Doug was great to work with! We appreciated his honesty and trustworthiness throughout the process of replacing our HVAC system. He was able to get us a quote quickly, and then replaced the whole system two days later. We would definitely use him again and will recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

Eric was very pleasant to work with. He listened to me when I explained the problem. He asked questions and was thorough in his assessment. He explained what he was doing and why and what the expected results were. He took his time and made sure things were correct before leaving. We engaged in some pleasant conversation while he was working. He made sure I was satisfied with his resolution and knew to reach out if any further problems arise. All in all I felt good about this experience.

Anthony was very knowledgeable and approachable in his position. He was happy to answer and questions as well as clarify in “my words” to understand. He is a top notch employee of Bassett!

Had routine service on my furnace and was informed about a flue problem from furnace to chimney. Josiah explained problem clearly and ordered parts to fix the problem as soon as possible. Josiah was very professional and personable. Would highly recommend Bassett services for your furnace needs!!

Today was my first time working with Bassett and to say I’m glad I chose them is an understatement. We recently moved to Plainfield and want to connect with a company in the area for all our repairs and maintenance. I called when I noticed an error code on my furnace. Kayla answered the phone right away and got me scheduled for same day service. Less than 20 minutes later Patrick M was at my front door. He was professional, courteous, and very patient with all my questions and my toddler and golden retriever “helping” with the diagnostic. He quickly identified the issue, fixed it, and even did a general check of the unit overall to make sure my young family was set up well for the coming winter. This kind of care is what distinguishes service companies from the rest of the bunch. I think we just found our new go-to company for all our plumbing and HVAC needs!

The technician we had was friendly and was willing to wait for me to get home as I got stuck in traffic.

However, my problem wasn’t fixed, he charged me 184$ and I still didn’t have heat. He got a salesman to come and quote us a new furnace.

After a little digging I was able to get my furnace to kick back on and it seems to be running just fine now.

I pay for the subscription for cheaper work and felt like I got the runaround trying to just sell me a furnace.

Great person. Bryce was excellent in his communications, remaining in touch with me late after hours to get me through the membership process, and he was still able to get my furnace replaced first thing in the morning.

Very affordable, and extremely punctual. Jordan came out for both the initial quote as well as the work itself, and he was extremely friendly and personable both times. They got everything done in one day, and their prices are very fair! We will definitely be using them again if we have electrical needs in the future!

Josiah went above and beyond his service call here! He not only addressed the issue at hand, but also discovered a breach and implemented a fix pronto. Kudos to a job well done!

Thomas was very professional and efficient. He completed the service maintenance on our furnace and reviewed the results with us. He was very detailed on the service and with the report.

Tom Darnell was awesome. He fully checked everything with our HVAC and found multiple problems. Everything was covered under warranty. We really appreciate him being so thorough and not recommending anything we don’t need.

The electrician did a great job and took care of everything I was expecting. I'm a little more concerned about the general process. Two things. At the very end of the inspection visit, I reminded the analyst that I wanted to do something with the florescent light in the laundry closet. He said it was probably a bad ballast. He said you could retrofit it with an LED system (I think) that would be cheaper than hanging the new fixture I had bought. I told him to add that and I thought I saw him do that. When the electrician came out, he couldn't find that on the order. Fortunately, your electrician tried a new tube that I had and it solved the problem. (Would have SWORN I already did that!) I want to make sure I wasn't charged for that. Secondly, the prepayment I made was supposed to be 50% of the total. When the final bill was presented, it was around $60 more than the prepayment. I'd like an explanation of that also. To be clear, I am NOT dissatisfied with either part of the process, I just want to understand.

Hali answered all my questions, explaining every detail. I was very pleased with the service and value. Bassett has been an incredible company to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them.

We have worked with many Bassett technicians at this point and they have all been absolutely wonderful. So thankful for this company, their standards, and their customer service!

Our heat went out in the middle of the night when it was -10°. Austin R. came to fix it, he was very personable, called and let me know his eta, explained everything thoroughly and was quite patient while I was writing everything down so I could explain it to my husband. Everything was working great when he left, I was so relieved it could be fixed in one visit due to the temps.

Severely overpriced electrical work (4x), do not recommend.

Reached out because we had an urgent need to get an electrician out to wire 230V to our new well pump being installed. We have been without water for a few days due to a well failure and are getting a new well drilled. While making the appointment, I confirmed with the service rep multiple times that we would be able to get the work required done same day and she assured me that - yes, they could do the estimate and work same day.

They sent their electrician out first thing in the morning and he gave us an estimate for $1600 and said they could do the work in 3 days at the earliest. We called another large HVAC + electrical provider in the area and they sent 2 guys out same day and are completing the same scope of work for $430. Really disappointing for these companies to prey on folks that may not know better or are in dire situations.

Full disclaimer that the electrician they sent out was a really kind guy who was clearly knowledgeable and this review in no way reflects on him.

My house is old.
The pipes are starting to become corroded. My upstairs sink and bathtub drain extremely slow.
After multiple visitations, an unholy amount of hours spent on the phone with complaints. My family now owes $30,000 and my pipes are still garbage, in addition to my upstairs bathroom being completely unusable.
They have ignored multiple requests for them to fix what they had broke in the name of "repairing my plumbing."
Do NOT go through this company. Hire a trusted friend who knows plumbing. I don't even like writing reviews online. This is the first company in a long time that has prompted me to warn others to avoid.

I mean, we’re in need of $14,000 worth of electrical work but our technician, Tyler Stephens was awesome. Explained everything to us in great detail. Bassett probably needs to give him a fat raise.

Extremely pleased with this tech who was polite, explained questions I had and explained ways to update my system and reasons it would be good in my particular situation. Took care of the filter and explained problems that could occur. Very professional. He should be commended.
