Home Builder reviews across the US

We worked with Amy Stevens for less than a month. There were something very posive about her at first. Then we ran into some issues. And we brought it up to her attention. That did not go well. We realized that she wasn't the right fit for us. Then we switched to Nicolle Gardener. She was amazing. We'd definitely would work with her again. Thank you, Nicolle.

I have lived in Arden Hills for almost 2 years come this May. For the most part I love my home and the neighborhood. I am very disappointed in the lack of pride in the craftsmanship that was done. All of the baseboards have a ton of nail holes. I was told my the warranty people to fill it with paint. LOL!! What a professional solution! The carpet put in has tacks sticking up all over that we have to go around with a hammer and flatten them. And do not get me started on that he nail pops that continue to pop out. The trim around the door frame bowing out. Now we have a bump lifting in our kitchen floor. We reach out and hear, oh well your year is up! To bad! D.R. Horton is so worried about building houses at lighting speed that the workmanship falls short in a big way. During your walk through bring a contractor, and a magnifying glass
I did submit photos and a response to the email address you provided in your response D. R. Horton. So far, no reply -
Editing to add: We have crooked walls, or uneven baseboards. But either way, it shows the quality of our build. Added pics.
We moved into our Brandl home 5 months ago, I’ll say that again FIVE MONTHS ago, and we have had issues with leaks, flooring, base boards, paint, walls chipping and overall quality. The materials they use to build and finish their homes are very low quality. The way our walls, baseboards, and the caulking look right now is how I’d expect it to look 5 years after moving into a new built home. I was so excited to build a brand new home for my family and I am so incredibly disappointed with the quality of home we ended up with. They do warranty everything BUT because it’s such low quality materials they have to keep coming back to fix the same things. Soon our warranty will end and we will have to repair our entire home because of their quality. They were the more affordable option and the sales women was wonderful, but we regret choosing them for our builder. -
Cut rate builder with no focus on quality - look elsewhere. We built our house in 2021 with Brandl Anderson in a newer development called Emerald Isle in Rosemount MN, and I wish I could say we are happy with the outcome, but we are not. It's clear Brandl Anderson doesn't care about quality. Only that they slap up a house as fast as possible and move onto the next. We've had dozens of issues since we moved in. Things from our main fridge breaking within 2 years and having to be replaced - and the same with our dishwasher. Floor vents located in the wrong place (in front of doors), having to replace several shower heads and cartridges because they failed, issues with our patio door out of alignment, our kitchen cupboards falling apart, water leaking in under the garage doors, our air conditioner running nearly 24/7 and not being able to keep our house cool and many many more things. Some trivial, some not. To their credit, Brandl Anderson resolved many of these. But two issues that have existed before we took ownership of the house have not, and continue to be problems. The first is our "luxury" vinyl plank flooring. In many areas of our main floor it is pulling apart. In others, it's pushing up and heaving. In the main part of our living room it's like walking on a beach. Not one part of the floor is level. I addressed this with Brandl prior to move in and they said that a truss had bowed and they would fix it prior to our closing (which was 3 days out at this time). I come to find that "fixing" it means they just tore up the LVP flooring and laid down some leveler. So not actually resolving the issue. Since that time I've had 10 or so floor repairs to address issues mentioned above about the floor separating and heaving, and have also had more "fixing" in the form of leveling - that has resulted in an uneven and lumpy floor. This is embarrassing for a 3 year old house and is a byproduct of the quality Brandl Anderson builds their houses with. The other main issue I have is a consistent roof leak that Brandl Anderson has attempted to repair, but has now washed their hands of. Almost any time it rains I have a stream of water pouring from the ceiling of my garage in the same spot. I have reached out to Brandl several times regarding this over the past couple of years and they've now resorted to ignoring me entirely. Not what I would call professional, but I suppose you get cut rate service from a cut rate builder. Unfortunately these houses are still $600k plus so the quality certainly doesn't match the price.
Many of my neighbors who have also built with Brandl Anderson have experienced similar issues where their appliances have died right out of the one year warranty, they cannot keep their houses cool in the summer, their roofs have leaked into bedrooms, sewage drain pipes were drilled into during construction and had other issues with the "luxury" vinyl plank flooring. I actually spoke to a flooring company regarding some of the many issues I've had with my LVP flooring and the rep mentioned that this was a very common issue with Brandl Anderson homes and they are constantly performing repairs on the houses. They mentioned that Brandl should reduce the spacing between the trusses to help with this, but they maintain greater tolerances as it's cheaper. So, again, the bare minimum is what they strive for. I don't think there is a single neighbor in my neighborhood that built their home with Brandl Anderson that would now tell you they would do it again if they had the choice. Many of my other neighbors are much happier and have had far fewer problems with other builders in my neighborhood like OneTenTen and Key Land Homes.
If you're looking for a new house in Rosemount or the surrounding areas consider looking at a builder that you'll be happy with for years to come and will stand by their work. Brandl Anderson is unfortunately not that builder. Learn from my mistake, and please look at other builders for the most expensive investment you will make in your lifetime. -
You got great housing for sale , but your videos should show the price on property so us from other states can see more less , what to expect.. thank you be blessed

My husband I and hired Winton and associates to build our forever home. We are both military and decided to retire in El Paso. Technically Santa Teresa,
NM. We paid about $370,000 for our home with roughly $40,000 cash in upgrades. This is the quality of work we have received. We agreed to close on the home do to not wanting to loose my 2.25% interest rate and they in turn agreed to a 30 day contract to fix everything. It has been nearly 5 months and they are difficult to get a hold of and send employees that do shotty work. It's been one of the biggest headaches of my life. And I'm at my wits end. I don't know where to go from here. I feel like the nightmare will never end! Once you do get a hold of someone they make excuses and make promises to fix it, but there's no follow through. I will agree to take this down once they make the needed and promised repairs. But until then, others deserve to know what they might have to go through if they choose this company to build their home. This is just taking 5 mins to snap pics, there is so much more! -
My wife and I had been searching for our first home for months. We saw multiple builders throughout the El Paso area, and we can say with certainty that you can't go wrong with a Rassette Home. You can truly feel that you bought a high-quality home as soon as you walk in. Their customer service is also top-notch, they made the whole experience stress free. I highly recommend this builder to anyone looking for a new home.

We were recommended to Rassette Homes by a co-worker when we started looking for a new home. Building with Rassette Homes was a pleasure and a great experience right from the start and all the way through the completion of the project. We're extremely happy with our new home and how amazing everything went.

We were recommended to RH by a friend. We fell in love with the lot size and the 1650 SQFT floor plan. Shortly after moving in, and I mean shortly. We had our first big problem. We closed 05-18-2018, and by 05-23-2018 we had leak in the Jacuzzi bath we upgraded too. See picture of holes cut into my brand new home. Fixed and we moved on. Then the problems kept and keep on coming! The lighting in the laundry room just quit--(1-2 weeks in) got a new entire fixture, not just the florescent blubs replaced. The pocket/niche lights kept making clicking noises and turning on and off. They came out and replaced the transformers and bulbs. The problem persisted. They came out again and replaced the transformers and decided to look behind the canisters. Once they pulled the canisters out of the niche ceiling, the lighting company that was there showed me what the problem was. They completely insulated the entire surrounding of the canisters. See photo of BURNED insulations. Also, note the warning on the canister that clearly states to not insulate within 3 inches. This was the worst thing that has happened. Our brand new home could have burned down with my pets in it!!!!!! See pictures. There has been MANY MANY more issues. Too many to get into here. So, I will leave it at this. BUYER BEWARE!

We went to Padilla Homes for our first home. We had heard of how well built his homes were and drawn to his product. We wanted to make sure we had a great product that would increase its value. That's what we got!!
We are in the process of going to Padilla Homes for our second home! The process has been so easy and he is building a home to to fit our needs and wants!
