Dayton Heating and Air Conditioning is the best. They know how to take care of their customers. I had a ton of questions and they were quick to come to my property, give me a quote, and help me understand what needed to be done. The customer service alone, is a 12/10. I don’t know a lot about the world of HVAC, but to have people you trust is such a good feeling. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs HVAC work done and want reliable, fair, and trustworthy people on their side.

Had two service calls completed by Dalton due to a struggling AC unit.
Both appointments got scheduled same day and the techs seemed nice and knowledgeable, but that's about the end of the good experience.
Tech 1 did nothing but clean the outside unit with the hose, and upsell me their annual membership. No diagnostics, no refrigerant check. He checked temperature at register before and after and noted that it dropped a few degrees and said the AC should be able to keep up now - not the case.
Tech 2 comes out and actually does some diagnostics. Notes coolant levels are low - options are to add refrigerant or replace whole AC system. He mentions how they are phasing out of the R410A refrigerant that my system uses so it is getting expensive. Dalton charges $400 for first pound and $200 per subsequent. A quick Google did show the r410a phase out as of 1/1/25 so I trusted the tech and decided to try the refrigerant vs a whole new system - knowing it may be temporary, but with an 80 degree house and a 12 week old baby options were limited. While he was doing the fill I called some other local places since the price seemed high - local competitors are charging $90/lb.
Dalton is performing highway robbery with their refrigerant prices. And this is after paying $150/year for their membership that results in a 20% discount. No membership = $500 for 1 pound of refrigerant - 5000% markup over cost.
Tech justified it by saying they remove the $50 service call fee and it just gets included in refrigerant cost. This still puts them over double price of competitor even if paying competitor trip charge.
Plenty of competition in the area - take your business elsewhere or get taken for a ride by Dalton. I chose Dalton over the big name HVAC companies due to the upselling horror stories you hear about the big guys. Turns out this was a wolf in sheep's clothing. -
The tech was very friendly and did a great job cleaning and starting up our fireplace.

I had a good experience with Dalton’s installing my sink and disposal.
