Wonderful family-owned business. We had a very good experience from beginning to end, including booking the appointment and asking questions. Our problem was quickly and expertly fixed and they were very considerate to everyone involved. Highly recommend.

Great work from the team from top to bottom on my sewer clean out install. Office was professional, friendly, quick and efficient. The install crew did a very solid job with minimal mess. They provided a DVD demonstrating my entire sewer line which was really re-assuring. Equally important the work was the most cost effective amongst the competition. I would recommend this company first.

I will be the first to admit that I might be juuuuust a little picky when it comes to choosing the right contractor for the job, so it's VERY high praise when I say that Russ and his sons knocked my socks off on the real big four day job they recently completed at my home. A rarity in the day and age, they don't cut corners, and they REALLY know what they're doing--I didn't feel for a moment like "Hmm, I might need to keep an eye on these guys." These guys are the rare plumbing contractor capable of the complex, heavy duty residential work that others can't do.

I had several "highly recommended companies" quote a complex new overhead sewer conversion + a basement bathroom rough-in for my 1950s home. Most couldn't handle the scale of the job, and the others had no clue how to do the job. Russ instantly knew how he'd spec the job, what potential pitfalls or change orders could crop up, and how the village would like to see the work done. There was a little bit of a delay (okay...9 months) between having RPS out for the initial estimate and me being ready to begin the work (permits, plans, time), but Russ's still picked up the phone, dealt with my delays, honored their estimate without missing a beat and fit me into their busy schedule.

When it came down to project kickoff, Mike and Johnny absolutely killed it. They outlined the scope of the project, let me know exactly what they would be doing, how they would do it, how long it would take and how they would solve any potential problems that could crop up.

From cutting way too many linear feet of concrete slab, to excavation, to coming up with creative venting solutions, to coordinating the concrete delivery and inspections, Mike and Johnny took a big, messy, pain in the a** job and turned it into some creative and impressive finished work. They're all SUPER nice people to boot, and I instantly felt comfortable enough to let them in the house in the mornings to do the job while I went in to work. Angela in the office was quick to field any and all questions I had, and there were a lot--thanks for putting up with me :)

Can't say enough about the great job they did. I would (and will) hire Russ's again.

Best plumbing company in the area. We bought a fixer upper home 10 months ago and have worked with several plumbers. Russ and his crew surpasses them all. They just finished our overhead sewage conversion because our plumbing was disintegrating under our home. It was a big project since we have 3 full baths, a half bath, 7 sinks, and 2 laundry tubs.This company was highly professional and worked hard even through the rain to get it done in a timely manner. So glad we had them do the job. We will be using the again.

They did a great job with our sewer repair. It was in a tight area next to our house and fence, and the excavation was very careful and disrupted as little as possible. They were prompt, knowledgeable and friendly and I would definitely use them again.

Russ & his crew replaced our old home's lead water service line. They couldn't have been more thorough, thoughtful, responsive, and detailed. We felt like we were in good hands from day one. Even better: the project took a lot less time than we original thought! We will definitely be calling Russ and his team for any future projects.

We have had to use them twice for different reasons. From the minute you call the lady you speak to is wonderful. We had John do our work. Talk about a guy who is knowledgeable and has a great personality. We also thought their work was superior and their prices fair.

Expert resolution of a complex plumbing problem (i.e. leaking copper water pipes within our home's concrete slab). It soon became obvious to us that the only viable repair method was to reroute the copper water lines. We contacted several plumbers before calling ``Russ's.'' The plumbers we contacted initially either did not want to do the work because it was too complicated, or we got the feeling that they weren't sure how to proceed with the rerouting. Fortunately a neighbor who is a general contractor referred us to Russ's. Within an hour after sending Russ's an email, I received a phone call from Angela who arranged for
one of the plumbers (Mike) to come out and evaluate the repair options available to us. After speaking with Mike both my wife and I had confidence that he knew how to handle the rerouting. We received Russ's written estimate with a few days and felt that the projected repair cost was fair. On the day the work was scheduled, Mike, John and Dan arrived at 7:30 A.M.. During the day, all three men worked diligently and took the time to answer the questions we had. By 4:30 P.M. they had finished the rerouting and cleaned-up the work sites. We were very pleased with the completed work. We highly recommend Russ's Plumbing & Sewer for your plumbing needs. (Also, they were very friendly, family owned company to work with.)

These guys are the best plumbers in the area. We have used them for 17 years after the Lombard public works folks recommended them after we had a sewer issue right after we bought our house. We recently had a furnace repair done, and our HVAC guy saw the Russ’s sticker on our water heater and unprompted pointed to it and said “those guys are great.” 100% accurate from our experience.

If you need professional and friendly service at a fair price, give them a call. We had a cracked pipe in our crawl space and also needed to have our ejector pump replaced. They came out and did a great job!
No pressure. No BS. Just great service!

Mike and his crew were fantastic! They solved my low water pressure, installed the heater I bought, and hauled old one and all garbage away! Paid fair rates, and I will do ALL my future plumbing with only them! I give them 5+ stars!

We have come to depend on Russ's Plumbing & Sewer. They are so dependable and trustworthy, other companies would have a high-bar to hit my satisfaction level. They have helped us with everything from water heater installation to a complete rebuild of our sewer line. Their costs are very acceptable and their work is top notch.

Was told by a friend to use Russ's Plumbing and what a great suggestion. It started with first contact with Angela she made me feel good. I had sewer water in the crawlspace and needed someone ASAP. Along comes Chuck to the rescue on Christmas Eve. Helped a bit with some of the problem but felt we had real issues. In comes Johnny to say I have a broken sewer pipe. Ugh!!!! So by Thursday in comes Mike and Dan and fixed it all. They were all so respectful, professional, and very kind. They let me know all that was going on at all times. I did not get to meet Russ but it is evident this is a highly recommended company that I will always use. Thanks for caring!

We had 4 estimates to get our sewer line repaired. Russ and his crew came in hundreds less than the others. They had permits the next day and the job was complete. They cleaned everything up, too. They are fast and really care about the work they do. I have recommended them to anyone who needs plumbing work done. Big or small jobs, this is the number you want on your fridge.

I had an excellent experience with Russ's . Everyone is extremely nice there, prompt and professional. The technician I had worked very hard with a difficult intricate parts to my tub recessed deep into the wall. He also routed drains, installed a faucet and trouble shooted all my plumbing concerns. He was sincere and honest. His name is Chuck and I highly recommend him and this company. Chuck I could tell took pride in his work and wanted things done right and worked quickly to boot. As a woman I felt comfortable and not taken advantage of . Thanks so much to Chuck, Angela and the team at Russ's . ...a truly outstanding company.

We live in a 1920's bungalow and needed to put in an overhead sewer system. Russ's Plumbing was very professional, helped us understand the problem, the options and the best solution for our situation. They were always on-time, professional, and did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Great company to work with.

We had our lead main water service line replaced running from the street to our house. It was leaking underground and because it is lead, by law it can not be repaired but must be replaced.
Russ explained the whole process that would be involved when he gave us our estimate. It seemed overwhelming at the the time because they would be boring a line from the street under our foundation and up through the basement floor.
When Russ, Mike and Oscar arrived at 7:30 AM they had all the equipment and tools needed to make this project go smoothly. It was quite amazing to watch these men in action, totally first class professionals.
We had our water service connected to our new meter by 2:30 that afternoon. Everything was cleaned up inside and the parkway was restored.
We can't say enough good things about Russ's Plumbing and their office manager Angela who kept us updated on getting this repair and replacement done before the freezing weather hits in a couple of weeks. We had other estimates and Russ came in below them all.
