. What company has a tech come to do a job and then pulls them in for a service mid shift when they are going to get a part? Melissa said they can’t do inspection on trucks after hours this was done because the guy was there. Tech left our house at around 930am it’s now 1pm and he is finally back to finish the job. Well never use this company again!!

We have Overhead for overhead 25 years. Even though they have moved office out of Hickory NC I have had to deal with them over the phone twice this month over 2 different problems they have given me great service. I had no problem getting them on the phone and to the right person. Two different people. And. They were nice and helpful.

Personnel were polite, efficient and capable. My old garage door has a renewed life and when it finally gives up, I will only call Overhead and they will do a great job! They proved this to me by the work they have done for me! The technician was knowledgable, helpful, and careful with his work! Thank you Overhead!

Angelo did a Great Job fixing my garage door the other phony crooked company wanted to replace the whole door.. be careful that you get ODG NOT the other phony ones!
