Going to make it short and sweet:
* Had the lowest quote on yelp.
* They missed the appointment and came the next day.
* Once arrived complained about size of the house.
* Saw a register with sediments & moisture and refused to clean the vent.
* Made me think there was a major pipe leak.
* Made me spend $350 on a plumber to tell me there is no pipe leak.
* Got Chicago land Airduct to get the job done.
* Should not have called these guys.

What a professional team. I usually don't write reviews but felt they really deserved one. From the time I spoke with Karl on the phone who was honest and upfront until Mike and Brandon came and did the work. They were prompt and actually knew what they were doing. Will use again for sure!

I would highly recommend Ugly Ductling. We had the dryer vents in three units at our condo building cleaned out today. The team was friendly, efficient and courteous. We will use Ugly Ductling again. Thanks!

These guys are great! I had them come out to mom's house all the way in Elgin! She never had her air ducts cleaned before.... The were prompt, very informative, and did a great job. There was a whole trash bag of dust, dirt, and what ever else was living in her vents, when they were done. I recommend Ugly Ductling to any one who needs their air ducts cleaned!

Professional and prompt. They gave me a quote, an arrival time and a length of service time over the phone. They called prior to the appointment to confirm what time they would arrive. They worked around our full house (3 toddlers, 3 pups, 3 adults). The house smells wonderful and I will be sure to use them again!

Didnt realize how important it is to have my vents cleaned!! The owner explained how easily a fire could start with lint build up. Glad I had it done. I told my neighbors about it and they wanted to have theirs done as well. The owner passed on a discount for us all and we were all able to have our services done at the same time! Thanks again!!

Very professional. Matt & Adam showed up right on time and did a great job cleaning our blocked dryer hose, and they even went into the back of the dryer to vacuum out any extra stray lint (quite a feat for a stacked unit in a tight space). They were incredibly helpful & answered all our questions. Would highly recommend.

Amazing service!! They cleaned my dryer vent for me 2 weeks after a different company “claimed” to clean it. They were so thorough and even showed me everything they got out! Very smart and clearly knew what they were doing!! Highly recommend!!

My dryer was not performing as it should and after reading Ugly Ductling ' s excellent Google reviews I called to inquire about services, pricing, etc. I spoke to Kurt who not only answered all my questions but, was able to schedule my service for the next day. The two servicemen (Chris and Matt) were timely, polite, conscientious, knowledgeable, informative, and efficient. Ugly Ductling exceeded all of my expectations from start to finish and I will, without hesitation, employ their services again.

I called Karl to arrange a time to get the air ducts in my new home cleaned. The Ugly Ductlings were able to pencil me in that same week! Chris and Matt showed up about 15 minutes early and were friendly and efficient. They walked me through their process and answered all of the many questions I had. Their services will be recommended to all of my family and friends.

Ugly Ductling attracted some bad attention for my Condo Association for something that was entirely my fault. I want to say that Karl offered the easiest and best estimate for dryer vent cleaning and was incredibly responsive to emails and educational.

As with all problems, they don't all happen politely at once. On the day his team was scheduled to take care of our dryer vents I (who was the point of contact) was called into work early (leaving my roommate with access to my unit), my phone was broken and my computer was unreliable and I had a more personal issue to sort through as well. I emailed about the phone contact changing to my roommates number the night before and took for granted all of his past lightening fast responses.

The address was written incorrectly on the work order, I'm embarrassed to say that at one point in our emails I was the source of that typo, although at another point I had written it correctly.

Despite this, Karl offered an immediate remedy-- a whopping discount on an estimate that was more than fair to begin with. I have full confidence in this business and hope that we get to continue a relationship with him. As far as the address, it was of course a small typo and a tenant was able to see the truck driving by. I am shocked that any business is able to provide such a tight, PROMPT window.

I have full confidence in ugly ductling and would hire for myself personally in a heart beat.

Karl and his team did an amazing job. I was really impressed with how professional they were. Pricing was very reasonable and they were really easy to work with. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family.

Kurt did an amazing job in our unit. This is the second time we've had these guys out to clean our air ducts and we will continue to hire them in the future. They are friendly, kind, clean, professional, and most of all, they tell you what they're doing and answer any question you may have along the way.

My building hired this company for the HVAC cleaning. We were expecting a similar experience to what we had at a similar Chicago company.

This company only took 5 minutes to vacuum the vents in my entire condo and then go on their mary way. And by vaccum the vent, I mean they held a vaccum up to the outside of each vent for 30 seconds. They didn’t insert anything into the ducts to clean them out like other companies have done. In the past this has taken about an hour with heavy duty equipment and they showed us the dust and debris that came out.

My building manager mentioned he reached out to the owner because many of us in the building are baffled by the low quality and high cost for a service with literally no results. Everyone in my building feels scammed and we all still have dirty ducts.
