Garden Heating and Cooling are experts. We use them for emergencies and routine maintenance for heating and AC. We recently had a problem with our air conditioner, they responded the same day located the problem, and it was fixed in no time. Always courteous, thorough and very professional. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I appreciate the service I have always received from Garden Heating and Cooling. Today's service was excellent. I was asked if there was an entrance they could use without coming into the house. They explained what they were doing. When the vent cleaning was done they cam to the front door so we could settle our bill. Once the State of IL is back in service we will have the rest of the ducts cleaned. Thanks for taking great care of us.

He was thorough with his inspection of my furnace and answered all my questions. Tom did a great job. Very professional and knowledgeable. Cared a lot about what he was doing and explained a lot of things to me. I would highly recommend him and definitely would like to have him back to my house if I have any more needs.

Adam was awesome! He was so professional and helpful and explained everything to me in repairing our oven. He got my oven working again quickly. He was so helpful and highly recommend him.

Griffin, Steve, Cassies & Joe did a wonderful job. I am so glad that Griffin found the furnace problem and that Steve came the same day to give me my options. He also set up furnace replacement for the very next day so I had 1 day without heat. Cassie and Joe worked hard that day to replace the furnace and air conditioner. They were courteous and respectful and also concerned about me.

Jake was great but I submitted a request for bids on upgrades to my system, not for service, and was not told I would be charged $90 for a service call. If their business model is charging for quotes on work that’s fine but they need clearly communicate that because it’s not the norm.

Very friendly staff. Everyone was attentive. We had a weird issue with our refrigerator. Our tech Colin did a great job trouble shooting and making sure we were comfortable with the possible cost and the results. We signed up for maintenance for our HVAC because we were having trouble booking with another company. Hoffman scheduled us and completed the maintenance within a week. Very pleased so far.

We cannot say enough about Hoffman Brothers. We've used them for plumbing, electricity, and, this time, HVAC. Our heater went out in the middle of the extreme cold snap. We called late in the afternoon, and had someone out first thing the next morning. Ben was absolutely fantastic. He was SO nice and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained it to us, and needed a part to fix it. With deliveries delayed due to the snowstorm, the closest part was 45+ minutes away. He apologized, smiled, and went on his way, returning later to take care of everything. We can't say enough great things about Ben!!

Austin is a thorough knowledgeable and skilled professional. He is very customer oriented and went out of the way to explain what is wrong with the appliances and what the recommendation to fix it. I would highly recommend him.

I received a replacement for a burnt out garbage disposal. The replacement unit was ISE Badger 5 Garbage Disposal 1/2 HP approximately 115$. The total replacement cost 673$ and was 1.5 hours from time of arrival. Adequate work, punctual, professional. Only complaint is every time I do the math, I would like to want to call Hoffman again but would probably be better off on Angie’s list or shopping some quotes if I had the time. In a pinch they got you but it will cost you 😆

I called their office about the quote prior to the review here and was told that’s the going rate essentially. That’s fine - but people should be aware that the quote 673$ adjusted for a 100$ service fee and 115$ parts still leaves me at a 300/hour rate effectively for putting in a garbage disposal that was pre wired and pre plumbed for the existing unit. If that’s the going rate I suppose that’s the going rate but if I had the time I would shop elsewhere in this case for my tenant I was in a hurry. That being said overcharging for simple services doesn’t end up with return clients unless they are in a true emergency. Work was good but was it 300/hr essentially good?

Hoffman Bros replaced my 40 gallon gas Tanked Water Heater when the old one failed to light. The only initial contact was with AI bots that were difficult to work thru. Vastly prefer a human to talk to. First contact was late on Wednesday. No appointment till Friday afternoon. The responding plumber was Josiah Sheffer who was Competent, Knowledgeable, Easy to Converse With, and proposed intelligent ways to upgrade and clean up the overall installation of the water heater. As actual licensed plumbers Hoffman and Josiah completely replumbed the water lines, installed a new expansion tank, cleaned up and replumbed the gas supply lines, and strapped the new tank to the concrete foundation. The result, not completed until the following Monday afternoon, is a vast improvement over the plumbing and installation of the old water heater. I would give Josiah five stars and request him for any future work. I am giving Hoffman 4 stars because the AI contact and scheduling system is difficult and never gave me a chance to converse about what service I wanted beyond that it was a 40 gallon tanked gas water heater replacement. The delay of 5 days before getting hot water back may only reflect that they are very busy, but it was not a plus. Working with a competent person when Josiah arrived - Priceless.

First time using Hoffman Brothers and the customer service was outstanding. John and Tom were respectful, professional and friendly during the installation process. They were patient with my questions and educational. Both spoke highly of the company as well.

My hot water heater went out, so I called Hoffmann Brothers because they had fabulous ratings. They had quick availability on appointment dates. Brandon came out and was able to install a new hot water heater the same day. He was very informative and upfront with all the issues with our hot water heater. I am very happy with the service provided and I will be using them again in the future.
