I was very disappointed in this Sears experience. I was given a vague 8:00am - 5:00pm time frame when I scheduled appt. On day of repair, time kept changing from 2:25pm, to 3:00pm and finally 5:04pm via email. There was no phone call and repair person showed up at 3:20.
Part charges were reasonable, but labor would have been $418.00 without $119.00 diagnostic fee subtraction! (Even $299.00 seems like a lot.) I felt rushed into making a decision on whether to repair or not.
Paper work was emailed and says washer is 20 years old; it's only 12 which I told repair person. Also, he told me I would receive a 25% coupon for purchase of new washer from Sears and haul away was available. The coupon I received by email was only 10% and site says no haul away.
Sears service used to be excellent - what's happened??? Sadly, it's doubtful we will ever use Sears again. The end of an era.

This company gives false information and makes terrible mistakes and expects the customer to pay for the. On 9/4 23 a technician said it was the lock on my washer that was in need of repair. Waited a week for the part than on9/11/23, another technician came out and said it was the mother board. And now they're telling me I have to pay for someone to come out again to do another diagnostic. What is wrong with them. This is the service that was suppose to be provided on 9/27/2023 I never got the chance to meet Monty. It was suppose to be free of charge for the unprofessional diagnosis of the first two technicians who came out earlier this month. Still all lies I still don't agree that I should have to pay for their mistakes.

Tech thought he was going to be later than window Sears gave me and called. He actually arrived during the window given to me. He noticed that thermostat needed batteries and waited for me to get some i had on hand. He seemed to be neat vacuuming the inside of furnace. He asked me how often I change my filter which is once a month during heating season.

My 92 Grandmother had a technician come out to look at her broken washing machine. The technician was very unprofessional! Quoted a new panel that costs more than them brand new washer cost in the first place. My grandmother wrote him a check for the visit, he tried to deposit the check via his cell phone. When it didn’t deposit he DEMANDED SHE WRITE ANOTHER CHECK. That one didn’t work either. So she told him to have the company send her the bill. He told her they wouldn’t do that.. they in fact will and are going too.. He even had the audacity the slam the door on the way out!! On a 92 year old woman.. horrible service! Outrageous prices. AVOID.

Cornel called me from in front of my house and said it is raining, pulled away with no further contact. To top it off he then closed out my claim. Would not answer the phone and refused to return to complete the scheduled work. Most unprofessional interaction I have ever experienced.

The tech that was assigned to fix our issue was extremely judgemental of our problem. He had very poor customer service skills which made us feel very uncomfortable. The technician kept repeating himself on how we have been doing things wrong and that is why our washing machine was in trouble. He changed a piece on the machine and after showing us how to continue with the process he kept stating that he was done and there was nothing else for him to do because it would take hours for the entire process to be completed. Extremely unpleasant experience.

Larry was professional and I appreciated how quickly he fixed the problem.

While the technician was polite and extremely helpful identifying the problem, he was unable to make repairs as he could not get the part needed. He made multiple calls to his Supervisor and other sources to no avail. Ultimately, I have to order the part and once received, call back to reschedule another service call to get it installed..

Our service tech Raul did a fantastic job in the installation of our dishwasher part. Was complete and thorough as well as professional in the service. Would recommend him in an instant. Left repair area very clean. Thank you.

The technician didn't cover his shoes and walked through the house. He didn't clean up the mess he left on the floor from fixing the dryer. Not very professional.

    Review:

I had a terrible experience with Sears’ service. The technician who came to my house was incredibly unprofessional and had a very bad attitude. He refused to remove the refrigerator drawers to help my husband make the area accessible for him to work on it. Instead, he simply installed the part he claimed was faulty and left without even plugging the refrigerator back in to ensure it was functioning properly.

When we plugged it back in ourselves, the refrigerator still wasn’t working and wasn’t cooling. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected better service and accountability from Sears. I do not recommend their service based on this experience.

Didn't seem interested in fixing the problem, estimated the cost would be 450.00 dollars to repair 3ft of tubing and Didn't have the materials to repair it. I repaired it for 15.oo and would likel the service charge returned. By the way, the water leak was visible to see .

My technician Clint, was great. It took awhile to find the part for my oven, but he did. Very nice gentleman and was prompt and accurate. It was my pleasure to meet him, and his service skills were wonderful.

Left the old compressor with it's box and trash. Stated the garbage service would pick it up. I'm thinking they will not and will I would need Sears to come and retrieve it and dispose properly. It's too heavy for me to move so it will require me getting help to the curb. He didn't sweep up.

Oscar was great! He did the diagnostic and was an able to repair. Oscar was very professional and explained everything. Because of Oscar and the easy way to make an appointment’ sears home repair was awarded 5 stars.

Fixed quickly but want to give a zero for flooding my kitchen. He never checked to see if waterline in fridge was tight and not leaking.

Your prices are just ridiculous. You quoted me $980 to fix my washer which I ended up doing for $100 in parts and finished the job in 20 minutes.

Came as promised and on time. Within 5 minutes of his evaluation, he knew what was wrong and fixed my oven. His visit was less than 1/2 hour. It didn't cost me a cent due to my warranty. Yes, I am very pleased!

    Edit*
There is no one to speak to. The responses are AI and there is no human to contact or speak to. Just a fair warning. My advice is to call a local business, I did yesterday and there was someone at my house within the hour. Also cheaper. Last year we had the same problem and I decided to give Sears another chance against my better judgement.

Nobody ever showed up, I received updates the whole day but nobody ever came.
