I attempted to clean out a main drain line myself. But the snake I rented wasn’t up to the job. I called Dave and he gave me a quote over the phone, was out as scheduled, took care of the job quickly efficiently and for what he said it would cost. He’s very personable and knowledgeable and will explain what he’s doing. He even looked over the rest of the plumbing in the house for free and his work was guaranteed for 60 days. I would use him again definitely.

Dave saved the day! Responded very quickly to our kitchen sink clogged drain over the holiday. Very thorough and helpful with unplugging and recommending how to keep clean. Great service at a reasonable price. Will use again (if needed).

We call Dave any time we need any plumbing done. He has helped us with everything from clogged drains to installing plumbing for a bathroom remodel. He has always been incredibly fair and easy to work with--would absolutely recommend him and his team!

Dave just replaced a pair of 19 year old leaking water heaters. His response time is excellent, he walked me through the entire replacement process, he used much better equipment than what is selling at the big box stores and his quote, which he stuck to, was half that of the other two large plumbing contractors that bid the job. He was also insistent on bringing my system up to code and educating me as to the reasons why. No reason to mess with bids in the future, I am confident Dave will do the best job.

We had an outdoor water leak of unknown origin. We had a sprinkler guy and another plumber out before Dave. We wanted a second opinion but didn't want to wait.

Dave answered his phone right away and was out within an hour (all competitors were at least 5 hours out). He quickly diagnosed the problem and told us what would need to happen.

We had to dig out our yard to get to the leak. Dave helped us find someone to do it (at a reasonable cost), and came right out after the pipe was accessible. On a Saturday! He showed us what was wrong, and replaced what was needed same day.

The price was very reasonable. Dave and his guy were funny, fast, and trustworthy. Excellent response time and good work. Will absolutely use him again.

Twice this year, the response from Dave's has been expeditious and thorough. I was very fortunate, that on two separate dates, they cleared two clogged drains, backing up into living areas, within an hour of my call for their help. Dave came out on Christmas morning!! Our shower would not turn off without turning off water to our whole house. We couldn't have breakfast or start our Christmas meal. As new homeowners, my husband and I are rookies when it comes to plumbing and all the fun projects that come with an older home. We got our washer and dryer installed but there was a leak and other issues that arose. We found Dave and he was able to come out to the house on the same day that we needed him. I just did a partial remodel of my kitchen and replaced the counter tops sink and faucet. I got a couple of bids from the the Big Box Truck plumbing companies in Boise which had me thinking about going to plumbing school myself to save on the high cost of services in Boise. Then I called Dave and my worries were taken care of. Not only were his prices more than one half less than the other plumbing companies but Dave was willing to work on my schedule to get the job done, including coming on Saturday to do the work. When my countertop installation was delayed, Dave assured me that he would be available to install the new faucet and reinstall the plumbing within a day of the countertops going in. He even offered to do it the day the counter tops were put in by working my project into his schedule. He did an excellent job and even went beyond my expectations when he leveled the dishwasher and installed a garbage disposal when he discovered the old one was leaking and needed to be replaced. Dave did outstanding work, was on-time, neat, clean and stuck to the original estimate for services. I did pay a very reasonable cost for the garbage disposal, but it was fair price and less than it would have cost to pick one up at any of the home improvement stores. I like Dave and the service he provided far exceeded my expectations. He did quality work at more than fair prices and worked with me to get the water back on to my kitchen in the quickest time possible. I would recommend Dave to anyone looking for a plumber and will use him for any future plumbing needs. Dave is now my go to guy for any plumbing work I need done. You should call him if you need a plumber.

I have dealt with numerous plumbers in Boise, and none were near as honest, knowledgeable, and able to fix a variety of plumbing issues so quickly and affordable. I am so happy to have found him and will continue to use him and refer him to friends and family. Dave replaced a water heater under my house, fixed a toilet and replaced a sink, all over the holidays, quickly and efficiently. Three years after the review below, I called Dave again for another drain unclog. Again, he's the best in the business here in Boise and does a great job for less than 1/3 of his competitors. Dave knows what he is doing and cares about his customers. He is a completely different company than those that demand $50 to show up at your door just to tell you how much you need to bend over to use their services, while they empty your wallet. Dave is a gem and I hope he stays in business at least until I move away from this California annex.

This company is one of those wonderful (almost gone) American institutions. A small owner operator business. These guys did a great job unplugging my main drain. They did a very professional job and at a very reasonable price. It's a great thing to find a good competent person in charge of the company doing the work himself. You don't have to pay for large management (slacker) salaries like you do for the big name companies. I'd recommend these guys any day! Thanks!

"Fun" is not the first word most people probably think of when it comes to situations necessitating a plumber, but the professionalism, candor, and just general niceness of the Dave's Drain Service crew made my dishwasher's dysfunction as enjoyable an experience as it could possibly be. And they’re funny! Of course, this happened on a Saturday; Dave was out when he said he'd be, knew the issue right away, and didn't charge me for his visit because he needed to obtain a part. He and his colleague returned on Monday, when they said they would, made short work of the problem, charged me fairly for fixing it, and were on their way in well under an hour. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dave's Service went above and beyond expectations. His response time was quick, his work exemplary and well priced. I will use Dave for all my plumbing needs and refer him to everyone who asks. It refreshing to have honest service that didn't cost a fortune. Cant say enough good things about Dave and his service.
