Outside unit quit working. Called one of those chain HVAC companies, and they wanted thousands of dollars to replace the compressor. Called Eagle Air for a second opinion. Tony came out and told me the compressor was fine. Just needed a new capacitor. Replaced it and the unit has been running great since.
Thank you for your honesty and integrity. Customer for life!

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with any HVAC company — period.

They showed up late (if they even showed up at all), had no idea what they were doing, and acted like they were doing me a favor by even being there. The techs looked like they just rolled out of bed, didn’t explain a single thing, tracked dirt through my house, and then left without fixing the issue — but still had the nerve to charge me!

I called the office to complain and got met with straight-up attitude and excuses. No accountability, no offer to make it right — just a bunch of unprofessional nonsense from top to bottom. And get this: when I got a second opinion from a real company, they told me half the stuff these clowns said was wrong wasn’t even a problem. They were just trying to upsell me on junk I didn’t need.

If you care at all about your home, your time, or your money — run. Don’t walk. RUN away from this company. Total scam artists hiding behind a service van.

Interacting with Eagle Air Inc. has been the worst customer service I have ever had with a business. I was referred to them by my American Home Shield. I called them on 12/16/24 and explained to them that I had a crack in my heat exchange and can't turn on my furnace because of a safety issue with potential carbon monoxide. I asked them to come out immediately because it's December and my pregnant wife and we can't properly heat our home. He explained they would come out two days later on 12/18/24, leaving us without heat for that time. My jaw dropped when I heard of the time frame they provided me with. I feel like someone without heat in the winter time, takes priority. The technician came out and confirmed there is a crack and the furnace needs to be replaced. They gave an estimate to home warranty company. My home warranty provided me with a high estimate , so I called Eagle Air to have them explain what the costs associated with the furnace are. The employee stated to me, "we don't disclose that" and "it's none of my business". I believe I have a right to know what the installation would cost in my house. The employee then hung up on me after saying this, all while he knows we can't properly heat our house. I believe they were charging me extra and find hidden costs outside what my warranty was covering. If not why wouldn't you tell me the exact amount? It's not my business to know the amount of the work being done at my house? You hung up the phone on me knowing I needed the furnace to be completed. And before you comment "these statements are untrue" like you do on every negative review left here. Ask yourself why do you have to constantly comment on negative reviews and say the customers experiences are untrue ? It says alot about your business. You left me without heat and delayed the process in the middle of winter. I've never had customer service with a business in my entire life.

Anthony showed up promptly, was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. He was knowledgable about our furnace and gave suggestions on how to handle our airflow situation.

This company was dispatched to my home in August 2024 to replace AC/FURNACE. Once the work was completed, everything worked fine until December 2024 when I needed to use the furnace to heat up the home, then I notice that the AC was running and not the Furnace. They company told me I needed to call my warranty company to correct the issue. After @125 co-pay they came to the house and realized that they crossed the switch which should have turn on the heat. Now that the temperature is on the rise not the AC does not work, I called Eagle air and they inform me it's not their problem that I would have to once a gain call my warranty company! Not eve n a tear old and so many issues with this now unit. Avoid this company, call someone else!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They wrongly installed new equipment and refuse to correct it.

Eagle Air was recommended by my home warranty, American Home Shield. They replaced 2 full HVAC systems (furnaces and A/C) in my home. Total cost $15K+

Unbeknownst to me they did not pull permits with the city = no inspection. Had that happened, we would have known that
    1. They didn't put in the correct size electrical breakers. Both units are on 30amps. With a 2.5 ton and 2 ton unit, it should be a 25 and a 20 otherwise it offers not protection. The wires will melt before it trips the breaker.
    2. They didn't install drier liquid lines (listed in both contracts) on either unit.
    3. They used soft solder instead of brazing the copper lines. This makes them subject to failure/leaks as the pressure it 3x what it was for the old units.
    4. They didn't replace the original copper linees. Per the installation manuals from the manufacturer, these lines are not the correct size for either of the units. I had two other independent, licensed HVAC repair companys out to confirm all of this as well.

When this was brought to Eagle's attention, Angie said "We don't know if that's true. People lie about our work all the time." When I spoke to Tony, sent him images in email, he said "Don't worry about it."

We scheduled an appointment in 5 days them to come assess the issues. I took off work for the day to wait 10-2p.
At 1:25 I called to check in. Angie told me they were not coming. That they had cancelled the visit as I didn't want to pay the $149 travel fee (as these issues were part of their initial install) and that they didn't like the way I treated them. I was also not allowed to speak with Tony.

They are refusing further communication and are not accountable for their own work. They knowingly installed this not to manufacture's speculations. This choice creates ongoing problems with the unit. As a customer and not an HVAC tech, I never would have identified this incorrect install without a 3rd party.
    ---------------
Here's the scam: Sell and put in a unit that mostly works, but needs annual repairs due to your incorrect installation. Parts are under warranty, but the service/labor is not, so you'll constantly call them out to work on the issues they created but refuse to actually fix.

I had a new fan motor installed by Eagle Air Inc. in our outside AC unit less than a year ago for $950. Recently, one of the four acorn nuts holding the fan in place broke off. When I reached out for service, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that they refuse to honor any sort of repair or support, citing their 90-day workmanship warranty – which had already expired.

To make matters worse, they claimed the damage was not due to normal wear and tear and instead suggested that someone else had tampered with it. This is simply not true. In reality, the damage is most likely due to over-torquing the bolts during installation, a clear workmanship issue.

It’s frustrating to deal with a company that won’t take accountability for potential installation errors, especially when the issue is directly related to a part they worked on. A reputable HVAC company should stand behind their work longer than 90 days, especially for something as fundamental as proper bolt installation.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious when choosing Eagle Air Inc. for HVAC work. Their limited warranty and unwillingness to address potential installation faults are unacceptable.

Called because I was not getting heat, Angie asked me if I had changed my filters. I hadn’t’. She said if that was not the problem to call her back and she would schedule a technician. That was the problem, instantly got heat and so grateful for such great personal service.

Lopez heating and cooling has installed and repaired dozens of furnaces for me over the last 25 years in Joliet and the surrounding area. He is an amazing business owner and tradesman. Fair honest and great communication. I can recommend Lopez enough.

Joel came quickly after contacting him. He did a quick, efficient job on our A/C unit. Very friendly and nice. We'll use him again! Very pleased.

He figured out the problem with my air conditioning without even opening it up. The cost of the part seemed reasonable... he quoted me a fair trip/repair price and had me up and running in less than 10 minutes. He then stayed a little longer at no additional charge and helped me route some of the air to parts of the house that had never cooled right since I moved in.

Joel was great. Came out within an hour of my call, and it was a Sunday. It was fixed the very next morning. He beat the other estimates I had by $300. Highly recommend

Great work, very professional, and very knowledgable at a reasonable price. Had issue with leaking radiator, he came out diagnosed issue and fixed it. It ended up not even being the radiator but had the tools and materials to fix it anyways. Not the first time I’ve used him and definitely not the last.

I needed AC& furnace replaced 2017 summer. I wanted Lennox hi-efficiency for both. So I got Joel HVAC's number from the Lennox site. He was very knowledgeable & professional. His quote was reasonable. As soon as he got the units he came over & replaced them. He was also courteous. He explained the technology in layman's terms. He is friendly as well. I will definitely recommend him to anyone with HVAC problems.
    Thanks Joel!
