Innovative Mechanical is the BEST! I have used them for years to service our heat/air units and they are extremely responsive and quick to get a service call scheduled. Our downstairs air system stopped working on a Sunday night and I called right when they opened Monday morning to ask for a service call. They immediately put me on the books for that same day and called me when they were on the way to my house! My technician, Ty, was awesome! He arrived, got right down to business and found the issue with my system. He was very communicative about what the problem was, explained the parts and cost clearly and went above and beyond to get my system up and running! Of course I am thrilled that my unit is back up and running and that a repair was possible instead of having to replace a unit, but the main thing I am grateful for is the honesty, skill and overall extraordinary service I received which is rare in today’s world! Innovative (and TY) are in a class of their own!

Initially Innovative replaced two HVAC units for us. We were so pleased with the service that when our hot water heater expired, we had no hesitation in calling them. They recommended and installed a tankless system, which is working great and saving us money!
I can personally attest that Chad, Josh and Craig all know their stuff and are capable of explaining it to the layman. Chad even solved an unrelated issue with our generator while he was here - just to be helpful.

So bad I had to file a lawsuit...

Chad and Innovative Mechanical installed two 5 ton new HVAC units at a cost of $43,000 in April 2024. After 1.5 years and about 20 attempts to get the units working properly, Chad has been unable to get the units functioning properly and they keep shutting down. A lawsuit has been filed against Chad and Innovative Mechanical because he is unwilling to refund the amount paid. I have not had properly functioning air conditioning during two Atlanta summers. The heat is also not working properly, and I have three kids in my house.

A few things you should know:

1. His warranty is worthless. When the contract was signed, he gave me a two-year parts and labor warranty. After a year and a half, he refused to honor the warranty and stated that he won’t return money because the manufacturer will not allow him to return used equipment. He also stated that he can’t absorb the cost.

2. Another company cannot work on the HVAC units. It voids any warranty or any recourse you might have. I haven’t had properly working cooling and heating for a year and a half and there is nothing I can do about it.

3. He, or his company, does not do the actual installation. The installation was contracted out to a third party.

4. The solutions to resolve the issue don’t make sense. Chad told me the solution to get the issue resolved was to put a 10-inch duct into the garage (I clearly don’t need AC in the garage). He was not competent enough to do any testing on the systems to determine what the problem is. Each time he came over there was a new garbage reason why it wasn’t working and what minimal thing could be done to resolve the issue. There is no reason why the units shouldn’t work after 20 attempts to resolve the issue.

5. After the units weren’t functional, the service was terrible. There were multiple times that he just didn’t show up, cancelled or rescheduled for a date far in advance. He would state that his truck was broken, or he had health issues.

Ty and Kevin came out and helped me with issues I was having with my heat pump. They were able to figure out the issue that folks from other companies could not. They were prompt, communicative, and helpful. Highly recommended.

Innovative Mechanical replaced my AC system and did a great job for a reasonable price. For reference, I had 12 different highly rated companies come out to initially quote the project. I received quotes ranging from $10.3K to $17.9K and Innovative Mechanical was one of the least expensive. The owner, Chad, is very friendly and professional. When he first came out to provide a quote, he patiently answered all my questions and didn’t try to upsell me like many of the larger companies did. I went with a Bryant Preferred 2-stage system (identical to Carrier Performance) based on my own research and his recommendation. The house in now noticeably less humid and more comfortable compared to our old 1-stage system. The install team ran into a few issues during the replacement, but Chad was quick to address them and kept an open line of communication. I would highly recommend Innovative Mechanical to anyone who needs to get their AC system replaced.
