Greg came out today to look at both of our air-conditioning systems. We had a free check up and tuneup as we bought two furnaces plus a garage furnace this past early spring. They did everything they needed and though our air conditioners are old. They said they’re in great shape. Thank you for helping us out.

I received a text that Greg the technician was on the way. Greg arrived on time and he was very courteous and professional. Greg did a very thorough tuneup of my AC unit and he even vacuumed inside and outside of my unit.
I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Hero Heating.

The maintenance person was explained everything to me and was very polite and friendly. It didn't take him very long to do the maintenance work on my furnace.

Had a whole new system put in 2 weeks ago. Had a little hiccup with the new system not running correctly and the techs came out and stayed until it was fixed. The lead tech, Greg was fantastic. Really appreciated all his help.

Hero has been our HVAC service provider for 10 + years and we have always had excellent service! All their techs have been respectful of us and our property and taken care of our regular maintenance and emergencies promptly! They answered our questions snd explained any repairs needed. Recent techs we had were Dylan, Ricardo, and Octavio who were great!

I'm happy to say the HERO/Edelman did a great job in addressing the concerns I had following a routine a/c checkup, where the initial technician announced that my Nest thermostat was no longer working and he replaced it with a very basic thermostat and charged me for it. Greg D from HERO arranged a visit, he quickly found the problem, and fixed it to my great satisfaction! Carlos and Stephanie in the office were a big help, too, listening carefully to my concerns and making the necessary arrangements. Five stars!

Once again, Hero has displayed excellence in customer service. I've been going to Hero for over 5 years for all of my HVAC work and they have yet to disappoint. Every staff person from appointment calls to Service technicians have been very wonderful and understanding. My old AC blew its last breath during our first hot days this year. After giving them a call, they were able to come out and assess my situation quickly. Then, within a few days after that first evaluation, they came out and installed a brand new AC unit. I was astonished on how quickly the work was done. I would refer Hero to anyone who needs any HVAC work done.

We have an all electric home with no ductwork, so installing AC required a unique solution. We decided to go with a Mitsubishi mini split ac/heat pump. Hero Heating was listed on the Mitsubishi website, along with 4 other contractors in our area. After calling Hero Heating, they had a tech (Glen) out to our home within a couple days, and had a quote ready the next day. Their price was much lower than any of the other contractors we called. They were very professional, and responsive. It took a few weeks for the Mitsubishi unit to arrive and schedule the installation. It only took one day for the techs (Joe and Dylan) to complete the installation. We now have an AC unit blowing ice cold air, and will hopefully save on electric heating cost by using the heat pump next winter. I highly recommend Hero Heating & AC. They were very professional and super nice people to work with.

Just wanted to add to my first review, the ac worked beautifully during the hot weather and we are now using the heat pump as our main source of heat. The unit seemed to be a little noisy so we called Hero Heating and they came out right away and installed something called sound isolator pads that fit between the unit and the mounting bracket. It only took a few minutes and they did this for free. The heat pump is super quiet now. I once again highly recommend Hero Heating & Air Conditioning in DeKalb, Illinois.

Had a surface ignitor issue, and Greg, the technician, came out and fixed the issue in a fast and professional manner, and could not have been any nicer and professional.

Ricardo did an amazing job, very professional and kind, he found a potential problem with our furnace, he replaced the part part and we are good to go. I would highly recomend Hero😀

Hero did a wonderful job in assessing the problem with my central heating, installed a temporary motor ordered a the correct replacement motor, and then two days later installed the new, replacement motor.

We have been with hero heat for many many years.they are the best company i have ever dealt with.they will come in a snowstorm,which they did with us.they have a 24hr emergency line..we just live this copany.i recommend them to everyone. Greg came by to do our annual air conditioner maintenance and he did a fantastic job! He was very thorough and explained the condition of the unit precisely. He also outlined some options for future service and unit replacement. Excellent company and a great service technician. Highly recommend.
