Burton is a great guy, and his work is even better! His attention to detail is impeccable! To cap it all, he is a super nice guy!

Burton has done two jobs for me recently . He put a new water pressure regulator in my house and he fixed my shower when We had trouble getting hot water due to a mixing valve that was wearing out. He has done a lot of jobs for me in the past and his work is till up to the usual high quality.

I have done business with Burton for many years. Major projects were remodeling my bathroom and kitchen. The work was always done to my complete satisfaction. The last time Burton was out to my house was when a water filtration system he had installed 10 years ago began to leak. He quickly diagnosed the problem and got it fixed. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said nothing. I pointed out that the system had been in there a long time and was well past the manufacturer's warranty. He still refused any payment and said that he stands behind his work. Very high quality work and very honest. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

We had Burton's scheduled to do kitchen and bath cabinet fronts for us originally. We then added: putting in a sliding glass shower door, a spigot and drain for a new free-standing tub, and capping a gas line.
Burton and his guys Doug, Dean and Chris, are professional craftsmen. Their work was top-notch. They also showed up when scheduled, and are all genuinely personable. The cabinets look SO much nicer now. Attention to detail is evident in the fit and finish.
They will likely not be your cheapest option, but the work done was at a fair price for the outcome. We would absolutely use them again.

From start to finish Dereck and his team were all hands on deck. In a matter of months, they had our plans drawn up, approved and built! He converted our three car garage shell into a beautiful 4 bedroom home. This was our first time doing a custom home build and Derek was so easy and accommodating to work with. Even after our home was completed he has always been available to assist or help answer any questions or concerns.

We used Derek Sammons for a backyard Accessory Dwelling build and we cannot recommend him enough. We worked closely with DSC during the entire process. From a complete demolition of our garage to creating a layout that worked with us, all while being honest and aware of our budget. It was great to get updates from Derek throughout the process as well. The ADU turned out even better than expected, we would absolutely recommend Derek to everyone!

Almost a full year, from concept to finished project, and it was all so worth it! It was a very collaborative process, and I'm so happy with my new space. It was especially great to know I was helping support so many small businesses, and families. Derek and all the subs were like extended family.

Nothing but good things to share about Derek Sammons Construction. My wife and I originally met with him to discuss a ADU build on the back of our property. Derek was on time, professional, and used state of the art software to create renderings of the vision with video animation. Once we gave the go ahead, Derek handled all of the permitting and construction process and communicated often where we were at in the build. The end result was nothing short of amazing. The quality craftsmanship and close attention to detail were evident everywhere you look. Derek takes pride in his work and I would highly recommend him anytime!

Doing an extensive remodel, which we just completed is a very personal thing!!
Some builders want you to make every decision before the first day of work commences, which is completely unrealistic and impossible to do. These builders will throw costly change orders at you for the most insignificant thing which doesn't even alter the cost of the change.
When one tears their house apart to create a new one, you are bound to make changes. Most of those changes are an easy fix that don't affect extra labor, materials, additional equipment rentals and don't affect the builders timeline!!
Of course entire design changes are justified to cost extra, that's a given.
Derek Sammons of DSC took extreme care and time to go over every detail and aspect of the entire process, from planning to demo. and then construction.
Derek transformed our original house which was outdated and poorly built into a gem of a house we can now call home!!
Before every major step forward, he was clear and precise that if we wanted to do anything different, no matter how slight, now was the time to do it at no extra cost.
We can't praise Derek's professionalism enough!!!
We finished under budget rather than over which is most often the case, and most of all ahead of schedule by a month. Derek is a joy to work with, in addition to being extremely talented and knowledgeable in all aspects of construction from tee to green and he is a genuinely nice person. He is now a member of our extended family!
All in all we would highly recommend Derek and DSC
to friends, family and complete strangers.

Derek guided us through a full interior remodel of our 1974, very dated, home. He was amazingly professional, and had great design suggestions. 100% recommend him for any construction project!!

Derek did a great job on our 900 square foot studio/shop project which included a full bath. The building also featured a 300 square foot storage loft with pull down ladder. This project took place during the middle of the pandemic and there were supply/material/employee issues beyond anyones control. Derek handled the issues smoothly and kept the project on time and on budget. Derek is also a very creative problem solver and had several ideas that enhanced the finished building. I highly recommend Sammons Construction.

Plus he's not afraid of heights!

Derek and his team were amazing to work with. We did not have prior experience working with a contractor, and worried about cost, timeliness and communication. We called a few contractors and many of them were hesitant to even come out and talk to us about our project. Derek was the opposite. He spent about a month working with us, and providing concept designs. It was a little like working with a designer from HGTV. We told him our budget up front and he was able to help us get as much as we could for the money we had. He even connected us with a landscaper for future plans. The thing that really sets Derek apart though is his communication. He didn't project any defensiveness, and worked alongside us when we were concerned about the project. He said repeatedly, "I want to make sure I get your dream right." And he did. We WILL work with Derek again, and I would highly recommend him to anyone else.
