We had 2 wall-mounted Mitsubishi mini-splits and one ceiling-mounted one installed by Valentin Dolzhanskiy of AirMaster Heating and Plumbing t our home in Durham. My wife and I were enormously impressed with every aspect, from timeliness, thoroughness, pricing and follow up. Val and his helper laid a concrete pad, installed the outside condenser and connected all the units. Subsequent to their work, we had two other professionals doing other work in our house, one even did Mitsubishi installations, and they both commented on what good work had been done. Val showed up consistently when he said he would, and he cleaned up perfectly after. He was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that I took advantage of a rebate on these mini-splits. We highly recommend this thoroughly professional installer. If we need any further work, we’d have no problem hiring Val again.

A few days ago I woke up to my tenant calling me to tell me that she had no hot water. I raced down to the basement to find, indeed, my third floor water heater was leaking profusely. Clearly, it was time for replacement.

I had called around for plumbers and everyone was telling me they could only visit in the next couple days.

Perusing on thumbtack, I found Val of Airmaster Heating and Cooling. He was recommended as "exceptional" and could not find a bad thing about him.

Now I know why. He was the first to answer my call for help directly without going through a receptionist. He offered to come the same day after sending me an itemized breakdown (I am sure he cannot always come same day but on this occasion he could, I was lucky) and he brought everything he needed within hours.

He steered me away from a more expensive water heater at my own request. I have worked years in sales so I know what a sign of integrity that is: to guide someone through a world they know little about. How people act in that asymmetry is a sign of character.

He worked efficiently and pointed out some knowledge about what will happen next.

This day of repair could have gone so much worse. Could have been dragged out, could have been upsold and charged more than necessary, could have had additional headaches.

Thanks to Val and his company Airmaster, it was simple.

Our furnace was old and needed to be replaced. The job was done quickly, neatly and looked so much better.

Don’t trust this company. They scammed my small business in charging me two hours labor for a 5 minute job. Costumer service is horrible and they don’t care about helping out your business.

Tried to get our commercial freezer looked at. Wouldn't even give us an estimated date to come out. Said they would call us when they were ready and left us hanging looking for another company to do an emergency repair. We are so sorry we used them in the past and will not do so again in the future. Stay away from this company.

We needed to replace an 18+year old HVAC system. Went out for 3 bids here locally in Wellesley (The L company, the R company, and Mass Mechanical). Not only was the bid from Mass Mech less than the others, he proposed higher end (more energy efficient) Trane units vs. the other bids and they listened to our needs (vs one of the others who tried to sell us a system that was 2x our target budget, even after I explained to them I wasn't interested). Our home has a half basement, so the work was not fun. The team worked hard, was very communicative and friendly, did an outstanding job, and worked with us to have the system operating the way we wanted. Couldn't be more satisfied and highly recommend them.

Mass Mechanical installed our original system, then an upgrade 20+ years later and did a great job! Last night, we lost heat - I emailed them sometime after 6pm. At 6am this morning, I rec'd an email from Rick saying someone would be there this morning - the technician called at 7:30am to tell us he was on his way and would be here by 8am - and then fixed our system. I wish every contractor was this professional, responsive, and performed the level of quality work!

Mass Mechanical installed our Trane whole house air conditioning unit around 30 years ago. With yearly maintenance, our unit is still going. A testament to the maintenance crew and for the recommendation and installation of a system that would last over time. We chose them because they had the best plan for cooling the whole house.

Connor did an outstanding job repairing our AC unit. From the moment he arrived, he demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and attention to detail. Another contractor had already told us that the entire unit needed to be replaced, which would have been a significant expense. Connor took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem and, thanks to his expertise and meticulous approach, was able to repair the unit instead of replacing it.
He clearly explained the issue, answered all of my questions, and worked carefully to ensure everything was functioning properly before he left. It's rare to find a technician who is both highly skilled and genuinely committed to finding the best solution for the customer. Connor saved us a substantial amount of money and restored our confidence that honest, knowledgeable professionals are still out there.

Our oil fired boiler in our seasonal home would not fire up when we got to the house on Friday afternoon. I set up a service call for Monday morning to do a cleaning and service. The Tech. arrived on time. He looked things over and said he had to run to a different town to pick up parts. He returned and got us running in short order. I was very happy but when questioned the tech said he did not disassemble and clean the flue pipe and flue passages and could not perform an efficiency test because his combustion analyzer was broken. I appreciate them coming and getting us running but if you want competent oil burner service company, call a company that sells oil and has a service department.

Connor did a great job! Actually it was fabulous. He was always on time and very personable. Meticulous! My Mitzus have saved my life during some hot summer days. They work great....even though there’s just something about this house. Oh, and my dad approves!

Connor installed our new garage heat. He has gone above and beyond. Our heat made a weird noise and we think Connor was more concerned than we were. He came three days in a row just to fix the mystery squeak! Job left clean.
