Electrical reviews in Chicago, Illinois

Highlights Chicago did an excellent job on our electrical project! The process was smooth from start to finish. Anna at the office was helpful and made scheduling easy, while BOZ, the project manager, showed great expertise and kept everything on track. They installed several outlets and dimmer switches that work perfectly. The team was professional, efficient, and the quality of work was top-notch. Highly recommend!

Outstanding professionalism from the Highlights team! For this client, Highlights needed to go into the ceilings because of the old cloth wire. The knowledge Boz had was unparalleled; it was out with the old & in with the new transformers & LED. I really appreciate that Raul & the guys protected the furniture & artwork. Considering that the glass was 1K a piece, they took all the precautions & I knew we chose the right business. I highly recommend Highlights, best in the city!

Raul and Oscar were punctual and efficient when installing a new outlet behind my TV. They were able to do it without cutting any drywall! While there were certainly quicker ways of accomplishing the task, they both had my best interest in mind as a homeowner. I will certainly be back should I need any other electrical work completed 🙏

Juan and Geda did an amazing job installing the Tesla charger for us. They showed up on time and covered the floors before work starts. Very professional during the whole installation! They were willing to make some adjustments to fit the cover box on the wall. Overall, Super neat work and cleaned up everything afterwards. Highly recommended !
On top of that, Boz gave us a free quote before the actual work, and the quote is very reasonable, no hidden charges like some companies out there.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Highlights Chicago Installing a large, heavy light fixture in a tall-ceilinged room in a high-rise is no small feat, but they handled it with absolute ease, confidence, and class. From the moment they arrived, they were calm, prepared, and focused. They took every safety precaution seriously, navigated the space skillfully, and managed the entire install with quiet efficiency. The fixture was not only installed perfectly--it looks like it was always meant to be there. Their attention to detail and pride in their work really showed!

Did a commercial space for us in Skokie, the highlights did amazing work. Pulled a permit and dealed with the village. The village came and inspected and everything was great! Thanks so much to highlights team! Highly recommend

Highlights Chicago provides fantastic service, and I couldn't be happier with the work done by Raul and Oscar at my home this morning. They were extremely efficient and did a very clean job, ensuring everything was completed perfectly. I especially appreciated Raul taking the time to clearly explain the options for placing the additional outlet, making the entire experience professional and seamless. I highly recommend them!

Highly recommend using Highlights Chicago for your electrical / lighting installation. They did a fabulous job and I cannot say enough good things about everyone that was working on the project. From start to finish, the consultation and quote with Boz, to the scheduling with Iva, to completing the work with Jimmy, Davor and Christobal, everyone was professional, friendly and the work speaks for itself.

Most professional and efficient team I've met. I need to thoroughly thank Jimmy and Davor as they were the best team, very experienced, and worked very quick! I was very lucky to book a same day appointment in the city of Chicago (which we know same day can be VERY rare), where they came in the expected timeframe given, were very polite (& took off their shoes) and truly focused on the work that needed to be done! Not only were they very detailed and thorough, they were kind enough to explain their work being done. Truly Jimmy and Davor are the best duo!! It was a pleasure meeting them!!

From talking to Anna on the phone (who was incredibly professional, clear in communication and polite) to meeting Jimmy and Davor - truly the BEST electricians in the city - I would 10/10 recommend.

I had a very complicated project to put a new EV charger in a 200+ unit in River North. Nobody had done it before, and it was challenging to create a new 208V line going from the 5th floor garage to my parking spot on the 3rd floor. Especially, when the building is 100% concrete.

After getting proposals from 7 Electrical vendors (AMS, T&D, Sims & Sons, Skyline, John's, Highlights, AC/DC). Highlights was the most responsive (answering calls, replying emails, site visits, providing insurance/license info) and the most reasonable price.

Boz and his crew of 4 people showed up, did a fantastic job with the wiring, 1 inch pipes, circuit cutoff switch, and installation of my Wallbox. They showed up on time and gave me an accurate time of completion. I was able to charge my car 5 minutes after they left.

Thanks Boz and team, and Anna for administrative things. Will hire them again!

This is an excellent Electrical company and I’m glad I got to know them. Boz (the owner) shows you right away that he knows his stuff and he’ll steer you in the right direction. I accepted their proposal to upgrade my panel and run 3 new lines to the oven (for an induction oven), dryer and garage (for EV charger).

His workers Kaplan and Jerardo showed up on time and were courteous and very respectful of the spaces. Like their boss, they show right away they know their stuff and you can tell they’re hard workers. They labeled my new panel and explained how the new grounding is going to protect my appliances.

Very glad to have used them to electrify my condo!

We have used Highlights for our apartment in Chicago when the dishwasher lost power. The technician came right away, he was very professional and fixed everything in about half an hour.Juve was very helpful and Anna helped with scheduling and provided all the information we needed.
Will use them again.

Highly recommend Highlights Chicago for any of your electrical needs. They were very easy to work with. Boz, came by and gave a quote. Iva did all the scheduling. And Jimmy, Christobal and Davor did fabulous work. Everyone was friendly and profesional. Can't say enough good things about the overall experience and the finished work. We are in a loft with high ceilings and they were installing large chandeliers, fans and pendant lights.

We found a gem in Highlights Chicago! Knowing we had a major electrical job coming, we tested out the company with a smaller job first (replacing a couple outdoor outlets and installing two smart switches). The two workers sent by Highlights were quick, professional and knowledgeable. The work also was reasonably priced. So when it came time to address significant code violations in preparation for installing solar panels, we went with Highlights again. Boz came out quickly to get a handle on the work we needed done and helped expertly and smoothly guide the large project from start to finish. Excellent Highlights technicians moved and replaced our circuit board in our main house, grounded our electric to our water line, and installed a Level 2 EV charger in our garage (which entailed trenching and laying conduit through our back yard and adding a second circuit panel in the garage). All of this work was excellent and was permitted by the City without a hitch. We highly recommend Highlights for all of your electric needs, whether big or small!

We had a great experience with Highlights Chicago. They installed new electric in our 2-flat renovation. Juve was our point person and I really enjoyed working with him. He was responsive, professional and detail-oriented. Martin and Christian worked on the project as well and did great work. They installed our lights as well including chandeliers and sconces they expertly put together and hung. The pricing was transparent from the beginning and reasonable. Boss Boz was friendly and made everything straight forward to get done. I highly recommend this company for projects big or small.

Boz and his team are truly outstanding! They are very professional and use the latest and best equipment for EV charger installation. From measuring to wiring to the final setup, every step was done with great skill and attention to detail.

Another huge plus is that they can provide EVSP certification, which makes it easy for customers to apply for the ComEd rebate — something that saves both time and money.

Their customer service is excellent as well. They really listen to what the client wants, give professional suggestions, and keep smooth communication throughout the entire project.

I strongly recommend Boz and his team to anyone who needs an EV charger installed. No need to hesitate — they are the best choice!

I find that it's not easy to find good service providers in downtown Chicago, but Boz and Highlights Chicago are certainly among the best!

I needed to install a Tesla EV charger connected to my building's grid and have an submeter to track energy consumption. While others were quoting exorbitant prices or even deeming the project impossible, Boz made the discussions very straightforward and provided a reasonable quote. The team provided the required certificate of liability insurance on the same day I requested, I got the project approved by my building's association and had the installation scheduled.

The execution was on point! The team arrived at the exact time scheduled, with everything they needed and perfectly installed my charger as requested, all with proper care, safety and cleanliness. Shout out to Boz, Iva, Kaplan, Gerardo, Cristian and Matthew, a super team of super experts! I'll definitely recommend their services to others in my building and friends.

I had an excellent experience with Highlights Chicago from start to finish. Boz came out for the initial inspection and provided a detailed, well-written proposal for my HOA board. Out of the four proposals I received, theirs was not only the most professional but also the most fairly priced.

On installation day, the team showed up early, worked efficiently, and was minimally disruptive throughout the process. The quality of work was outstanding—they left everything spotless, as if no work had ever been done, except now I have a perfectly installed EV charger.

A huge shoutout to Cristobal and Cesar for their precision and professionalism in getting the install done right the first time. Everything about this experience was smooth, transparent, and reliable. I would absolutely recommend Highlights Chicago to anyone looking for electrical work or EV charger installation.

I was blessed to have found this company. They were extremely reasonable and the quality was excellent. It begins with the kindness & professionalism of the reception
then the on time service with very qualified electricians. The work was finished perfectly and the gentlemen were so wonderful. I will always use them and refer them to my friends with confidence. the job was completed for less money than I thought as they think outside the box.

We got several estimates to have recessed lighting put in our condo (17 in total). Not only was Highlights Chicago the best cost wise, but they were in depth with the estimate and very responsive to any questions we had prior to the project. Victor, Benjamin & Gus arrived on time, were very friendly, detailed with covering everything in plastic and did an excellent job installing our lights. We were absolutely thrilled with result and will not hesitate to recommend Highlights to our friends and family.

Phenomenal communication, efficiency, and quality of work. Boz and his team really blew us away with their expertise and thoughtfulness. I couldn't recommend them higher. Cris, Cesar, Ben and Ulises were wonderful.
