Title: Price Gouging Alert! IMO

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Overhead Door Garage Company. They quoted me over $1,000 for a repair that I researched thoroughly, and found should only cost between $400 and $600. It was astounding that they thought I would accept such an outrageous price.

To add insult to injury, the technician suggested that he could call his boss to potentially get me a better deal, which clearly indicates that he knew he was overcharging. They also charged me to even come out and diagnose the problem, which is appalling as well. He was trying to "fast talk" me and I knew it and of course, I didn't blink. That whole interaction reaked of price gouging, and I suspect they may do this to many customers. It felt as if they were banking on the assumption that I would agree simply because I am a woman, but I am well-informed and take the time to do my research before allowing anyone to work on my home. I ultimately had the work done and it was less than half of what OGD quoted.

I hope this review helps others avoid being taken advantage of like I almost was. Be cautious and do your homework before engaging with this company. Overhead Garage Door Co.

We had Keith come out, D&D specialist. Let me tell you. He was friendly, kind and very knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciate him coming out fixing our garage to get back working as it should. Never knew using the garage as much, we did as if it's our front door didn't know it would cause it to no longer respond properly. Well after not using it for 4 months, we thought it was time to call a professional.

I have used D&D garage doors on several occasions. They have always exceeded my expectations. They have helped me install warehouse size doors like 16 feet wide and 14 feet tall. Added motors and remote operation. Their team from Sales to Installers have never let me down. I highly recommend this company. Always a good feeling when you can depend on good and consistent service. Took me a while to find a Garage Door company that met my expectations after several false attempts.

Joshua was great to work with.
The office however did not give him correct information on the door size so I had to reschedule in order for him to get the correct part.
Joshua explained everything to me regarding the repair and the work was done quickly. No complaints.

I wish I could give a -100%. After 13 years being a customer: Horrible customer service experience. D& D came to home on a Friday told me I had to purchase a new motor to solve the issue and less than a week later the same issue occurred. It was never the motor and when I asked about the unnecessary $465 spent operation manager Henry bullied and retaliated against me once I advised I’m filing a complaint. I’ve never been more humiliated, disrespected, and taking advantage of.

Henry actually told the tech to leave the job incomplete as a means of retaliation because I said “you are rude for no reason! I will file a complaint.”

Came out and adjusted our garage doors, as they were very noisy. Technician was great.

D & D was very responsive in regard to our garage door opener malfunctioning. They scheduled us quickly and replaced our unit to get us up and running again. I appreciate their commitment to service.

Awesome job , Tech came out and did a great job , garage door opener was so quiet after he installed the new one. Completed the install so fast, I had to check it going up and down , the Tech was very professional. Recommend D&D six stars. 👍

It had been 15 years since the company installed my garage door. My car was stuck inside for the weekend, could not get anyone out here till Monday. Actually, The person arrived over an hour earlier than I was expecting him. he had it fixed in a short time. Working great I highly recommend them. Thanks.

I was having problems with my garage door. I called D & D Garage Doors I was scheduled an appt for the next day. The technician was very friendly and courteous right off the bat. He seen what the problem was and took care of it. He also gave me a few pointers about my door which was very helpful. The technician Donald Conner has excellent customer service skills and is very knowledgeable about garage doors.

For some reason my outside remote control did not work to open my garage door.
I have a universal remote so the gentleman had to figure it out but he was very helpful. Very pleasant.

First and foremost These gus are “HONEST!”. Something missing from most garage door companies in my area. After getting ripped off by A1A Overhead Door companies D&D stepped up, fixed my door properly and charged me appropriately for work done. 5 Plus stars for D&D…
