Called about a sputtering gas fireplace and Advanced Chimney Cleaning was amazing. From setting up the appointment to completing the job they were professional and knowledgeable the entire process. Eric and his assistant were prompt, thorough, clean and respectful of my home. After cleaning and inspecting my unit Eric was honest in saying that he could not find a problem to fix and that it was likely that it just needed a cleaning and didn’t try to charge me for extras that weren’t needed. My fireplace works perfectly now and I would absolutely call Eric and his team again.

Eric did a fantastic job. He was able to diagnose and repair a problem where our gas fireplace would not light. He was also able to show us how to remove and clean the glass from a see through fireplace. Will definitely have him do annual maintenance in the future.

I would highly recommend Advanced Chimney Cleaning to anyone who has fireplace issues. Eric was professional and detailed in his assessment of the issues I was having with two of my fireplaces. Eric protected his surrounding work area as if it was own home. I was shocked by the detailed report Eric had done on his iPad and went over each item, while referencing sections from the Owners Manual. You do not often find service professionals who take such pride in their work. Although the issues to my fireplace was caused by the installer before we owned the home, Eric made sure to identify issues that could have caused extensive damage to our home and our safety. Eric provided me a detailed estimate for the work needing done and I’ll be sure to schedule that work with Advanced Chimney Cleaning.

We recently had a incident with a “chimney fire” and needed someone to check it out ASAP. Even though Eric was booked out for a month, he went out of his way to squeeze us in early, which we truly appreciated.

Eric is hands down the best! He’s super detailed and takes his time to do the job right—no shortcuts at all. During the inspection, he took tons of pictures, explained everything clearly, and made sure we fully understood what was going on with our chimney. He also gave us thoughtful recommendations, breaking it down into must-dos and nice-to-dos.

What stood out the most was how honest and straightforward Eric was. There was no sneaky upselling or pushing unnecessary work—it’s clear he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in his work.

Fantastic people! Shelby is extremely nice, sets expectations very well, and communicates clearly. She went above and beyond helping us with finding another contractor for a totally different project. Eric is also really nice and clearly outlines what's going on. Yes, you may have to wait for an appointment but I assure you, it is worth the wait!

Eric from Advanced Chimney Cleaning did a great job! He had to special order a part which he measured perfectly for a seamless installation. He was not only on time, but was able to come before the scheduled appointment. His work was fast, efficient and very professional. Need to call him back for my dryer vent! Highly recommend!

Eric and Shelby were wonderful to work with! Shelby called me back quickly and got me on the schedule. I felt very comfortable asking her questions. Eric came out to do an inspection and cleaning for me. He was early for my appointment, very thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions. I won't be using anyone but these guys in the future!

They did a burner conversion from log to glass in addition to a chimney inspection and chaise replacement. Very professional and thorough. They took pictures of everything which made it easier to know what was going on. Took measures to keep our house clean. I would definitely work with them again.

My wife and i purchased a home a year ago with a woodburning fireplace. These, as you know, are "illegal" to put into homes today in California... tradition, art, and character are lost in todays society of mass production and instant gratification. I often times refer to lightposts, but fireplaces also fall within this realm of discussion. Theyre traditional, theyre forms of art, and they provide an extensive amount of character and warmth (double entendre) into a home. I believe in preserving art and things that provide character. This is all the foundations of a culture... we knew nothing about fireplaces other than we wanted to preserve it. Eric Crankshaw is generationally trained. Tradition and character are not only things that describe his work, but his ethic. I can not recommend this gentleman and his company enough. He guarantees his work, and will do whatever it takes to satisfy you. As with times of character and honor in the past, he is his own worst critic and will be the last person satisfied ensuring a job well done. We see him once a year now for cleaning, but the refusbishing he and his team did is a marvel to behold. Its truly a shame we cant use the fireplace year round. There is no better company to trust with the soul of the home. Cheers!
