We used Buchner Plumbing to install new toilets in our home. Everything about the experience was professional and well done.
They were very respectful of our home and cleaned up after the work. They were reasonably prices. We've used Buchner for our heating and a/c, as well. I trust this company and its employees.

Sean was super nice to help us out on a Saturday after a mouse fried our AC and it went out. He had someone scheduled to come out on that following Monday which was so appreciated considering it's summer and was a hot week. And just as important, he was thorough, honest and the price was extremely fair. We would definitely recommend this company to family & friends.

Buchner replaced the furnace and a/c in my house. Workers were on time; they covered all their walk and work areas with tarps; work was completed ahead of expected time frame. The operation of the new thermostat was explained to me.

Everyone from Buchner is Top Notch, Kind, Courteous, Customer centric, professionals. They are very knowledgeable in their industry. The men who came out and installed a new water heater for me did a fantastic. Good men.
Buchner also installed my air conditioning unit 9 years ago and I never had any problems with it at all. Thats why when I needed a new water heater there was no one else to call but Buchner in my mind. They are the best choice and affordable.

Brendan installed a new water heater which was a superb job from start to finish! He was very knowledgeable & professional. He immediately recognized a potentially dangerous flue connection & rebuilt a new, safe connection. He also realigned a poorly installed cold water line away from the furnace. After completion, he thoroughly explained lighting procedure, routine maintenance, & answered all my questions. Highly recommend Buchners!

We recently hired Buchner Heating and A/C to install a new air conditioner. The whole experience from getting a bid to scheduling the installation, to getting questions answered by their office staff afterwards has been outstanding. They’re all polite and professional. We feel very good about selecting them for our purchase and will use them again. We would recommend them to anyone.

My first time experience with Buchner’s Heating and Cooling was extremely impressive! Sean, the Sales Manager, was very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He thoroughly answered all my questions prior to purchase. My installers, Mike and Cory, were prompt, friendly and respectful of my home. Drop cloths were put down to protect my floors. They worked quietly and efficiently. I appreciated their explanations on how to use the equipment and their helpful tips. When the installation was completed, they promptly cleaned up the work area. I’m so glad my friend referred me to Buchner’s! I will definitely use them in the future— beginning with the maintenance program. I highly recommend them!! A-Plus Service!!!!

This company has a group of all stars that did an amazing job, providing us with outstanding service. We have been keeping our 26 yr furnace and AC on life-support for the last six years and lost the battle. Tony and Sean were great to work with helping us get through the high heat this summer until we could schedule our new installation. Sean has great knowledge of the industry and provided many valuable options for us to choose the right equipment, payment options and scheduling. There were many challenges in scheduling, but Sean was very accommodating and very quick to respond with answers to any of our questions. Then the morning of the install our hot water tank went out. Mike and Cody tried to troubleshoot the hot water tank, but our 12 year-old tank needed replacement. They provided excellent communication and knowledge pertaining to the hot water tank, furnace, and AC. Sean quickly rushed out the hot water tank to our house so that all components would be installed in one day. Outstanding job! We are very pleased with their services. I highly recommend Buchner heating air and plumbing.

We had a new boiler system put in.From start to finish it was terrific!They were prompt,informative,professional,clean…Truly can’t thank them enough for restoring our faith in reliable companies.We will never use anyone else.For the record,I am hard to please and I am beyond satisfied.

Had a great experience with Buchner! My AC unit had been on the fritz for a while and they came out multiple times to try and keep it chugging along for me and I eventually decided to have an entire new furnace and AC installed through them. The service was quick and professional and the techs were very informative, considerate of the fact that I was working from home and the noise that would be made during the installation and helpful throughout the entire process. Cheers to you all and thank you again for the excellent help!

He came in checked out the furnace cleaned the item that checks the start of the furnace.
He was polite and completed the repair while explaining what he was doing.

Reece was a very professional, and highly competent technician. Very courteous. Explained work performed in great detail.

Really shady scam operating out of Aurora, IL area. Called them asking them to send a tech for furnace tuneup and who is qualified to install a T10+ thermostat kit to furnace, AC, and humidifier. It wasn't that I couldn't handle it myself, but rather to have Honeywell warranty the unit, a certified tech must install it.

Well, the tech they sent, Brandon, not only wasn't qualified to install the kit, but also had no knowledge of this kit at all. But after looking at the box, said it would cost about $20-$30 to install on top of the $149 furnace tuneup. I agreed saying I can afford the $200 total.

Since I had another contractor working on our 2nd floor, I let Brandon work in the basement on the HVAC equipment. When I came back down to the first floor a couple hours later, I saw the Buchner truck outside still. When I went to the basement, I found Brandon sitting on the floor reading the manual. Mind you, he never said he was charging more than the $200 I approved.

He had apparently been unable to get the humidifier to power on. It seems he had decided to change the humidifier to being powered by the furnace, which is not compliant with Honeywell authorized procedure for that unit. When he had Honeywell support on speakerphone, the specifically told him he couldn't power it from furnace, and to reconnect it to the transformer it was originally on.

After ending the call, he still didn't tell me he was charging me more than $200, so I went back up to the contractor two floors up. Finally, four hours later, I had to go to work. At five hours, he hands my wife an invoice for $900 for the work. But that's not all, he also tells us the humidifier board is dead, even though it had been running with no issue prior to Brandon arriving.

Of course I refuse to pay the $900 invoice and call Buchner. When they have the Service Manager call me, he tells me that Brandon never said it was $20-$30 to install the kit and that Brandon is competent and wouldn't damage the humidifier from working on it. The manager finally agreed to send his other tech, Tony, to diagnose the equipment, no charge only after I inquired.

Tony comes out later in the week with my wife home. He determines that "Brandon did not land one of the humidifier wires correctly and that the equipment is now online. But during conversation with my wife calls her a liar when she says that Brandon never said he was charging us beyond the $200 we agreed to until he handed her the $900 invoice.

About a week later, I get an updated invoice from Buchner in the mail for $181, which I called them to pay immediately. I figured they must have agreed that Brandon had made one or more mistakes, and was doing the right thing. Oh was I wrong!

A couple weeks later, I'm trying to clean up the loose humidistat wires that are supposedly not connected anymore because it is now wirelessly digital instead of wired analog. WRONG! As soon as two wires touched, I see an electrical arc, and my new thermostat goes dark.

I immediately call Buchner, but the answering service says there is a note in their system to not service our address. She tells me to call Monday, which I do. The primary secretary tells me they "discounted" the work they did and there was a note to no longer service our address and I would have to speak to the Service Manager, which I agreed to do. Well, several days, and no call from them to my phone and no call to wife's phone.

So I contact my contractor who is a licensed electrician and plumber, and also fixed a few pre-existing electrical issues in the house already. With his guidance, we identified the problem to be a blown fuse on the furnace board.

So to recap:

● Poor customer service
● Unqualified HVAC Technician
● Attempt to commit fraud (charging customer while they teach themselves how to do their job)
● Attempt to charge nearly 5x the amount they were initially approved for without renewed consent
● Dishonest techs and Service Manager

My family has purchased [4] HVAC Carrier Systems from Buchner Heating & AC over the last two years, and we would do it again, no regrets! Sean over @ Buchner, along with his Installation Team, were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. The product is great, the proposals are spot on and easy to read, and the entire Team is easy to work with. Sean also helped us with a difficult property, that was not a simple system switch. Most folks would not look at the property, shied away after they saw it, or threw a pretty big price tag on it. Not Sean! Not only did he come back when we were ready, his Team Installed a great looking system that will serve us well for years to come.

My air conditioner decided to stop & Buchner’s dispatch a technician quickly, he arrived promptly. Michael was so professional, with impeccable decorum, turns out Michael had been in the AirForce & it showed! Sadly, I had a brand that they really didn’t service but he tried to be of service and gave me brilliant advice! He told me to start by finding the warranty and made sure I had model number, serial number. Above and beyond my expectations!
After he left I tried to search for it everywhere, no luck. By chance I called Buchner’s again for any advice, well it was my lucky day, Terry answered & spent time checking, looking for the warranty, bingo! Eventually I found everything because of her expert guidance, she definitely has superpowers!
Through this experience I understood that this company had not only exemplary service but most importantly kindness and integrity. I’m so grateful, thanks, Ellen.

They always come out quickly, usually the same day I called them. They give you a time estimate for arrival and will call to update if they're running a little late so you know when to expect them. They do good work, every technician I've dealt with has been friendly and is knowledgeable and happy to walk you through what they're doing and how your system works. If you need a replacement part chances are they have it with them in the truck and if not they will find one quickly. Prices are decent for repairs and they're always happy to walk you through maintenance procedures to keep your equipment running nicely. This is the only company I trust to work on hvac at my house and I've never had a bad experience with them, which is a stand out from other companies in the industry. Please don't change, you guys are great :)

We wanted to be a little proactive with our home mechanicals as we were running up to, or even past, the expected life of our furnace, A/C, and water heater. We chose Buchner over any other local HVAC company not just because they were the most competitive, but because they offered a easy, smooth process from sales to install that I don't think could have been matched. Sean was extremely friendly and answered all of our questions regarding the quote and sizing of the equipment for our home, and I like the presentation of our options of equipment which made it really easy for us to compare and choose what best suited us for performance and budget. All we had to do was make a decision, and everything else was completed and scheduled by Buchner, including permits with the city.

The team handling the install was some of the most polite, personable, and knowledgeable people I could have met. Jesse and his team really knocked it out of the park with not only the obvious quality craftsmanship of their work, but their attention to detail, especially with the install of our tankless water heater. It looks like it was a commercial install! Seriously, see for yourself!

I cannot recommend Buchner enough to anyone else needing HVAC and plumbing work!

i should add that Brendan A was my technician. i will request Brendan when i do regular. HVAC work in the fall.

All went very well. My only complaint is that my technician arrived 2 hours early and didn’t call to verify if that was ok. It was fine although I am not always home so a phone call regarding a change in time matters. Please, always call to check with me.
