Reviews of local pros in Waukee, Iowa

Built me new retaining walls and a new patio area and rock landscaping. Extremely pleased with the results and open communication of work being done with agreed to times and dates. Highly recommend.

We are very happy with the service quality, and responsiveness provided to us by Brilliant Borders. They have installed drainage, two retain walls, concrete edging around the home, along with plant & tree installation. I am on their lawn maintenance program which has helped my lawn look green and healthy as well as help with small problems as they arise. Definitely worth every penny!

We have hired Brilliant Borders to landscape 3 houses (yes, we move too much) & each experience has been great. Their concrete edging has so many options & colors & adds so much to your curb appeal.

No need to worry if you`ll get quality and value for your money. These 2 young men Koltyn and Levi worked non stop for 3 days and what we got looked like a page out of a magazine. Excellent attitudes toward their work, but never too busy to answer a question and to give a smile. This is what a quality company is all about! Kudos to Jason for taking our needs, we took his suggestions to heart and no regrets. Excellent people to work with!

We are extremely satisfied with the final product provided to us by Brilliant Borders. We utilized their hard scaling services. Jason communicated with us in a consistent and timely manner, and when there was an opportunity to move us up earlier in the schedule that was shared with us. Our yard had only a small amount of wear from machinery on it, but nothing that didn’t go away within the week. The landscaping has made our house stand out compared to our neighborhood, and we get compliments almost every day. We are VERY HAPPY

Last year Brilliant Borders installed rock and a few hostas in a wet spot in our backyard. They did a very nice job! But this year I wanted more hostas! Jason so kindly agreed to put more in for us - digging around rocks and landscape fabric. It looks so great and i am so appreciative of Jason's efforts to improve the area even more. This is a company that will go the "extra mile" for you. You will be happy working with Brilliant Borders.

Jason was very helpful and responsive and the crew did a great job!

Really great experience overall. Jason was extremely thorough throughout the entire process, my quote was itemized and easy to understand as I selected which options I wanted to go with, and they delivered on exactly what they said they would w/out countless change orders. On time, at budget, and overcommunicated every step of the way. Even the folks at Kings Material where I went to pick out my materials said wonderful things about Brilliant Borders. They said I was in good hands, and I was.

Jason was great to work with. He took me changing my mind about aspects of the design very well and listened to what I wanted to change. He was very flexible. He came up with a beautiful design for my large backyard garden. I can’t wait to see it grow as time goes by. I highly recommend Brilliant Borders!

Everyone at Brilliant Borders was amazing to work with! We recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping services. We utilized their services for concrete edging, and could not be happier with the end result. Jason was very responsive to all our questions and stayed in contact throughout the process. He and his team were so easy to work with and you could tell they took pride in their work!

We’ve had work done by Brilliant Borders in the past - concrete edging - and were very happy with their service and product performance. Last year we had Brilliant Borders take over our lawn fertilizing, weed control, etc. for the first time. We were very happy with the results and are continuing their services again this year. It’s great to not worry about our lawn maintenance all season long.

We are very pleased with the work that Brilliant Borders recently did for us. Our projects were completed in a timely manner and were within the budget quoted to us. Following our original consultation, we received a quote within 24 hours and updated quotes were provided quickly as needed. As the work progressed, any questions or concerns we had were answered quickly and professionally, and we were very pleased with the frequent communication and updates we received. We highly recommend Brilliant Borders!

Ben takes GREAT care of our landscaping needs......
We have had many lawncare services in our past many years. He is by far the best with decision making and executing all we desire.
Can't go wrong with Ben and Brilliant borders.

We had Brilliant Borders do our original landscape edging last spring and couldn't be happier with it! We did have one small crack happen and the whole team was very accommodating and quick to do the repair. Instead of fixing just the one cracked section, Jason had the crew replace the whole strip of edging so it would all be uniform. Great customer service, highly recommend!

We keep coming back to Brilliant Borders. Jason is great to work with! We had them replace our old landscaping bed borders over the last couple years. They show up on time every day and get the work done. They agreed to some of my last second changes without any complaining and cleaned everything up. They left notices on my neighbors door apologizing for the dust from cutting the limestone and my neighbors said they really appreciated that. We will continue to use them for any project in the future

This is our second year with Brilliant Borders for lawn treatments. They always let us know when they’re coming and what treatment is being applied. The guys that do the treatment are fast and professional. Best of all, our lawn looks great!

I had a small job, just resealing our concrete landscaping borders, but Kirsten was able to schedule it the next day after my initial call since they already had workers in town. Thanks Kirsten and Kim for being so helpful.

I have used Brilliant Borders for several years for lawn care for my home , and they have always done a fantastic job. Recently, I was in a bind for an investment property that I needed to have the backyard cleared of huge piles of gravel, sand, and other debris and grass seed planted before it got too cold. I contacted the owners to see if they would have time to help me out. They met me that afternoon and Leroy personally completed the project over the next two days and it looks amazing. 10/10 for the work product and customer service! Highly recommend!

Jason and the team were absolutely fantastic with their communication and quality of work.

Jason came with recommendations and kept my wife and I in the loop with timelines for our project.

We'll be reaching out to Brilliant Borders for any landscaping needs we have in the future!

Great experience! It started with a retaining wall and brick edging around our flower beds. We decided to do our patio, then we decided to expand the patio, along with a grill station, 2 large planter boxes, with 2 water barrel platforms. Jason is the best, listening to us in what we were wanting. The projects turned out fabulous! We enjoy working with Jason and would highly recommend!!
