Joel was great! I sent in an email request to 3 different companies, and all three responded first thing in the morning. I decided to go with Joel because he was 100% transparent and honest responding to all the questions I asked him. The other two were not. In fact one company sent a repair technician to my house even though I told them not to!
Seeing as it was below zero and I have an infant and a 3 year old in the house I needed this fixed asap. Joel went above and beyond in finding a new part for my furnace. No one had it locally, and he found the part in Chicago and went to pick it up. I'm sure this effectively killed his afternoon schedule, but he honestly helped me out big time and I appreciate it.

Joel was great! Called late in the evening and he came to the house quickly as our heat was not working. He ran back to his shop and grabbed the part he had in stock and installed same night! Very happy - will definitely call for his service again! What a life saver on the coldest nights of the year! Thanks Joel!

My A/C unit stopped working at 8pm so I called as many AC companies as I could first thing the next morning. Joel got back to me within 15 minutes of leaving a voicemail, and he was at my house fixing the capacitor within 4 hours on a 90 degree day. He quickly fixed the problem and I felt the pricing was reasonable as well. I would highly recommend Joel for repairs and service.

I called Joel after my air conditioner started acting up. He quickly returned my call and was able to come out the same day. He identified the problem and was able to fix the air conditioner within a couple of hours. He was super responsive, professional and reasonably priced. I would recommend Joel and would definitely call him again for any future hearing and cooling needs.

I gave Joel the product model numbers of the furnace, A/C and humidifier I was looking for. His quote was very fair, beating all competitors. My husband and I had been receiving quarterly maintenance on our furnace and a/c units from a large service company in the area. Over the time the repairs started to become more expensive. Yesterday we were told there was a carbon monoxide leak and were showed a picture of a hole in our furnace’s heat exchanger. As the unit was old it would not have made sense to repair it and the company provided us several quotes that were suspicious, quite high and offered very little detail. We decided to get a second opinion and alternate quote from Joel. I can’t tell how lucky we were to have had him come out and look at the unit. It turns out the furnace was fine and there was no hole in the exchanger. We were being scammed. Joel will be getting our regular maintenance business and when our units finally go that business as well. We are also telling our friends and neighbors to switch. Honesty and professionalism is alive and well and called Joel’s Heating and Cooling.

I asked Joel come out to check on our home's furnace and perform any preventative maintenance that may need to be done prior to winter coming. He is extremely communicative, was on time, he and his helper were very nice, professional, and worked efficiently. He was in and out in under an hour.

He walked me through at the end what work was done, what needed to maybe be looked at in the future, and was realistic about what I COULD spend money on if I wanted to but did not try to sell me on any services or upsells that would be redundant or unnecessary at this time.

He also let me know if I ever needed any recommendations as a new homeowner for any other services in the area (plumbing, electrical, general contracting) that he could provide suggestions for reputable contractors in the area that he trusts, which is above and beyond what I could hope for.

Really happy I trusted the reviews I found on here and picked Joel, he's got a customer for life moving forward.

It was Friday night, 7pm and 19 degrees outside. My furnace was acting up. Joel came with an hour of my call and resolved the issue promptly. He was very thorough and explained exactly what the problem was. I tried to contact other, more well known HVAC companies, but none could come out. Not only was the service done correctly, it was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Joel for any HVAC issue you may encounter.

Below zero temperatures and of course our furnace was acting up. We called someone out on Friday and they claimed they couldn’t find anything wrong. But our thermostat was set at 71 but not heating up past 63°. We called Joel and he came out and fixed the issue. He’s friendly and knowledgeable and was reasonably priced. We are now enjoying the warm house. Highly recommend him and his services.

There was a leak in our AC unit, multiple HVAC companies told us we would need to replace the whole unit. Our AC wasn’t working when it was 90 degrees out. Thankfully we called Joel and turns out he was able to replace the coil (which was where the leak was coming from) and was able to replace it in a timely manner. Our furnace went out in the dead of winter. Let me start out by saying we initially had another company come out to service it and they informed us that the cost of repair wouldn't be worth it & we needed a new furnace. They left & furnace was still not working. We were referred to Joel by a friend we called him he immediately came out and not only got our furnace working that day but informed us that we could fix it with a new inducer motor saved us $8000. Not only is he professional but is honest with his customers and fixes your problem. I highly recommend him and will continue to use him in the future should we need to.

Great, honest guys. Quickly diagnosed the issue with my laundry machine, got the part within a week, and was efficient with the repair. I am a first time homeowner and they were clear with me about everything the entire time.

Called them for a gas issue on an appliance and the took the time to explain what it could be to keep my family safe first, picked up on multiple calls and waited on standby to see what next steps were needed. Once that was establish they were timely, attentive and professional. After the work was completed they stayed for a few mins which organically turned into a great conversation to help me assess they are definitely a great company but great people. Highly recommend them for any needs.
