Great location in the sliver of land between Chicago and Grand—provides a nice layout, with plenty of space to spread out all those plants! I felt like the service left a *little* to be desired, but I've only been once and will see how it goes next time. Glad to have a local option!

This was my first time here and I loved it. Great selection of indoor plants!! Soo many different kinds of pots (which is what I was looking for). Super helpful and knowledgable staff. I have cats and most nurseries I go to cannot tell you if plants are toxic.... they have a list on the register and answered right away when I asked! Love that! She also gave me a plant care sheet for what I bought which was such an impressive extra touch! Loved that! Also they have a rewards system! I will be back for that hoya!!

I was just looking for a few plants for my apartment and they were very helpful. They asked about what kind of light the plants will get and how often I want to have to water them and they helped me pick out a couple really cute plants. I already killed one of them but the other two are still doing great!

I needed a gift card for a friend's birthday. I'm in PA, my friend is in Chicago. Rhonda was able to send my friend a gift certificate thru email on her birthday! Great customer service!

I love spending time here browsing the plants. Christy Webber always has a wonderful selection of pots as well.

Always interesting to visit a new garden center to see what their selection looks like. Do like the vintage payphone.

Amazing, friendly place! I'm a houseplant hoarder and they have a pretty big selection, and I got to cross off 4 plants from my wishlist and thought about getting more. Prices are fair for most things, sometimes expensive sometimes cheap! I was given a box to carry my things, offered help but wasn't being hounded, which I like. For the friendly faces, selection, and knowledge, I'll go out of my way to come back.

We shop here several times a year for all kinds of things like bulbs, bushes, trees (both for the yard and later for Christmas), soil, you name it! The staff here is always incredibly helpful, cheerful and knowledgeable about everything I've ever asked them. They truly enjoy helping customers have a beautiful home and will point you in the right direction, even if that direction is a lower priced option than you were thinking if it will do better in your yard. Fully recommend this place!

Love this place! I think I'm running in to "just grab a bag of soil" and I always end up with 5 new plants! They have such a huge selection, very unique plants as well. Fun assortment of pots and other household/gift items. Seriously, plan on wandering around for awhile.

Wonderful staff and great selection. So happy with my purchases and experience!

I was asked if I needed help within 15 seconds of getting there for the first time. That would be impressive for a jewelry story, let alone a nursery. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. The manager/owner pulled some out of season seeds from the back for me (thank you!). Won't be going anywhere else.

Good prices, large selection. I hope they stay open during the winter!

Probably the best place to get plants in the city. I’d put their prices at only slightly higher than like a Home Depot, but their selection is unmatched. They have an excellent variety of native plants. We happened in on a day where they were having a crazy Earth Day sale, so we got a bunch of plants and nicer ceramic pots at a great price.

Incredible service! I am a first time plant owner and have come here twice to get their opinions on how to get my plants to look more healthy. I have also gotten four plants re-potted here. The selection of the pots range from simple to sassy and the service is incredible! 100% recommend!

The staff is quick to assist and knowledgeable (thank you, Dakota, for the time and information) but only a limited and shrinking variety of shady annuals for pots.

Beautifully designed store with a wide selection of plants and accessories and friendly, knowledgeable staff - overall a very positive and empowering plant shopping experience!

I’m a first-time plant buyer and shopper at Christy Webber, and was a bit wary as I’ve managed to kill all the plants I’ve been gifted over the years except one. I explained this to a staff person at the store when I arrived. Without judgment, they listened to my preferences and walked me through options for plants that require minimal light/watering, and how to pick the appropriate size pot. Then they lent me a tape measure and gave me the time and space I needed to browse. I fell in love with one plant.

I also had a particular color and style of pot in mind. Not only did the staff person spend a good deal of time looking for the ideal fit pot with me. When we couldn’t find it, they recommended another store for me to visit, which I did and returned later with the pot. My selected plant was waiting for me by the counter. I received extensive guidance for how to care for my plant from multiple staff members. Although Christy Webber offers complimentary potting, I wanted to pot on my own, and received tips for how to do this correctly, along with a vote of confidence. (The staff at Christy Webber clearly love plants, people, and their jobs.)

My partner and I are really happy with our new purchase, and “Gus” - a 2.5' seven-stemmed Dracaena Marginata - is adjusting to his new home. You may pay more at Christy Webber than you would at a Home Depot or CostCo, but it’s worth it for the quality of the products and shopping experience.

So many amazing plants and really fair prices. Great selection of planters too. The clearance section is large and generous. There is a friendly chicken that wanders around. Not much parking and the entrance was hard to find, though. Neat little getaway in the city. I would definitely come back. I like that they offered to put your plants in a pot for you. Most places don't do that!

The variety of what you can find here is really something - both indoor and outdoor. I really like that they have expertise in native and invasive species planting along with plants for pollinators. Feels very professional.

Never had any issues with bugs or rot, so I'm never hesitant to purchase here. As a cheapster, I come here often to check on the clearance house plants cause they're fun to nurse back to full force if you have the time. They're usually still healthy besides looking a little thin!

Aside from the actual review, a long time ago before they renovated there was a pig here, I only got to meet it once but I think of that pig all the time and hope it's happy wherever it is now. :)

Update March 2024: 5 stars for that perfect pig!!

I’ve come here for a Christmas tree every year for at least 5 years. The staff is always incredibly kind and helpful. Today in particular, the person helping us held up multiple trees next to each other to make sure we picked the one we liked best, which I found kind and thoughtful, then also expertly tied the tree to the top of our car. The staff inside was very friendly. Thanks to the CW team for making the experience lovely!

They've got great plants, and I love all their animals!
