Bob is great to work with. You were able to schedule him to meet my needs. He was thorough and always pleasant to work with.

Todd, the electrician, did an outstanding job for us. He had excellent suggestions with great problem solving skills to help us customize our home as we requested. He took time to listen and answered all of our questions in order to complete numerous wish list items. I highly recommend Todd and Lynn Electric.

Came on time with prior notice of when he would arrive. Solved the problem professionally and explained how to operate the work that was done. Made sure everything was working correctly . Thanks for the great service.

Brian S. came out to give us an estimate. He was realistic and provided a great estimate. Because of this, we hired Lynn Electric to do the work. The technicians (we had to split our small jobs into two days and therefore had two technicians for reasons listed below) seem to have done a good job with the work they completed, and for that I am grateful.

That is, unfortunately where the good things ended.
1) The first technician (apparently their best tech) was not interested in cleaning up after himself. We only had small jobs (adding a new outlet in a garage, working on existing outlets, fixing light switches, etc.) to complete, so clean up wouldn't have been that difficult. Instead we found screws, plastic tubing (insulation stripped from cables), and one of his own tools left behind when he was completed. In addition to this, my 4 year old was home on the day he was working on our home. He cursed, without remorse, on three separate occasions in front of my child with no apologies or attempt to fix his language. This was EXTREMELY frustrating.
2) Lynn Electric bills hourly. This is honestly a good thing and something I appreciate. However, what they don't mention is that they also bill you for travel time to the store when they're working on your property. Despite the fact that we had an estimate completed beforehand (meaning they should have known what materials were required for the bulk of the job), the technician showed up without the proper materials required to even start adding the new outlet. They billed me for at least one additional hour when the technician should've know what materials to bring ahead of time.
3) For the two reasons listed above (mainly reason 1), we asked for a different technician to complete the other small jobs on the second day, which to me, seems understandable. Apparently the second technician lives further away though... And Lynn Electric bills you for their drive to the job site as well which I was unaware of. This means I was billed for 45 minutes of drive time. I promptly asked why this was and THEN they told me they bill for drive time to the job site. I then asked if that could be removed due to the issue with the first tech (which was a professionalism issue on their end, not mine). They would not agree to this. So I ended up paying for an additional 45 min. of "labor" that should not have been necessary.

All in all, the work they did was good work, which is why they are still getting 3 stars. However, beware of them finding extra ways to charge you for things. Make sure you ask lots of questions first about what is billable and what's not...

Lynn Electric was notably prompt and courteous in responding to my inquiry about whether the company could perform a certain residential wiring task. The company quickly provided a reasonable cost estimate. Then, without delay, the company scheduled technicians to perform the task. They arrived on time, worked in a professional manner and creatively solved unexpected problems that were due to certain hardware designs. Before leaving, they conducted a successful test of their work. Lynn Electric performed commendably from beginning to end of this project.

Lynn Electric has done some fairly extensive electrical work in my 100+ year old home and also at old rental property in Kansas City. Todd and Caleb worked for 2 days replacing my electrical box, rewiring and removing the maze of old eletrical wiring in my home and an additional 2 days at my rental property. They were completely trustworthy, worked hard all day, arrived when they said they would and completed the job beautifully. I felt I could trust them with my house key...and did. I feel so much better, knowing that my electrical service is now safe and up to date. Thank you, Lynn Electric!

A 30 foot tree fell across the power line in our backyard on Sunday. The electrical connection was pulled off the house. Todd was here on Monday and replaced the connection in just a few hours. Thanks Todd for talking me through the repair. Your speed is appreciated. I'll be back at work in my home office in the morning.

It was a pleasure working with Lynn Electric on the lighting addition at our home in Lawrence. Todd was very informative and professional when assessing the addition and he provided a reasonable bid. Martin and Rich completed the project in the allotted time and were very professional and friendly. Lynn’s use of text updates prior to arrivals and payment processing upon completion were appreciated. I will use Lynn Electric again in the future and recommend them to family and friends.

He did a great job. Being a metal garage made it mire difficult. I would highly recommend.
