Hands-down the best landscape company we've worked with. I am simply shocked at how responsive and professional they've been on multiple projects. They clearly understand the value of communication when working with customers.

We had a rather large water drainage issue that required extensive work. They not only helped us think through the right technical approach for addressing the issue, but also connected us with the city of Urbandale to obtain a storm water grant to assist in funding the project.

In particular, we work with Jason Buckingham, who is incredibly responsive and helpful. At one point, he even hopped down in the hole to ensure we had a secure connection to the city drainage system. That's a committed sales person!

Jason and team recently completed a landscaping project in the easement behind our house. Communication was excellent from start to finish, everyone from office staff to on site workers were friendly and professional, and we are extremely happy with the result! The sod looks great and the seeded areas are growing well too. 5/5 - highly recommend!

We hired Brilliant Borders to come out and do an edging around our playset. They arrived to do the work a week early and completed it all in one day and it looks fabulous. Cant wait to finish the inside and enjoy it for years. We loved it so much we are actually taking up some of the existing limestone and having them do the concrete edging around it as well. Highly recommend them and Dira was so nice and very informative on what we need to do, maintenance and everything we needed to know. Thank you again for such great work. We hired brilliant borders to install a border of river rock along our fence line. Our German shepherd runs the fence line and was killing our grass. They did not install any type of barrier to keep the rocks contained and out of our neighbors yard, fully knowing the entire point of this project was due to our giant dog running back and forth several times a day. After waiting months to have the project completed, and then reaching out to brilliant borders to solve the problem, they quoted me almost $1,000 to install edging to keep the rocks on our side of the fence. We are now installing a border (purchased from Amazon) ourselves to keep the rocks out of our neighbor’s yard. I feel the need to add to this review that I’m seven months pregnant so even more upset than I would normally be about this. Our neighbors called and complained to the manager of the company several times and no solution was provided except for us to write them another check after already paying them over $4,000 to install the river rock. Will not use them in the future, and would not recommend them due to extremely poor customer service.

Brilliant Borders did a fantastic job on the ribbon for our walk way! It is just what we wanted! It's a great way to transition from rock to grass. We were able to choose our color and design for our border/ribbon. Thank you for showing up when you said you would and doing a great job.

Brilliant Borders provided excellent customer service from the jump for the drainage issues I was having around my home. They delivered the project on time, and on budget. Jason was responsive to all my questions which provided me confidence that they'd take care of my problem.

Brilliant Borders was great to work with for our retaining wall project. They were responsive, got us a very fair bid, and finished the project ahead of schedule. We will be calling them for our other landscaping projects in the future.

Often times you survey your land and over a period of time there may be some erosion— Brilliant Borders can solve this issue. Especially if you are close to water. Engineers will recommend a good quality landscaping company that could help by constructing a quality retaining wall. In review, the wall seems level with a good set back. The most important thing is the drainage to retard problems in the future. This company offered good specs, were on time, used quality materials and were very professional in taking the soil type and size into consideration. Here’s hoping for good curb appeal improvement once landscaping is complete.

The team displayed a high level of professionalism throughout the entire project. They meticulously designed and constructed our patio, ensuring every detail was attended to, from the layout to the choice of materials. The firepit they built has become a stunning focal point, perfect for gathering with friends and family. Overall, their craftsmanship and attention to detail resulted in a fantastic outdoor space that we absolutely love.

Brilliant Boarders Landscaping gets 5+ Stars. Jason observed and discussed ideas for our overgrown landscaping for work around the entire perimeter of our house. We are Extremely happy with the results. The work was thorough and the work was done by experienced personnel. I have to admit, I was surprised by how quickly the process was finished. The results were well above my expectations.
Neighbors have All given high praise with some asking for company contact info. You know it's a home run when neighbors are jealous!

Brilliant Borders did excellent work on a patio upgrade project for us. The most impressive thing (and it shouldn't be but in this day and age it was)--they were true to their word, arrived on time, worked hard each day, and created an updated outdoor space which we love at a very fair price. We definitely would use Brilliant Borders again and highly recommend them. We have also hired them for their monthly weed control offering. They are awesome!!!

We had a great experience working with Brilliant Borders this spring. We have a very steep yard and needed two retaining walls and a paved patio built. Jason was phenomenal from day one, promptly working through proposals and open to making multiple adjustments. The entire project was very reasonably priced. Their crew completed the work within a few weeks and did an excellent job. We are very happy with the whole experience and would highly recommend Brilliant Borders for any hardscaping projects!

After 4+ years of struggling with another irrigation company, my system works! Not only that, but my yard looks 10x better. Still a long way to go, but definite progress has been made.

R.J. landscaping has great attention to detail. The designer came out and did a wonderful job with listening to what we wanted our plan to be. They executed the plan when they said they would, and now our property looks amazing!!

We use RJ Lawn & Landscape to keep our yard looking healthy. When we moved in, we knew the yard could look better, but didn’t know what we needed to do. Chris came out to talk to us about our options and was very knowledgeable and helpful! Now the yard looks great!

Shenandoah Golf Course had Nate Tegtmeier and Jeremy Grefe with the Performance Turf Division of RJ Lawn & Landscape come down to aerify our greens and collars. They came organized with a map of our course and well maintained equipment to do the job. Jeremy had the equipment ready to go the night before and was at our course at first light to begin the job. They did an excellent job covering all the areas we needed aerified while being careful to avoid any irrigation heads. We would highly recommend them to any golf courses who need their service. We look forward to having them back in the fall to aerify our fairways.

Edgar completed our sprinkler start up. He was prompt and exceptionally courteous. He explained all the adjustments that we needed, and listened to questions I had. He is a great representative for the company!
