I just used captain rooter emergency
plumbing service and they did a remarkable job. They were very prompt, courteous, professional and I highly recommend them for anyone that has plumbing needs big or small -
Had an issue with a toilet that had a bad fill valve. They replaced it, it works. I was charged three hundred and fifty seven dollars. If your reading this shop around. Bob was my tech.

These guys are great, William and Joe came out the same day I called and power jetted my main sewer line, they even camered it too for me to make sure everything was cleaned out. Highly recommend these guys!

This crew was timely, knowledgeable, and honest. When they found an issue--they helped connect me directly with the city so they could come out and assess where they need to repair. I'm grateful for their quick help.

Bob is wonderful. We are renting an apartment in Chicago, and Bob came in and handled everything professionally and quickly. He managed all communications with the landlords and did a stand up job.

With a quick response William and Damien came and fixed my basement flooding. I hope I don’t have this issue again but if I do, I know who to call.
-Called and was here in a hour
-Took less than 45minutes to fix the problem
-For the type of expertise worth the money
Thank you!!! -
Great service from Service Technician Manny from Captain Rooter. He is skilled, excellent troubleshooter, on time & knowledgeable. Captain Rooter should be glad to have you on their team. Thank you Service Tech Manny.

I recommend Pat! I had a clogged bathtub, and he was very quick & professional. He explained the issues why my tub was clogged & fixed it all in 1 hour!! He very courteous as well. Thanks Pat!!

2 residential toilets were clogged. Captain Rooter’s Plumbers came out, fixed 1 toilet using a snake, attempted to fix the 2nd toilet with the same snake, all which took 20 minutes BUT charged $500. WE STILL NEED ANOTHER PLUMBER TO FIX THE 2nd TOILET. Use another company who values customers. And their business during this Covid-19.

Brandon, from the Lyons location, was awesome, quick and efficient. He knew what he was doing, talked us through the problem, and got the job done.
Also, it was so helpful that they accept Zelle payments.
THANK YOU Brandon!! 👏👏👏 -
Not happy at all. They did work for me. I'm still having issues. They said they would come this morning, and when I call, my call is ignored. They didn't keep their appointment this morning. They offered a 30 day warranty and don't keep their word. I will not use again.Very unprofessional. Very disappointed.

Responded same day to look at a problem with our stove's gas line. Manny did an excellent job explaining the problem and addressing the situation. Would happily use them again.

Pat K. did a great job inspecting the underground pipes at my condo building. He showed up on time, listened to my concerns, did the requested pipe inspections, and answered my questions. The fee he charged was reasonable. Thank you Pat!

Andrew Bateman was so great to work with. I've worked with a lot of different contractors, but Andrew was exceptional by comparison. Responsive, professional, & took all the headache out of the equation for me. Thank you Captain Rooter!

Chris just left after replacing a sump pump that went out yesterday. I had emailed late last night, and had a response first thing this morning. This is the second time I've used Captain Rooter - the first was when a team replaced my Hot Water Heater on a Sunday night back in March. This time around, I didn't even call anyone else. They've earned my business moving forward.

There could be a little bit more organization they don't keep videos on file so make sure you get a copy. I had to have them come out and check on my sewer lines that they had scoped for me about nine months ago. They just showed up, luckily I was there. The guys that got there, it was almost like they were prepared for a battle with me or something... Maybe they were just busy and a little short, either way the rest of the job went similarly till the end where I was accused of accusing them of something which I never did, obviously some sort of miscommunication. At the end of the day, the work got done, I was happy enough - if you want to try to understand the process, I don't think one of the guys I got really liked to be asked questions about the process, I'm sure your experience may differ from mine. I had ended up getting a hydro jet and they cleared out another line for me. I would call them again, like I said the experience I received was a little odd but nothing out of the ordinary for contractors these days 3.5 stars will give them 4

Very expensive. Make sure you establish the price up front.
They did some work on gas pipes, which was specialized so the prices weren't so horrible. Then they came back to install a garbage disposal and charged $350 for half an hour's work plus picking up a part on the way over -
if i could give ZERO stars i would. plumber came in to check a leak, said it was a contractor/ tile seal issue- referred me to a contractor. contractor came in and replaced tile and re grouted our floor for 2k, 3 days later the leak is back, had to call another plumber and pay another 700 for work that could of been done the first time around if this company had of sent a competent worker. we paid 2000 for work that didnt need to be DONE.

I Definitely don’t recommend this company for any emergency service.. needed a sewer line cleared as I was having backup in my shower… charged 475 to clear shower line which they could not clear... didn’t tell me that price before attempting to clear line.. than text me a price of 650 to try & clear the same line thru the toilet… at that point I said no.. paid them 475 +125 for emergency service fee & they left with nothing being accomplished.. he did say. If I had let him drop a camera to see which line to clear.. it would of been cheaper but Ofcourse he didn’t tell me any of that in the beginning or the 475 price til after they attempted to clear line.... had another company come the next day & clear the same line for 275 & no camera needed…so basically they wanted to charge me 1225.00 to do the same job, I got done for 275 the next day.. ripoffs!!!!!!!! Beware!!!!

We hired captain rooter to help our family during a winter freeze in February. It was the only plumber who wasn't completely booked, and it appears that was for good reason. Joel and Jesse managed to solve the problem after several days of golden time and causing tremendous damage to the walls and floor to gain access. The entire time we were trying to be upsold to buy water heaters etc which was unwelcome when they were struggling to fix the problem. Due to the huge price tag they quoted our insurance and the other contractors who came to fix the damage to the walls and floors were quite unimpressed with the quality of work. Additionally, after informing them that the work they did caused both our outdoor hoses to stop working Joel gave us a run around and after two scheduled appointments nobody showed up. Steer clear of this business. I shudder when I see one of their trucks knowing that another home owner is probably being taken advantage of.

The technician (Manny) was very punctual and professional. He repaired the problem and offered additional information about my home that I never knew. I do feel the price was a bit high but hey my problem was fixed expeditiously.
