I'll Give the front desk guys 5 stars. But if this place doesn't get their stuff together with answering the phone I'm just going to start shopping somewhere else. God forbid a human answer the phone and provide pricing.

John and Rick two of the best parts guys in the city, we drive out of our way to get better service from here. As busy as this parts house is these guys go out of their way to track down items and special order products.

These guys and gals are spot on, and their network is powerful. In the field you need the backing of a vendor that can provide the quality of service Johnstone offers. They have been my Go To friends and support lifeline, and I enjoy every time I can walk through their doors to help solve my customers problems.

Jim Meyers Plumbing & Heating is the company that thinks this noise in my Mini split is “normal”. See videos and previous post And, their distributor is Johnstone supply.

I rarely complain, but unfortunately, I will have to subject you all to this story to maybe get some resolution.

Jim Meyers and Sons have told me “nothing else we can do.” and are leaving me to contact the manufacturer by myself.

Here’s the whole story -

Installed a Mini Split system with Jim Meyers and Sons and was initially pleased with the timeliness. 3 units on my 2nd floor were installed with condensation pumps from Johnstone Supply HVACR that make noise 4x louder than the manufacturer brochure indicates. I complained 2 weeks after installation and the installer came out to inspect and told me it was “normal”. I thought maybe I just had turned the temperature down too quickly but as the Summer progressed, and the temperature outside went up, the noise also increased so much that I couldn’t sleep with the noise. And, the pumps go off every 10-15 minutes - cascading through 3 bedrooms. Jim Meyers and Sons has not taken responsibility and pawns the problem off on “that is the pump my distributor sent”. They Say that no one has EVER complained about the noise. I have videos I posted on FB to get feedback from friends - some of them in this industry - all of them say this is not a normal noise. Jim Meyers and Sons started swapping out the pumps with a smaller pump that is slightly quieter that I had to pay additional money for but will now make a sound every 5 minutes because the reservoir is a portion of the size of the other pump. I told them that can’t be the right solution and they wiped their hands of me - leaving me with 2 huge pumps making super loud noises every 15 minutes and one small pump going off every 5 minutes with holes in my wall from the bigger pump. They are pawning me off to call the distributor myself or to reach out to the manufacturer. I hired them to be experts. This noise is not normal. They are gaslighting me to say it’s my problem and walking away with thousands of dollars while I have a system that isn’t acceptable for residential use.

I have spoken to the distributor, which is Johnstone Supply and their resolution was to charge me for new pumps which also don’t work properly.

Nothing short of spectacular service . AC out onto a holiday. Fixed it would highly recommend .

Pittsburgh Heating & Air Conditioning have a big call center, and they helped me with my problem.

Hytech is the best. Responsive, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I wouldn’t use anyone else for my HVAC needs.

Professional. Came same day to fix A/C. Called me at work when they were able to come, so I didn't have to stay home all day. Taught me about A/C while he worked. Shook my hand, smiled -- things like that go a long way with keeping me as a customer.
