Today a very nice very young technician showed up to fix my dryer which stopped rotating when the door was opened. The part cost $26. They wanted to charge another $308 in order to complete this task. Or I could sign up for warranty services at $56 per month over $672 per year additional and they would reduce the fee to $187. Instead I paid $119 for them to diagnose the problem. This is a scam operation. Find a local reputable repair service you can trust not one that will rip you off.

My tech kept great communication with me and fixed the pilot in my furnace in less than 10 minutes. He was polite, professional and efficient.

Came a week late and the AC was not evaluated at all
Called again and. Had to wait a full day call several times and the service person left all the cables and tools connected to my Ac . I really hope it doesn’t break !

Actual service part was good. Communications on appt time was pretty bad. There is no way of talking to someone or knowing when the technician would arrive. I had an appt time of 1 to 5 pm. At 4:45 PM I received a text saying the new time would be 7 to 8:30 PM. 5 minutes later, the technician called and was at the service address. More updates are required and it would be nice to be able to actually talk to someone.

I had a repairman today with 26 years of experience with Sears home repair. Francisco is his name and he's fantastic! I wish they all could be that way and I would have given the service a five star review. Thanks Frank. You rock!!

Terrible experience. The only good thing was that the kid showed up at all - which has not always been the case with Sears Repair. He replaced the refrigerator compressor. Then he left without saying a word to either me or my wife, though we were both home at the time. He didn't clean up the kitchen floor and left dirt and debris everywhere. He also left the old compressor and parts sitting on the kitchen floor. It's now almost 24 hours later and neither the refrigerator or the freezer are cold. This will be absolutely the last time we will call Sears Repair for service. My advice - if you can possibly avoid it, DO NOT use these people.

UPDATE - After five visits from Sears Appliance Repair "technicians" my refrigerator still didn't work. They told me I needed to replace the compressor ($628). That didn't work. They told me I needed to replace the evaporator ($320). That didn't work. At that point I called a halt to the nonsense and told them that I wanted my money back. The last technician assured me that he would process my refund request and that I would definitely receive a refund within 7-14 business days. That was six weeks ago. No refund. I just called to ask what was going on. I was told that a refund was never requested. Could it be any worse? Could this company be any more unprofessional or irresponsible? DO NOT under any circumstances get involved with this scam operating under the name of Sears.

UPDATE 2: This nightmare began in mid October. It is now January 3rd and we still have not received a refund. The Sears "technicians" were out here FIVE TIMES and had us purchase more than $900 in parts and were still unable to fix a simple refrigerator. After another frustrating phone call with Sears Home Services today, I was told that our request for refund is "still under review". 10 weeks later. This is nothing but obvious stalling and outright theft. They clearly believe that we will just forget about it and have no intention of refunding our money. My sincere advice to anyone contemplating using Sears Home Services is to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will waste your time and steal your money.

1 star experience from beginning to end. Choose this vendor due to Sears quality reputation. Very disappointing.

    1. Too much upsell pressure just trying to set an appointment. Yes, I know reps are rated on following an upscale script but this needs to be dialed back.
    2. Customer support and Tech were out of sync. Tech insisted the $119.00 service fee could not be waived without a coupon. Customer support said the Rep was wrong. Turns out Tech was wrong and I sent a screen snap from the website as proof. As the client I should not have been subject to that kind of confusion.
    3. Tech was dismissive and short. Waited all day to hear from him. At 4:30 he contacts me and starts in with the be ready to pay $119.00 speak really strong. I I canceled
    4. Called to reschedule. Got the 411 on the service call fee and asked for a different Tech. After being assured I would get someone different the same Tech was assigned
    5. Arrived on time. Still dismissive. No troubleshooting. Told me the part to fix was $800.00. The range didn't cost that much!
    6. Tried another company. Tech says only need part around $150.00.

Will never use this service again. Do not recommend.

Dallas did a great job. However, the website to set up the appointment is well below average. Having no way to speak to a human being is simply a poor way to do service...especially for a company who hangs their hat on the service industry. Please consider the human experience instead of always just trying to save a few bucks. I will not use this service again.

The technician came at 5pm after I’ve been waiting at home all day unprepared without a ladder to access my air conditioning unit on the roof of my condo building. So no service was actually performed. Why would Sears send out a technician without everything they’d need to service their clients? Horrible.

More interested in making the service fee versus doing the actual work never use them again horrible

I wish to document my profoundly negative experience with Sears appliance repair. After six weeks, two service visits, and repeated scheduling changes, my dryer remains unrepaired, leaving me without laundry facilities for two months. The customer service phone system is also dysfunctional. I strongly advise against using Sears for appliance repair unless absolutely no other options are available. This has been an unacceptable experience.

Anthony was great considering the fact that I did not need to have my washing machine repaired somebody really screwed up it is the dishwasher that needs attention. I have been having an issue with the dishwasher. I have made at least 13 calls each one lasting close to an hour! I do hear the same song and dance, "will send an email to the escalation team" or the "replacement team" All calls go off shore they supposedly can not make phone calls out and supposedly they have no managers or supervisors who I can speak to. I had a serviceman Olaf in early April under my Service Protection Agreement (no longer available). Have had this agreement for over 20 years. I was told I needed a new computer part. After a couple of weeks I was told the part was no longer available. I am suppose to receive a new dishwasher according to my agreement. The first service call was April and it is now June and I'm still waiting for a replacement from the replacement team I have called numerous numerous times I also have a case number for whatever good that does the escalation team supposedly has sent off to the replacement team numerous emails I am ready to seek legal action. There are no managers or supervisors to speak to, all calls no matter what phone number you use goes off shore. It is extremely frustrating
The contract I have expires 06/24/24. I did purchase Sears new contract agreement but I'm ready to call Visa and get my $683 back!!!

Shout-out to Juan M - he took care of my dishwasher, fridge, range, washer, and dryer, and clearly explained what issues there were and proper maintenance. He did a great job, and I learned a few things about taking care of my appliances

The technician was good but the communication by Sears and technician was awful. An 8-5 window for service is ridiculous if you know we are the last stop. Sears or the technician need to be in better communication. I was home all day waiting and my first notification said 3:39pm. The technician came after the intial 8-5 window and 3:39 ETA at 5:15pm! The whole day was wasted because of poor communication.

The tech was polite, thorough and efficient.
My only problem was with your website and scheduling apps. They did not function well.

I wouldn't recommend. Tech ordered a part to fix my dishwasher, came back to install it and now the panel is broken (which wasn't the problem to start with). He suggested it would be cheaper to buy a new dishwasher and since you pay upfront, I would be reimbursed for my payment. Impossible to find a person to talk to. A week later, I haven't received a reimbursement and I'm not sure when it expect one. I wouldn't use this company again.

Sears technician Horace He was very nice and personable, making the entire experience enjoyable. His extensive knowledge and helpful suggestions provided valuable information that made a real difference. I truly appreciated his assistance and would highly recommend him to others.

Went above and beyond to fix the problem. Good team work between technician and supervisor on phone.

The technician was great. There was a problem with the Sears AI system; it did not recognize that parts were delivered. It kept rescheduling due to “Parts Not Available.” There was no way to speak with a live person to correct the error.
