So I was pulling weeds today and went to wash my hands, then discovered my sink was backed up! What a surprise! I went ahead and plunged it, removed the pipes, and rank my snake through the pipes, still backed up. I then knew I needed to get an auger ran through the pipes. I called root-rooter and was supported to have someone sent out within the hour! Noel and Adam arrived, threw some shoes covers on and then we went over everything I did and my issue. They went and grabbed their tools and got to work. My talkative 10 year old son who is very nosey and full of questions wouldn’t leave them alone…they handled him very well. They explained what they were doing, why they were doing it, and what can go wrong if you do it yourself without having some general knowledge. They were a pleasure to deal with, listened to you, and didn’t do what a lot of contractors do and blow off what you tell them. They treated my kid with respect all while getting the job done. Great experience with Adam and Noel, left me with a positive impression and pricing was reasonable. Great work guys and great hire Rito-rooter.

Past due update: so unfortunately it didn't take long before my sink backed up again. But luckily my work warranty was honored, quickly too. I expected a wait since I wasn't a paying customer, but nope! Came out right away.

Only down side, they accidentally broke an elbow. Which I discovered the next day after a shower, which lead to some clothes being damaged and hampers. But it was fixed without an issue and also done quickly.

I still like the company and would still trust them to do work in the future. I dropped 1 star due to the claims person never calling me back as promised. So I took the loss for the stuff getting ruined thanks to the accidental damage.

Very fast and reliable service. Joe did an amazing job and he is very knowledgeable. He gave us some great tips to prevent further issues from happening.

Jorge from Roto Rooter came to my condo in the south suburbs of Chicago at 9 pm and installed a new leaking and stripped cold water pipe under my sink and completed installation of a new Reverse Osmosis system. He was professional, polite and efficient and the price was reasonable for the time of night and work that needed to be done.

We needed emergency plumbing services late on a Friday evening. They came that night and fixed the problem within 1.5 hours. Marquita was amazing over the phone made sure we had a tech come out that night. Tyler was excellent. He diagnosed the problem, explained steps to fix the issue, and kept us informed every step of the way.

Tons of fake reviews on this page, just look at how many reviews the accounts have. I was told no service fee for scheduled appointments, fee for emergency. I said sure come tomorrow. In the morning I get a call saying "I'm slapping a service fee on everyone cuz I'm too busy." Is that not a bait and switch. Never calling them again, reporting them to company. Bad franchise, do not trust.

Called for a clogged sink. Showed up 2 hours late. Would not quote prices over the phone. When he showed up quoted me $782 to unclog my kitchen sink. I declined.
I called two others who quoted me over the phone, one for $220, the other for $130. The one for $130 showed up anD charged me $100 even. I gave him $120 for being honest and fair.
Predatory plumbers preying on the uninformed.

Kevin was very knowledgeable and courteous. He and his partner, Israel, did a wonderful job. They were efficient and cleaned up after the work was completed. They gave great suggestions as to maintaining our drains as well. Very thorough.

I wanted to take the time to express what a sincere pleasure it was to have someone come in who I did not feel was trying to take advantage of me and my family. Khaden really explained everything well and was super helpful. He was particularly patient with all of my questions. I will definitely use you guys again.

We had an emergency and they sent over Khaden quickly and he was very upfront and professional while fixing all of our issues in a timely matter. Very happy with all services provided! Would definitely recommend. 5 stars

Patricio (#2029) was amazing. He came to unclog a mainline from the bathroom. He was able to get 15# of debris out of the line! Super friendly and great customer service, would recommend to anyone! Extremely grateful for his fast service on a Sunday no less!

I needed a sewer drain cleaned on a Sunday. When I called Roto Rooter they set up an appointment right away. Unfortunately one of their staff called in sick and it got pushed back but they kept in communication and had someone else to my house a little over an hour past my appointment time. Awesome recovery! Sam , the technician, did a great job. He was professional and polite and explained what he found and what he was doing. It took a little less than 2 hours to get the tree roots out and water draining. Im very happy with the service I received both from the company and from Sam!

They did an excellent job they were prompt efficient clean respectful and overall did a very satisfying job They answered all my questions every step of the way.I would recommend this crew to anybody.

UNPROFESSIONALISM AT ITS FINEST. I scheduled a plumber to come out and they gave me an arrival window from 11 to 3pm. I had to call off work, to be home for this time frame to work. I waited and waited and waited until 3pm. I called to inform them that a plumber has not called or showed up to my house. They told me that a plumber will be calling me shortly so keep waiting. So I waited and waited and waited until 5pm. I called back to see what was the hold up and they said we will send someone. I asked how late do I have to wait in which they replied we send plumbers all the way up to midnight. So I waited until I finally got a call at around 5:45pm. It was them I could not believe it, finally. I answered and they told me our plumber that was suppose to come in at 3pm called off so we can't send anybody but we can reschedule for the next day. Disappointing my time was from 11 to 3pm so how was the plan to send a plumber that starts at 3pm. I called off work for this appointment which caused me money. This company is bogus, I can't call off another day at work. I waited from 11am until 5:45pm just for them to tell me we have nobody to send out. What a waste of a day. This was some of the most unprofessional treatment that I have ever experienced.

I was in dire need of a kitchen
repair, and Israel, the technician, truly went above and beyond to help me. He showed up promptly, spent several hours along with Kevin and Patricio to diagnosed the issue. They worked diligently to get everything fixed. Israel professionalism, kindness, and dedication really stood out — it’s rare to find someone who cares this much about doing the job right. I’m so grateful for his help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the company to anyone in need of reliable service.

I had Roto router come out and Yuri was my guy, he was awesome he helped me find the clean out in the front yard and I am able to do laundry and take a bath again, thanks so much! I would highly recommend him very nice man and took care of my problem quickly!

Recently had an issue with my toilet leaking at the base. From past experience, I was confident that it was only the wax ring needing to be replaced. I tried roto rooter, and the service tech quoted me $900 to rebuild the toilet. I thanked him for his time and paid the $69 fee for the 5min inspection.

I called another plumbing company, they came out same day, inspected the issue for free. They recommended starting with replacing the wax ring, inspecting the toilet flange and ensure no cracks underneath toilet bowl. In total the final invoice was $375. Issue was resolved.

I just want to say Karim and Azzy were top notch technicians. Very very professional, and very nice people as well! I can tell you that I have had some plumbers I have hired in the past, but nothing beats the work Karim and Azzy did. These guys busted their butt all day, the reassured up everything will be fixed and good to go today. So I was able to get a peace of mind knowing that these guys were here to save the day. Whoever their boss is, please give them a raise or a bonus because those two deserve it 150%. And if I ever need to call Roto-Rooter I will be sure to ask for both Karim and Azzy. Thank you again guys, you have no idea the ammount of stress that is lifted off our shoulders.

In Chicago, we had a terrible down pour of rain in January. My basement flooded with about 2-4 inches of water. I have used this company before. They are good, but very expensive and they did get the job done. I felt almost like they were telling me the truth, but trying to scare me at the same time about my outside pipes that are old and needed to be fixed, for about $13,000.00! I almost felt a pressure from them right now and on the spot that if I did not sign contract to get things done, things would go worse. I didn't like that at all, but I guess that is what some companies do. I was only told of this information and never saw any pictures to prove to what they were saying. I aslo had to ask to repair person to make sure my toliet was steaady. I also had to ask for him to really rod out the drain under my front porch stairs. If I did not ask for that, I don't think it would have been done. Would I used Roto-Rooter again? Maybe, but next time as a home owner I wouldn't be in such a panic to get things done. I would do my 3 contractor pricing and pick the best one for my budjet to get the job done.

Made an appointment on Friday afternoon for Sunday between 3 and 5pm. Dispatcher called me at 445pm Sunday to tell me my tech was running behind; I was next in line and someone should be out around 6 PM. At 8:45 PM I had not received a text update in over two hours and when I called about the status, I was asked to reschedule for the following morning. I canceled the appointment and called another plumber.

Patricia was great at his job called several plumbers to clear my toile and he was the one to fix it. Also gave me a fair price for his work and very knowledgeable about what he was doing. Would recommend to anyone having pluming issues.

Leonard was amazing, he was very informative and kept me updated with every step he had to take. He inspected everything. He also told me my sump pump was working fine but it had a bad switch on it that I can just replace the switch myself instead of having to get brand new pump. He then put me in contact with water restoration and also field supervisor for camera to check the line after rodding. Definitely recommend roto rooter and especially Leonard. He was friendly, funny, respectful, and most of all professional.
