Janie was excellent to work with from start to finish. Highly communicative during the scheduling process. At the appointment, she was knowledgeable, thorough, and got our gas fireplace working like new.

Jane and Jen are amazing ladies!! They were efficient and very professional and polite. I don’t know how Jane scurries around on the roof so easily!! They left my home clean and ready to start enjoying the fireplace season. I definitely recommend their service!!!

Being new to central Iowa we turned to Google for recommendations on companies that could inspect/clean our chimney. Talk about service, they came out the very same day and we had the pleasure of Janie, the, the owner, come to service our home. She was amazing and so knowledgeable. She took care of all of our repairs and cleaning and made us feel very comfortable using our new fireplace. Can't recommend this company enough. Top notch service!!

We have used Alpine Chimney Sweep twice in the last few years. First, when we had Janie and her team clean an old chimney that had not been used for many years and then insert a beautiful Regency wood burner into the original fireplace opening.
Most recently, we have moved to a different home where there is an old wood burner that needed attention. Jana did a thorough assessment of the burner (inside) and chimney (outside) before letting us know the burner was probably not safe to use. We have trusted Alpine twice now and most recently enjoyed Jana’s fun personality and high level of energy and expertise in helping us make a decision about the old wood burner. We recommend them to all our friends who need a chimney sweep or are looking for an update to an old fireplace.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the service and professionalism displayed by Josh and the other technician in our home. The service was highly satisfactory, ensuring that we will remain lifelong customers. Given that we had to replace our furnace and water heater, I was uncertain about what to expect. Nevertheless, their performance was exceptional, and I strongly recommend that this technicians receive a bonus or recognition.

Everyone I've dealt with at Modern Heating and Air has been fantastic. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, the gentlemen who have come out to diagnose and fix problems have done a great job and helped me to understand what the problem is and what the options are to fix it. They lay out the issues clearly and I don't feel like they're trying to upsell me on anything. Everyone who has come into my house has been respectful and professional. The Modern team installed a new Lennox AC and Heater last week. Sam, Loren and Aaron were professional and fast. Sam kept me posted on progress as they working and provided a "tour" of my AC. Aaron gave me the same "tour" of my new furnace. Great people to work with. Shout out to Nick who helped me navigate the home warranty maze! Much appreciated. The whole team was outstanding.

Corbin at Modern Heating and Air was great to work with when we researched and purchased our furnace and air units in the Fall of 2024. He was here quickly and presented the options for us well, and didn't push us one way or the other until he was asked. The installers also worked quickly and did a great job. We did have a gasket leak on the humidifier, but they came and repaired that very quickly. I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

Our furnace went out and we scheduled an appointment with Modern Heating and Cooling. They came right out and were very professional. The day of installation on our new furnace It’s was Sam and Josh who installed it. They BOTH were diligent and very knowledgeable about the process and system. They were on time and got the install done in a timely manner. Any questions I had they answered with a great level of knowledge and walked me through the information I needed to know in great detail. I unequivocally recommend Sam and Josh.

We have used modern heating and cooling to install HVAC systems in two different homes. We worked with Corbin both times. He helped talk us through our needs. We had the luxury of shopping around both times. They were hands down the best offer both times.

Additionally, we have needed service on systems they did not install and they are amazing! They are fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are so thankful for the peace of mind working with them gives us!

Modern Heating & Air is absolutely great! Our tech Jordan is professional and personable. I really appreciate that he took time to explain what he was doing during the consultation, and matched solutions to the problems we had. We were able to get fixed up quick and with excellent service!

We had 2 furnaces and AC units installed recently. Out of 4 quotes we received, Corbin was the best by far. He didn't feel pushy, offered us more options than other companies, responded to all the questions I had very quickly, and provided an outstanding offer. Aaron and Darin did a great job installing the equipment. They were friendly, courteous, and left our basement cleaner than when we arrived. We are very pleased with our experience!

Jordan from Modern Heating and Air may be the best tech I've encountered. He was extremely thorough and walked me through everything he was checking. While diagnosing the issue, he communicated where the cooling levels should be and gave several options we could try. He fixed the issue quickly and showed me again where the new levels were at. This gave us a ton of confidence that the repair was completed accurately. Could not recommend him enough.

Lake was knowledgeable, respectful and had a great attitude! Definitely need more like him in the trades industry!! Definitely will be recommending him to friends and family!

I cannot say enough good things about Modern Heating and Air. From the moment I set up my appointment, their commitment to excellent customer service was clear. After using their automated system, I immediately received a personal phone call from an associate who confirmed all my information and the appointment details. She went above and beyond to answer all my questions, making sure I felt completely informed.
Just as they promised, I received a text confirming my appointment with a photo of my technician, Max, before he even arrived. This was a fantastic personal touch that made me feel safe and prepared.
Max was absolutely fantastic! He was incredibly respectful, patiently answered all my questions, and even educated me on aspects of my own HVAC system I wasn't aware of. He also presented a great special that would be beneficial for any future service calls, setting me up in a system that will proactively schedule my next maintenance.
Following the visit, I received an email with a comprehensive summary of what was covered during the service and my receipt. Modern did a fantastic job. Corbin is an excellent salesman, he performed all the calculations other salespeople refused to do and designed a system perfectly sized for our house.
The install team worked quickly and carefully and had our whole system setup and working by 4 in the afternoon.
We couldn’t be more happy with our heat pump system and would recommend them to anyone.
