Gabriel provided excellent service by addressing all my queries in a detailed and thoughtful manner. His annual fall furnace clean and check went beyond expectations, as he offered valuable insights into preventative maintenance and energy-efficient practices for our older home. He's definitely worth considering if you get the chance to hire him.

After two decades of faithful service, our boiler had reached its limit. When it stopped working on the weekend, Guardian's rapid response was impressive - they quickly addressed flooding issues and provided clear explanations. The next morning, their team arrived on-site ready to install a new system. Tasso, Jon, Ben, and Jonathan were diligent, friendly, and took the time to explain how the new system would affect our home's efficiency. Despite an initially stressful situation, Guardian transformed it into a smooth, positive experience.

I had Guardian's home services team visit me today for my annual furnace and boiler check-up, courtesy of Mundo from Guardian. He showed up right on time and gave everything a thorough once-over. He explained his findings clearly and in detail, was super professional and polite - I'd definitely hire him again and recommend Guardian to others.

Tech did their job, but the ongoing issue with the unit they installed remains unresolved. We paid thousands to repair it under warranty just three months ago, expecting a full parts guarantee. Yet, we still don't have heat and haven't scheduled an appointment for a boiler replacement - our third attempt in this process.

I've been using Guardian's services for a long time, and they consistently deliver on reliability and affordability. Their technicians, led by Gabriel in this case, are knowledgeable and provide helpful information during their work.

Guardian handled my heating problem with ease. Technician Tasso was pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. He fixed the issue fast and ensured everything worked properly, giving me confidence for Chicago's harsh winters. The service was top-notch, thanks to Tasso's professionalism and courtesy.

We purchased a house that required a complete overhaul of its HVAC system. Initially, the furnace and hot water heater were leaking gas, forcing us to replace everything. We chose Guardian because of their reputation, but unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of disastrous.

The installation process was massive, with new furnaces, water heaters, AC units, and minisplits all being installed. The costs were substantial, and it's alarming that even a year later, so little of the system functions as intended. Our new HVAC company has had to make multiple corrections to their mistakes, which is not only frustrating but also costly.

Here are some key issues with Guardian's performance:

    * Not a single installation has worked flawlessly. The furnace overheated and produced dozens of error codes daily, while the minisplit leaked and the AC was overcharged. Interestingly, our hot water heater, despite being installed correctly, lacked an essential information tag.
    * The furnace had significant temperature control issues, failing to heat properly and producing a multitude of error codes. Our calls for assistance were met with alternating visits from project managers and technicians, who would reverse each other's work and claim it was fixed. In reality, multiple holes were cut in our ducts only to be filled again. Vents were opened one day and permanently closed the next.
    * The minisplit leaked, and a technician fixed it within an hour. However, during their assessment, they discovered that the installation lacked a crucial drainage hose grade, which is unusual for an HVAC company to overlook.

Throughout our experience, Guardian has consistently denied any wrongdoing and shifted the blame onto us. One project manager was particularly rude to my wife, dismissing her concerns in front of me when I wasn't present. When we reported them to the Better Business Bureau, they refused to service their equipment as a form of retaliation.

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this experience warrants it. It's clear that Guardian saw us as an opportunity to profit and then gaslit us when issues arose. The amount of money and effort invested in this project could have gone a long way towards ensuring our HVAC system functions properly. Instead, we're left with subpar results and ongoing costs.

In short, avoid Guardian at all costs. If it's not a scam, it's incompetence of the worst kind. We'll be paying for our mistake for years to come, and I hope others will learn from our experience.

This referral from my neighbor turned out to be spot on - they nailed it.

The level of professionalism I experienced, from scheduling to the actual service, was top-notch. The technician, Lisandro, was thorough and took the time to explain what was causing our rattling noise. It was fixed along with a 45-minute tune-up of our furnace that day.

I'll definitely be using this business for any future needs - it exceeded my expectations.

Gabriel's expertise in furnace maintenance is top-notch, ensuring our multiple units were ready for winter. He provided a detailed assessment that covered all aspects of our systems. Gabriel's knowledge, courtesy, and affability made him an absolute pleasure to work with - I highly recommend his services.

I had a decent first experience with this company when they initially assessed my unique split system situation. Jonathan seemed knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the pros and cons of replacing both the heat and AC units, but what set them apart was that they didn't want to replace both - despite my old AC being over 30 years old from 1998.

After comparing with other companies, I decided to go with this one. However, it took Jonathan several weeks just to get back to me after I reached out again. He eventually apologized and offered to install a smart thermostat at no charge, but the catch was that I'd have to buy my own. Luckily, they agreed to do the installation for free.

The crew's professionalism was impressive, but there were some minor issues with protective layering down which caused them to scuff up one spot on my floor. Jonathan had assured me that the new system would be more efficient, but what I got was actually less efficient - which ultimately meant I wouldn't qualify for a $600 rebate.

Things took a turn for the worse when the split system started having issues with the old and new thermostats in certain areas of my home. The crew gave me some unsatisfactory options to fix it, including running an external wire along my hallways or drilling holes everywhere without guaranteeing they'd find the correct splice spot. I managed to negotiate them down to $250, but it still took some persistence on my part.

They had to order a replacement part, which when returned, didn't work. It was only after me suggesting a potential solution that they agreed to move the thermostat and run a new wire, charging me an additional $150 for labor. I refused to pay more, so they did it for the agreed price of $250.

At this point, I'd had enough and just wanted them to finish the job. However, problems persisted even after completion. When someone came to tune up my furnace, I discovered that they'd left exposed wire inside the unit. They promptly fixed it at no charge, but it was clear that communication with the company itself wasn't exactly seamless.

Whenever I called their office or tried to leave a message for someone to reach out, it seemed like I was often met with radio silence. It would take multiple attempts just to get in touch with anyone, and even then, there was no guarantee of receiving a response from a manager. Overall, while the initial assessment and installation were decent, the follow-up communication, costs, safety concerns, and managerial professionalism left much to be desired.

I wouldn't recommend this company due to these issues, especially considering the rebate situation and lack of transparency in their customer service.

The team delivered a top-notch installation that was both efficient and clean. Their after-hours support is exceptional - they truly go the extra mile to ensure prompt service, even outside regular working hours, making them stand out in terms of customer service.

This technician was excellent. We had no idea what to expect, but he turned out to be knowledgeable, swift, courteous, and thorough in his work. The fact that his name tag said "Darwin" didn't necessarily tell us much about him, but we appreciated the expertise he brought to the job.

They responded quickly and were very professional. Bert, the technician, did a great job addressing our issues and presented a solid solution. We'd definitely use them again.

I'm grateful for prompt, reliable service and would definitely recommend GHCS for all my heating, cooling, and plumbing needs.

They arrived on schedule, providing advance notice of their visit. The technician took the time to explain the issue with our tenant's furnace, helping her understand what was wrong and how to fix it. Since she lives alone, Lisandro's professionalism put her at ease, making her feel safe allowing a stranger into her home. It was clear they only charged for the service call, no additional work was done. This company has earned my business, I'll definitely be using them again.

The technician was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He answered my questions confidently and provided valuable information. His service was top-notch, and I appreciate the added perks like free cleanings and discounts. The low monthly maintenance fee is a great value – no extra charges to speak of.

We had a top-notch experience with Guardian Heating and Cooling after they reworked our ductwork and installed a new heating and cooling system in our home.

Working with Rocco, Chad, and Miguel was a pleasure - they were courteous, efficient, and genuinely invested in getting things right for us. The team, particularly Juan and Jerry, absolutely excelled. Their dedication to doing the job correctly was impressive.

The outcome speaks for itself: air quality and comfort levels have seen significant improvements, and we're thoroughly satisfied with the results.

What impressed me most is that they balanced expertise, clear communication, and fair pricing - a rare trifecta in the industry.

I strongly endorse Guardian Heating and Cooling to anyone needing HVAC services - whether it's installation, ductwork modification, or system upgrading. They've earned our confidence, and we'd happily recommend them to anyone.

Exceptional job from start to finish! Juan and Jerry are top-notch professionals who went above and beyond. They were patient with my questions and explained everything clearly. The cleanup was spotless. Hire Guardian without hesitation - you won't regret it. Jonathan, the sales rep, also provided excellent support and customer service, making the experience seamless.

I had my AC unit fixed by Peter after it stopped working, but what struck me was how cheaply he cleaned it - now that I think back on it. It's clear why the price was so low: Peter made the unit look almost new again. At this point, I found out the unit was 22 years old and the furnace wasn't far behind. Given their age, I considered getting quotes for replacements. Jonathan came by with proposals, and the owner added some extras that he thought would be beneficial to my home. The final quote seemed fair, considering the work involved. New units were installed the following week. The crew doing the installation was top-notch - you could tell they took pride in their work, and it showed in the immaculate finish. I've seen installations of other equipment, mainly in telecommunications, but this one far exceeded expectations. If you haven't already, take Guardian's work seriously.

Had a great initial experience with Guardian Heating. I woke up to find my heating system wasn't working and called them for help. A few hours later, technician Tasso arrived and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Tasso walked me through what he was doing step by step, which impressed me. When I turned my unit back on, it seemed to work, but I was still worried since it had stopped working at night and not in the morning. He explained how my system is set up and what's likely to break down first, last, or somewhere in between. While the heater was running, he narrowed it down to an issue with one of the hoses, explaining why he suspected it was the problem.

The heater turned off soon after, displaying a code 57 for clogged venting. Tasso cleaned the pipes and hoses, saying he'd try to turn it on to see if it stays on, but warned that the water sensors likely needed replacing. Sure enough, the heater turned on briefly before shutting down again with the same code. He removed the sensors, cleaned them, and then had the unit working again without stopping.

Although the issue was resolved, Tasso suggested I replace the water sensors for peace of mind and showed me how to do it myself. He even provided part numbers, compatibility information, and recommendations on where to buy them at a good price. His professionalism extended beyond just fixing my problem; he took the time to explain how other parts were performing and what signs to look out for if they fail in the future.

After the unit was working, Tasso performed multimeter readings on other parts, highlighting which ones are still in good condition and which might fail next. What struck me most was his genuine desire to help and explain things to me, not just doing his job. He never pushed unnecessary repairs, but did suggest yearly maintenance to prolong part life.

I now understand that servicing my venting and hoses could have extended the life of my water sensors and overall motor health. Yearly maintenance might have saved me money in the long run and added peace of mind. Nonetheless, I'm grateful for Tasso's expertise and will be calling Guardian Heating again when I need help.
