My contractor had Coutts do the HVAC portion of my remodel and they were so easy to work with that I've continued to use them for first an issue with my air conditioner and then later on 2 separate issues with my furnace. All 3 times they had someone at my house within hours of my request, handled my issues promptly, and I felt that the costs were appropriate and reasonable. My boyfriends family has also been using Coutts for years and only had positive things to say! They are super friendly and amazing to work with.

We had our heating and air maintenance guy out for furnace service and found that unfortunately, our best option was to probably replace the furnace (it had lasted 32 years so happy for that). James Heating does maintenance but does not install new systems, he recommended Coutts. I was in touch with Steve Coutts the same day. He came out a couple of days later, gave us a quote, we signed off and two days after that, the new furnace and indoor component for the central air was installed and operating. They'll be back in spring to install the AC compressor outside, saving us six months on the warranty.
Really nice, knowledgeable and professional, a pleasure to have help us out. -
I’d like to quote what Steve said to me today: “our customers are not just numbers to us we really do care about them”!
That sums it up because Steve and Kyle took very good care of us. They installed the new air conditioner today after the old one finally Died after 20 years of taking care of cooling our house.
I’d like to mention that Saturday in 2025 it looks like air conditioners are gonna go up at least 30% if not more. On top of that with the complexity of the control panels having to monitor a slightly flammable refrigerant as a 40 year veteran of electronics and computers I would imagine that is not going to be a low cost repair when things go wrong with the newer units.
I would recommend getting one purchased and installed before 2025. Especially if your unit is older Mine started having issues five years ago and finally died at 20 years old.
If nothing else I highly recommend you have them take a look at your unit to see how long it might last. For most businesses that they would always say by anyone but I can tell you from personal experience with Steve he will be very ethical.
I’d like to publicly thank Steve and Kyle for their excellent customer service, demeanor, professionalism, knowledge, and advice on how best to use the air conditioner so it lasts a long time.
I wish Coutts Heating and cooling much success! -
After the great price and excellent service I received I think people should know. I texted Zach at 5:00 p.m. the evening my furnace quit working. Zach was on my porch 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Our furnace was 31 years old We made the decision to replace it instead of trying to fixing it. Zach went back to the shop pick me up space heaters dropped them at our house so we would have heat that night. The next morning they were on my front porch with a new furnace. 3 hours later they were back out the door everything was good and installed. Thank you very much for your help with this problem and the great job.

Save yourself time, money and frustration by not using this company. They do not disclose their fees and charge you a service call plus travel time from their location and back (without disclosure until you get the bill). I spent 2 months trying to get clarification and explained their lack of non-disclosure verbally and on their website to only be told they’d look into it and get back to me. Each time I had to call them back.

For anyone reading this post, I am doing you a favor - DO NOT CONTACT OR WORK WITH THIS BUSINESS!!! You will regret it, I promise you!!!
In short, their customer service is awful and untimely! They are liars, rip you off and a complete waste of your time! They will NEVER get my business and I will make sure I notify everyone of my experience!!
Below are the full details for your reference:
My A/C broke on June 13th. Ron Albiero technician, Rick, came out the next day to identify our fan broke and it would cost approximately $700 to fix. Rick recommended we replace our A/C as the coolant will be obsolete as of next year. Then, he suggested we should also replace our furnace since it's older - we would save money in the long run, if we replaced both at the same time. We said we would think about it and requested quotes to replace both. He took some measurements, wrote down the model / serial numbers and said the office would contact me. The total amount of time he was at my house was no more than 25 minutes.
I called Ron Albiero office 2 business days later asking for the status of the quote. They only quoted me for the A/C. I asked them to please give me a quote for both. They said they would call me back the next day. I didn't hear from them until June 24th (5 business days later). By then, I had 3 other HVAC businesses comes out and give me a FREE visit and proposal. I had an appointment for June 28th to get my new A/C and Furance installed by Schneiss Heating & Air Conditioning.
Yesterday, 8/8, I recieved an invoice for $240.43 from Ron Albiero. Breakdown is below:
1. Service call - $39.00 @ 1 quantity
2. Service 1 - $109/hr @ 1.75 quantity (Line item total was $190.75)
3. Sales Tax - $10.68
Balance due: $240.43
I was very confused as I was previously informed I would not get charged for the service. I called Ron Alberio office to better understand why I was getting this outrageous bill.
First, the person I was spoke to tried to tell me that if I went with them to replace my A/C, the service fee would have been waived. No one informed me this.
Second, he said the full round trip, to leave their office --> time at my house --> back to their office, was 1 hour and 45 minutes. They charged me $109/hr for the entire time the technician was "on the job". It was impossible that the full round trip job was 1 hour and 45 minutes! Here is why....
The technician called my cell phone at 3:26 PM communicating he was on his way and left my house before 4:11 PM (I looked back at my call history to verify the times as I called my step-dad after he pulled out of the driveway to get his thoughts/ advance). Google maps shows the shortest route from their office to my house is 10 minutes, and longest route is 14 minutes. If you add 14 mins. + 25 mins. +14 mins = 53 minutes!!! Less than an hour!!! Why did I get charge for 1 hour and 45 minutes or even charged at all since the technician didn't do ANY service but just tell me it was broken?!?!
Of course, I was not given a reasonable explanation. It was repeated, over and over again, that it's not unheard of that the time to drive to and from the office and the process/time it takes to diagnosis the problem and take measurements is about 1 hour and 45 minutes of work.
Finally, I asked if there was anything they could do as I do not agree with the charges. I even suggested paying for the $39.00 Service Call and 1 hour of labor @ $109.00 - Total of $148.00. They would not compromise at all! It was as if they didn't want to work with me in hopes I would consider them for future business... it was very disappointing and frustrating!! -
Of course it was the coldest day. I called because my furnace went out around 7 pm. They sent Andrew (i believe his name was) and he was wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone. Kind and wonderful at putting us at ease AND knew his stuff. Amazing. 1 hour after i called i had heat. And that included him getting to my house. THANK YOU ANDREW.

Our furnace stopped working overnight. We are early risers, and we called at around 4 a.m. and they had someone here shortly afterward. Very professional, they fixed the furnace, and we learned quite a bit, they are very knowledgeable. Wonderful experience.

We recently used Ron Albiero Heating and Air Conditioning for a service call. I think their hourly rate is exorbitant and be very careful...they charge for coming to and from your house to their place of business. After their initial service call, parts needed to be ordered. After over two weeks, I called them asking if they intended to return and install those parts (needless to say, if I had had an invoice after the initial call...4 hours, I would have said no thank you), and lo and behold, when I called they were just about to call me to come back. After another 3 hours and two parts to the tune of $500, I did receive an invoice. After TWO calls to them to understand more about the bill and an opportunity to revisit it and provide an explanation that I felt was better than the one given, they stood by their original bill. After using these guys several times in the past, I will never use them again.

I called because our air conditioning was not working properly. Andrew came within 2 hours. He found that the coil was frozen. He was able to melt the ice and took out huge chunks of ice at least a foot in diameter. He added some Freon that was needed. He also checked out the entire system and found that the humidifier had never been turned on. He showed us what to do and explained how the frozen coil occurred and how to make certain it did not happen again. We felt it was a completely reasonable price for a very thorough evaluation and fix. I am very happy with this company and will continue to use them for this and the other services they offer. I have confidence in them.

Have had a terrible experience with this company. Strongly encourage anyone looking to use them to avoid. They replaced our A/C unit and recommended a 2 stage, 3 ton unit. They were never able to get it to work correctly as a two stage unit so they just had it working as a single stage (when we had paid more money for a 2 stage.) Also the house never cooled correctly (wasn’t able to keep up with what the thermostat was set at.) They came out to visit probably 15 times trying to get the unit to work correctly without success. We ended up going with another company who has subsequently found shoddy work and missing critical elements (eg-it didn’t have a safety shutoff switch to turn the machine off if it was leaking fluid among many other issues.)

Bob came out and explained my air exchanger system and did some troubleshooting for me. Very knowledgeable, gave me all the information I need to make a informed decision. Super guy to talk to and super company to do business with. Thank you Bob!

Update- We received our check back for the $140 “diagnostic fee” we had to pay the individual who they sent with a letter apologizing that they didn’t meet our expectations. So they did the right thing and didn’t charge us, which deserves recognition.
Incredibly disappointed. We have a failed valve and a leaking gauge in our boiler, which I was clear with the dispatcher about when I called. The tech they sent out tried to convince my wife that he fixed everything by putting new batteries in the thermostat on a completely different floor and zone in the house, and that the only reason the heat was not getting better upstairs was that “it could take up to 24 hours”.. When my wife called him on the incorrect assessment, he said it was the pump (which ot is not) and the gauge (that is legit) and the Honeywell thermostat. Besides 2 of those 3 things being wrong, the total cost of parts for all is less than 500 and total labor for me to DIY that repair would be about 1 hour. Quoted “about $8000”. Steer clear of this place. -
Fantastic service on a very cold day. Our heater stopped working on a Saturday and we thought we might be dealing with it all weekend, but Stephen arrived early evening and was able to fix the problem. We ended up signing up for ongoing maintenance.

Furnace out on Friday January 16th around 530 p.m...coldest night of the year..Professional point of contact by Theresa. Stephan the technician showed up promptly. Addressed the situation and explained all of our options. Got us up and running for the weekend with a part on order for the following week. Shortly after he left we noticed heat wasn't blowing again. Called Theresa back and she had Stephen back to the house in no time. Many trips up and down our basement steps by Stephen and we have heat again. Highly recommend! Very well run company! And we joined their maintenance program ! Thank you Greg Steger Heating and Air !
Sincerely ,
