We had a problem with our boiler, they came out right away and diagnosed the problem. The tech was very nice and helpful and he also explained what was broken and how it happened. He fixed it and had to come out the next day to replace parts he didn't have on the truck. There was no extra charge for coming out again. Their prices were reasonable and would definitely recommend them to anyone, and continue to use them for our heating needs.

Tricounty installed our new heating and cooling system along with air exchanger and airpurifyer and humidifier. Their prices were excellent and the entire process went extremely well and efficiently. The crew were knowledgeable and professional answering all my questions. I would and have recommended them to anyone. Follow up was also excellent.

After recently moving into a new home, I called Tri-County Heating (to schedule a service visit) and reached the company's voicemail on each attempt. Since I was unable to reach a live person, I left a message with my contact information and address, stating that I required replacement of the filters for my furnace, April air, and home air purification systems, and requested a call back. No return call. Approximately a week after leaving the message, my fiancé saw a car in the driveway, and observed a man leaving two packages leaning against the garage in the rain. He did not ring the doorbell, he did not call, he did not leave any indication whatsoever of what he was doing at my home. She later informed me of our visitor, and I went outside to find two wet filters in water-logged corrugate boxes leaning against the outside of my home. ????? I assumed that someone would eventually call to advise me that these were dropped off - and to schedule a service call - as I yet needed two additional filters (preferably dry and not left outside). Nothing. Today I received a bill from Tri-County for the filters that were left unceremoniously in the rain outside my home. What the holy heck? I just left the company a message to call me so that we can have a little chat about the definition of customer service, and to explain that I am not interested in paying for wet filters. Tri-County Heating receives a resounding two thumbs down from me due to this first (and last) experience with the company.

I’ve used TriCounty repeatedly, first for repairs to my old furnace, then to replace it, and finally for a ductless air source heat pump to provide air conditioning as well as backup heating. They have always been fast, economical, and great to deal with. I’ve had major issues with prices charged by other Door County hvac companies both in my business and my home, so I will stay with TriCounty from now on.

Tri County installed a dehumidifier in our basement. They worked efficiently and did a great job with the duct work and drain line. Even though I'm going to replace our flooring, they insisted on placing runners down to protect the carpet. They also took the time to fully explain the operation of the unit and required maintenance.

Precision refrigeration installed a beer cooler for us in a gas station! All piping was ran neat and clean! Service was prompt! I strongly recommend, for service and new install!

The service was good by the technician that came, however, the customer service, not so much. I got service on Feb, 1 and was told I'd receive a call BEFORE my card was ran. My card was finally processed today, the 16th! However, I did not receive a call, which caused my account to incur an overdraft fee. This was inconvenient and ended up costing me more money. The woman I spoke to, didn't sound sincere, but was apologetic. I basically was just shut down with, "we apologize." Well, that won't bring the money back for the fee will it? Not sure if i will use this company in the future. Customer service is lacking!

Hillestad installed a mini-split heat/cool system in my house. I'm very pleased with how quiet and effective it is. The installers were very courteous, taking care to protect furniture and flooring during their work, cleaning up after themselves, and explaining what they did. They also showed me how to use all the bells and whistles on the system after it was started up. I'd definitely work with them again.

Dennis and Cindy are such a great team!! Anytime we call them they are more than willing to help us solve the problem over the phone first to see if it's a simple fix or squeezing us in at the end of the day if necessary. Dennis is so professional and friendly. He graciously does the work while my toddler insists on being right there by him supervising. We will continue to call Thompson Heating & Cooling anytime we have issues with our furnace/ac unit. Quality work!!

The knowledge and experience they provided from the very beginning from quoting the HVAC system for our new home, walking us through all of the equipment options and suggestions right up to the installation of all of the equipment.

Their knowledge of the proper equipment needed to take advantage of the Electric Co-Op Utility's Dual Fuel Program was amazing.
They worked hand in hand with our builder, electrician, propane supplier, and electric utility.

These folks are great - They always make time to squeeze you in when you have an issue, even if it's after normal hours. Our heat went out on Christmas night and they came out on the 26th which is the same day I had called.

Further, they didn't demand payment up front and instead said they'd just send the bill once they confirm any warranty coverage. Very nice to see local folks taking care of the community first rather than only being concerned with money.

I highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

This company is one of the good ones! We have used them a number of times and of course it’s always an emergency (or it feels like one anyways) and they have been accommodating, honest and helpful! Will use them again and always recommend them to others confidently.

Thompson Heating and Cooling is consistently going above and beyond to help with any HVAC needs one might have without price gouging. They just installed my new AC unit and its amazing! Highly recommend them!!

Amazing people!! I made the mistake of calling another company first that quoted me 1200$ to replace multiple parts in my boiler. Thomson sent out there guy and he ended up fixing all the issues without having to buy any new parts!!! This company is just honest and hard working which is really hard to find now days. Extremely thankful to have found them.
