Plumbing reviews in Indianapolis, Indiana

This company is a joke. They have zero customer service. We were given this company to use by our home warranty company and called them multiple times, left messages on the emergency line and they wouldn’t return any of our calls back. We have two small children and were without water for 24 hours until our home warranty company gave us another option. Don’t waste your time.

Id give negative stars if I could. I was recommended this company by my home warranty. Showed up late for estimate. Then never came back to do the work. But submitted invoices to warranty company that work was completed. Nothing has been fixed but they made sure to collect a check. Definitely avoid this company as they are only out to scam people.

This company should receive NEGATIVE stars and should not be in business as it seems their business (if you read reviews here and the BBB) is to use Home Warranty Companies as a way to collect deductibles while doing no competent work. It is a scam, and I do not say something like this lightly as I would not throw that word around if I didn't believe it. If you read the other reviews here, you will have read our story. Absolutely disgraceful. DO NOT USE THEM. They will take your money and your time, and leave you with exactly the same plumbing problems you began with, plus the wonderful bonus of less money, less time, and more stress. JUST AWFUL. Please beware.

They were sent through HSA Home Warranty. Both companies are a joke. They were fixing a leaking pipe on my septic plumbing in the basement. It took about 3 days to get it fixed. Now I find as its downpouring rain that they did not seal the new pipe after they ran it outside. I have about 20 gallons of water in my basement and have had to temporarily seal it with bathtub caulking.

$100 bucks to put holes in my drywall to "detect the leak". Refused to wait around and see where leaks were coming from. Told me "you'll see where they're coming from and call us back when you do". I ended up finding the leak and repairing it myself. Terrible scheduling issues (waiting five hours before someone showed up), rude on the phone and seemed more interested in charging me and getting out of there.
Charged me an additional $150 to repair a small portion of drywall and now I have a drywall contractor telling me they did it wrong and will have to pay a second time. Save yourself the time and money and just hire someone instead of going through the home warranty. -
Horrible, lazy service. Do not use them by choice. I requested service with my home warranty company, I got an email that premier plumbing would be contacting me. No one contacted me, so I called them. Made an appointment for this morning between 8-12. No one showed up. I called again. Moved it between 1-6. Guy showed, was very rude from the beginning. I told him there was an issue with the valve. He proceeded and looked at it. Says what di you want me to do? I said fix it. I have no pressure. He beat the hell out of the valve, says sign here. It's fixed. Now the valve is dripping! Got water pressure but no way of shutting the valve off if needed. I argued stating the valve needed replaced. He says what di you want me to do. I said I want you to leave. Your a jerk and you need to go now. So now I will have to have a new plumber come out tomorrow. You best believe it won't be from here.

Stay far away from this “business.” This place is a scam. Rude, unprofessional. Never answers the phone. When I asked, he said “we get thousands of calls a minute, so we can’t answer the phone.” ?!Tried to tell us they don’t make 40 gallon water heaters so he tried to squeeze in a 50 gallon tank and that he had to modify pipes but it wouldn’t be to code. That’s when we told him to leave our property and he didn’t finish the job. But then he submitted a report to the home warranty that he did finish and tried to scam them for money.

Don't use this company. It was assigned to me by my warranty. They chrage me $400 to do a leak detection wich was going to be covered for my warranty. They send a subcontractor to do the leak detection and I had to pay him $295 out of my pocket because they didn't notify him that he didn't have to charge me. I called my warranty immediately to let them know and someone from premier inc call me right away to let me know they were going to Send me a check next day for the $295. She even told me she wasn't able to Send it the same day because the mail was already out for that day. Now a week after I call them to let them know I have not received the check and they say there is a process for my refund to be approved, and that it was my fault because I paid the money to their subcontractor. They told me they didn't know how long it was going to take for the check to be sent, but I'm sure they already receive the $400 my warranty pay to them for doing nothing. I am even still waiting for the quote on the repair.

Upon reading the reviews, it looks like I got the exact type of service that this company wants to provide.....1 star. Typical story here. Set up through home warranty company, was rude on the phone, no showed the first appointment, and then ignored my calls the next day. They did finally call me to tell me that they wouldn't be able to facilitate my request. Looks like we dodged a bullet with these guys.

If I could give this company a zero star rating I would. They were assigned to me through my home warranty. First of the didn't come in the time window they said they would. 2nd he he took all but 1 minute to look at where my pipes were leaking. Then preceded to tell me that my crawl space was too small to work in and it would be a all day . So he refused to do it. At that point I was without water for 4 days. I think he made his mind up as soon as he seen my crawl space. Then he said he would call another company to see if they would be willing to do it, which never happened. He also said whoever he called would tell me the same. The next day we got a hold of another company, they came out and said it would be no problem to get in the crawl space and get it fixed . Ive never seen such poor customer service in my life as i did from Premier Plumping. Sry so long of a comment but I'm highly upset.

I relocated to Indy a couple years ago for Roche and finally bought my dream house on the Redneck Riveria in Lawrence circa fall / 2018.
During my home inspection, we ran all the faucets, dishwasher and washing machine to confirm the sewer system was solid. Three months after moving in, I had a major clog and the first plumber failed to resolve the issue. It was clearly the worst case scenario for a new home owner as I was reading for war with planet earth.
Having the benefit of hand digging several sewer lines and septic tanks, I entered the endeavor with much experience. And, while Premier Plumbing was recommended by my home owner's warranty policy, I consulted many others (including a family friend) and only Premier was willing to take on the challenge for less than 10K cash up front.
My sewer issue was unfortunately extensive and I likely would have walked away from the property if not for Jerry. Because of the requisite permitting requirements, the project was delayed (not to mention the weather). While Jerry might be a captain, I worked with several others on the staff and all were welcome in my home.
While my family and business colleagues suggested suing everyone except for God, it was Jerry who maintained a positive attitude and focused on resolving the sewage impediment.
In the end Premier had the staff, the tools, and the expertise to resolve the biggest problem of my life at a fraction of what it would have caused with other contractors. And, no other contractor could have done it faster.
I regret that others have had a lesser experience as Premier Plumbing saved my house.

This was the company I was directed to call through my home warranty. I had water streaming out from under my kitchen sink cabinet. The technician came in, visually "assessed" the situation for all of three minutes and determined it was a grandiose problem with the drain pipes under my floor (and definitely not in the wall). He spoke to a huge, costly project ($1k-2k). I got a second opinion from another plumber: he watched where the water was coming from and determined it was probably a problem with the drain pipe in the wall. He opened up a small section of drywall, and sure enough, the drain pipe was so old and rotted, it was not attached to its neighbor. Water had been pouring into the wall. He fixed the issue then and there for a reasonable price (~$350).
I would not trust the smooth-talking "plumbers" from Premier Plumbing: they didn't seem to know what they were talking about and just wanted to push costly and unnecessary projects. The other reviews on the BBB seem to echo my experience with them. -
I had standing water in my basement and needed my line snaked. This is the plumber that was sent out to my home by my home owners warranty insurance through Sears. I told him that in the past the drain had been snake through the drain in the basement. He insisted on taking my toilet up to snake from there. I told him several times to use the drain in the basement. He was not able to get the drain clean and I had to call another plumber who was able to get it done. After paying my required fee of 60.00 he tried to

get me to pay another 125.00 for taking my toilet up. I have disputed this fee, due to his lack of knowledge, quick to access the problem but was incorrect. I ended having another plumber come and snake the drain in the basement. This company is dishonest. He said I signed for him to go through my toilet when in fact he had me thinking I was signing for the required 60.00 fee. I would not recommend Premier Plumbing to anyone. -
I had a leaky drain and was introduced to this company through a home warranty. Stay away from this company. The phone handler is rude. Their advice is not logical. Jerry was nice to talk to, but he had a few people under his watch that knew very little about plumbing. Our problem was never fixed and we ended up going elsewhere to fix the problem.

Home warranty assigned this unprofessional, unethical plumber to fix a gas leak at my place of residence. He arrived 2 hours late, no call on the first initial visit. It didn’t appear that he even assessed any repairs needed. He Sat in his truck in my driveway for approximately 45 minutes. He claimed to be waiting for an authorization from the Home Warranty. He stated that once Home Warranty gives him authorization to repair, he will call to schedule another visit. After a day or so, we reached out to home warranty who verified the authorization had been given to complete the repairs. Finally got a hold of this creep to schedule. Next day, Same thing. He didn’t show up in the timeframe discussed. Once he arrived, he said the same thing that he needs authorization first to repair not knowing I already knew he had the authorization already. He left, we paid someone else out of pocket to do the repairs. He then shows up unannounced to pretend to be ready to do some actual work and we gladly asked him to leave. Do Not let this guy into your home. He is not trustworthy nor does he value anyone else’s time. He’s deceitful and his work ethic sucks. I’d give zero stars if I could!

I just want to echo what the other 1 star reviewers have said here. This company was assigned by my home warranty company as well, and they did not know what they were doing and were charging fees without even knowing if the fee would be required (see below).
Technician comes over for leaking water heater, spends 2 minutes looking at it, and concludes that it definitely has to be replaced. Costs $100 for him to come out and do that, which is not covered by the home warranty. Warranty company calls and says they will replace the water heater, but there may be additional fees charged by the provider, Premier Plumbing.
Call Premier Plumbing and ask what additional fees are associated with the installation. They say they have to redo the pipes associated with the water heater. Well that's fine, except they don't even know who is calling at this point: they just automatically add a charge to redo pipes associated with the water heater, even if they were installing the exact same water heater or didn't need to redo it! I even asked how they could know that they have to redo the pipes when they didn't know who was calling, and the lady on the phone just stumbled over her words; it was obvious this was a standard practice for them to just say pipes need to be redone and assume the homeowner will pay for it.
After all this, I take another look at the water heater and realize that it was actually a leak from an adjacent item, not the water heater. Do NOT use this company. -
I would give a zero star if possible.
We paid the plumber (chose him through the warranty's network) the deductible of $100, which is all we thought we'd have to pay. Plus we paid a $6 fee just to pay him. I was told he'd be out to our house between 8-12. He didn't show up till 330pm. He was at my house for five minutes. 10 seconds of that was him "diagnosing" our water heater. The rest of the time he was sitting in his van writing a report. He never gave me a copy of the report nor a copy of the receipt. He didn't even remove any parts of the water heater. All he said was, "oh yeah. There's no fixing this. You need a new one.". I said, "so will you be coming back to my house to install the new one and all I'll have to pay you is the $106 today?" Him, "that's right. I'll be out here to fix it, my name is Jerry steel(with premier plumming). We'll give you a call Monday to schedule something." Tuesday rolls around. No phone call. I call them back and ask about it. They tell me I need to call the insurance company because I have to agree to the terms and give them permission to proceed. I called HMS home warranty. They tell me that the plumber's report says I need all new electrical and all new pipes ran and that we'd have to pay another 4-500 dollars for them to fix it. I'm wondering how the plumber even came to this conclusion when he literally did nothing. So, I don't agree. I called my uncle who is an HVAC technician and he came to look at it. He actually took things apart and determined it could be fixed by replacing the upper and bottom heating element and thermostat. We went to Lowe's, paid 28 dollars for parts, replaced it and what do you know? We have hot water, and everything Jerry steel said was a lie. I then tried to call premier plumbing to tell them the situation and how I would like a refund because Jerry misdiagnosed my water heater, tried to charge me more, lied to me, and he was very late. I wasted my whole day waiting for him and couldn't even reach anyone to ask about when he'd arrive. The whole situation is very shady. I would still like a refund of $106, and I would never recommend their company to anyone. They need reported to the BBB. -
The plumber never responded to my service request through my home warranty company and was late to both scheduled times despite a ridiculous time window. He failed to diagnose the problem correctly and when I called the company they claimed that we would have to put in a new service request through the home warranty company and pay the service fee again to fix the problem if the problem required a different part.
Do not use this company for your plumbing problems. -
You all should see the reviews by now and know that this is an "avoid at all cost" company. I believe it is run and owned by one person but it's a horrible waste of money and time.
I was referred, like most, from my warranty company. Person came out 2 months ago and collected my 100.00 doing nothing but saying it's a broken pipe and not covered. He didnt look at it or examine it, just flat out said.
Two months later, my entire plumbing backed up. Referred to this same company and same guy who showed up and said he didnt have the right equipment and would come the following morning at 8:00am. 9:00 am shows up and I call with no response. He texts me at 930 stating he needs to sleep because he worked all night and would be by 6 hours later. Needless to say he didnt show. Called warranty and they got him to finally come, he still had the wrong equipment and never said a word. Just left.
Got another plumber thru a different home warranty company and they were 5 star. Fixed the problem and cost half the money.
This is not just a reflection on Premier plumbing alone but on the Warranty company that contracts with this incompetent company. They charge the most monthly and highest copay yet let this kind of a plumbing company service you. Btw, warranty company never gave me another alternative.
Look elsewhere for your plumbing and your warranty company. Found a different warranty company that gave me an amazing plumbing company and restored my plumbing
I strongly recommend you avoid this plumbing company at all costs and if your home warranty company contracts with them, then find a new warranty company as well. -
I was assigned Premier Plumbing by my home warranty company when I lost hot water in my home. I submitted the request on Saturday 6/23, and the warranty company told me to expect a call in 24-48 hours because it was a weekend. I didn't hear anything from them Monday so I called them on Tuesday and was told the earliest they could have anyone out to look at it was Friday 6/29.
The plumber came on Friday (so far 7 days without hot water) and asked about my garbage disposal for some reason, and this may be a miscommunication between the home warranty company and the plumber, but the request I pulled up on my phone clearly said Water Heater. The plumber looks at the water heater, eyeballs it for 5 seconds and says it's broken and needs replaced. Ok, no big deal. He said he would order a new one and then we'd set up a time for them to repair once it came in.
I waited over the weekend, and after not hearing anything for a few days (I believe I called the next Friday, 7/6) I am told by the receptionist that the plumber lost the information about the water heater - the model number, serial number, brand, etc. And they asked me for the information. Not only that, but when I asked why they didn't contact me sooner asking for the information that they lost, I was told that they were closed for the 4th (understandable) but also the 5th and 6th of July - but for some reason still answered the company phone? At this point, I was 14 days without hot water.
So, I got her the information and was told they would order it. I called my home warranty and asked for a new contractor and was asked to wait it out because if I got a new one, the process would have to start all over again - but if nothing got done in the next few days I could call the home warranty again. I was on the phone every day of the next week checking progress and making sure things were getting done. I was told the water heater was ordered. And then I was told that it was ready, but the receptionist needed to call to see if it was ready for pickup.
The next day, I called again and spoke to a man on the phone who was much more rude than the usual receptionist . He told me he would call me back in an hour and let me know if the heater was on the delivery truck. I called back in an hour and 10 minutes and he very rudely told me that he hadn't called yet and that HE would call me back. In a few hours they called me back later in the afternoon and scheduled the water heater replacement for Friday 7/13.
On Friday, we get a call and are told that the plumber would not make it out, but could be at our house as early as next Wednesday. It has been 21 days without hot water. If we waited until Wednesday it would have been 26 days without hot water.
I called the home warranty and complained extensively about the service provider, who has been the worst I have ever worked with. They assigned me a new plumbing company - who came out the next day (on a Saturday) and that plumber actually inspected the water heater and was able to get it working within 20 minutes. He said it will still need to be replaced and I was told he could be out early next week. That plumber is currently replacing my water heater. It took 3 days compared to Premier's 14 days (or 19 days by the time they actually would have done the job - assuming they wouldn't cancel again.)
Not only will I never use this company again, I will make sure all my friends and family who are homeowners in the Indianapolis area never use this company so that they don't get jerked around for weeks like I did. The rudeness and lack of professionalism is almost comedic, and they fact that they are still in business is damn near a crime. -
I will preface by saying that my experience may have just been a one-time thing. Based on other reviews I would question if that is true.
I was assigned this company via my home warranty like many others. They were gracious enough to come out to check my water heater two days after Thanksgiving, which I was grateful for!
From there everything went downhill. The tech said that I should get a call on the following Monday to have a follow scheduled. Didn't get a call on Monday.
Attempted to call on Tuesday and didn't get anyone. Called through home warranty, and finally got movement on their end. Unfortunately learned that they had to order the new water heater, which would take 5-7 business days to be delivered. First off.. You can run down to the local lowes and buy one that was similar type and configuration (40gal natural gas). Not sure why one had to be ordered.
So I thought, maybe they were getting an exact replacement from the manufacturer. NOPE. Different manufacture and the box had "Home Depot" on the side of it... Soooo I'm a little skeptical.
Moving on from that I finally get a call this monday letting me know they could put it in today (wednesday) between 8am and noon. Since the call that I received to schedule I never received a call. I ended up calling them at 11:30 today, and thankfully got a hold of someone. This person let me know the tech would be there "soon". Never got any calls, the tech randomly shows up at 12:30pm, without any apology about being late, granted not that late, but still.
At this point I don't care, I just want hot water. So I let the tech into the garage to do the swap. 5-10mins into working on the old water heater he is on his phone taking a personal call talking about cars. OK.
He finally got the old water heater out and managed to scoot it to the driveway and tipped it over and let it slam onto the driveway. I assume to let all the water out that wouldn't come out the drain. Thankfully it didn't leave any damage on the driveway.
Then the tech proceeded to move the new water heater into it's place. Unfortunately he didn't remove a part of the gas line and ended up denting the outer shell against it (in picture). Purely cosmetic, but still.
He then took a 30 minute break in his truck. It was like 20 degrees F, so I can kind of understand, but it seemed like a long break to take. After struggling with the gas inlet and outlet as well as the water connections, everything was finally connected and working.
Overall the whole process of replacement with the tech seemed unorganized, and unfocused. I also noticed the tech making numerous random negative comments to himself while he was working.
Overall the whole experience has been highly unprofessional and embarrassing on their part. How can a business run like this?
I would not recommend this company to any.
