I read all the great reviews and talked with a couple neighbors who also loved them. Unfortunately, we can't get someone to make it here to give us an estimate for an irrigation system. The worst was the text message I received at 7:35am letting me know he wasn't going to be in the office that day and he had completely forgot our appointment that he set with me for 11am that day. We will be moving on to a company that actually cares about and wants our business.

We chose Heritage Lawns & Irrigation to winterize/blow out our sprinkler system. We were scheduled for 7:30 am and the worker, Justin, was there early. He was professional and kind throughout the process. Will definitely give them a call back for the Spring!

Justin provided one of the best customer experiences I've had in a while. He was on time, explained everything he was doing giving me choices on what to DYI vs. have him do, and walked me through every bit of the operation of the system. We "inherited' the system from the previous owner and I hadn't been able to get it to run right which he fixed then educated me on how I could tweak each of the sprinklers and why I was having some of my issues.

He was very well versed and able to explain it to me in a way that was very easy to understand and grasp.

To top it all off he was just coming off his second vaccine shot and powering through the side effects! Very impressive. If you're looking for help on your sprinkler system look no further.

I cannot say enough about Heritage lawn! The irrigation people did an excellent job, very professional, and reasonable pricing. Jason Clarkson treats my lawn and you cannot ask for a better person! Very friendly, very knowledgable, and very professional. Heritage is not only running a business, but they also become your friend!

I saw all the great reviews, and decided that a nice lawn was worth the investment. I was very much looking forward to having a nice lawn, unfortunately, this company have been pretty unreliable with contacting me. I can’t even get somebody to come over or call me to set up getting you paid and having service started. I have received a quote, and emailed a Lacey, but that is as far as we have gotten. So far I have been told that someone would be in contact "today" twice since September 16th and still no contact. Maybe it is a good sign that they are super busy, but it is unfortunate that they don't want new customers, that means their current customers will have to pay all the bills for them.

I suppose at this point I will try to find another company to complete my lawn care, I an very disappointed and was very much looking forward to using their services, so many people have liked them. I just can't see paying a company a bunch of money up front when they can't call or return emails promptly, seems shady.

Update:

On October 2nd I finally received a call back from them, I was unable to pick up and sent an email back since it was late and I didn't want to be rude and call a cell phone back after 9pm. On the 3rd I got a call back from Matt who was the "route manager" and was informed that they were not willing to service me unless I removed my review, when I told them it was a legitimate concern, I was reminded that I wasn't even a customer yet. I till him I wasn't willing to remove the review just yet and he told me "we shouldn't work together then, this isn't a good way to start a business relationship" then said goodbye. I guess at least he tried to be professional. They obviously are too busy to accept new customers. That's what I get for trying to support local business. I would look elsewhere.

We used Heritage to shut down our sprinkler and winterize our backflow device in Dec 2016, in May 2017, when it was time to turn it back on, the system they reportedly winterized was cracked and when we inquired why water was still in the pipes they shared there was no proof that they didn't clear water and shared our system was faulty. They had replaced a part for the backflow valve and since then all Spring in 2017 the system was knocking. They returned, reviewed their work and stated our home's system was just faulty. Given the home is 18 years old, has never had prior issues and is in a fairly updated subdivision, we were sure the new noise was due to their work and not pipes or faulty systems. We changed to a new irrigation specialist to turn off the system this time and turn it back on and we received a second opinion from them and a respected plumbing company. Clearly the valves and workmanship are issues and pointed out when water runs throughout the house, the pipes are fine, it's the workmanship on the valve and backflow system they repaired. I called Heritage today to return now that we are back in season to review this and they refused to come out again since the person who answered was the person who came out previously. Therefore, my only recourse to hold the person who addressed the repair accountable now is to file formal complaints against a company who will not even return to review what they may have done wrong restricting the water flow through the valves to flow properly. Of course an irrigation specialist will ultimately address the issue of someone else's poor quality work, but this level of investment in time and cost is unfortunate and unacceptable. We lost connection today as I took the phone out of range to look and listen to the system as I described the issues, but I didn't bother calling them back after getting such a run around. The back and forth with any current or past customer is unusual and unprofessional. Just returning to look again as it's clear the issues started under their irrigation involvement is concerning and again unfortunate.

Beware of this company.

Jeremy is the best! What a laid-back, easy to work with kind of guy. Jeremy came out and assessed the leak in my irrigation system and got right on it. I was so impressed with his expertise, that I decided to ask him to assess my current set-up. He was knowledgeable and explained exactly where he would suggest changes and why. You can't do any better than Heritage Lawn and Irrigation! Thanks again Jeremy. You've got a customer for life!

I used to do my own lawn then came to a point in my life where I needed help . Called Heritage and wondered why I did not do this sooner. Always kind and knew what they were talking about. Did not try to talk me into anything my lawn didn't need. Always on time and didn't know my lawn could look so good. I thank you again Heritage for being there and so reasonable. Outstanding company!

My wife and I had an excellent experience with the service and the professionalism our provider did for us. We had ants coming in all around our house even in places we had no idea. In the matter of less than 12 hours we went from infested to all gone.

The guys always come on time, and do a great job of taking care of our sprinkler system. Today, Austin was at the door right on time, was very professional, thorough, and answered all my questions. Then he rescheduled our system to the time frame we need for our family activities. Excellent service! We highly recommend Heritage Sprinklers!

They were very nice to me. All the way from the initial bid through servicing my installed sprinkler system. The system has worked really well. Except when one of the lines broke and created a small puddle in my yard. But I called them and they came over very quickly to solve the problem. They also automatically schedule my maintenance program, which is nice. They have also been very accommodating when I need to change times.

Have used this company for several years now with great success. Recently, Michael arrived for our appointment right on time, checked our system carefully, and brought to my attention our water shutoff valve inside the house was not sealing correctly, resulting in visible drips outside; I appreciated him saying something. He reported back what needed to be done in this visit for my pre-approval of scope/cost. He even found a lost sprinkler head buried under a landscaping wall by another contractor about 10+ years ago, that was resulting in the bed under our A/C unit settling more than normal, and we agreed he would try to locate and cap off that line, which he did. Cost for this: $5. He also took about 15 minutes time to listen to our future plans for our backyard and how it would impact the sprinkler system, and we decided on a specific future plan of action for that. Cost for this: $0. He fixed the two heads that needed replacing, gave me a guided tour of the new Hydrawise smart controller they installed in December, and setup all the settings per my choices. Overall, Heritage provides great service for an always fair price, and never trying to sell me something I do not need or want. We are one very satisfied customer. Phil Murray, Olathe, KS.

We have had Heritage Lawn& Landscape blow out our sprinklers for three years now.Recently they aerated our lawn,seeing nice improvement with lawn absorbing water.Planning to have shrub/tree service. Very professional,respectful;always parking in front of the house. Service men don't give the hard sell on their services.Very appreciated. We love them and trust their employees have our best interest in mind:-) And we live near Lees Summit,Mo!!

Heritage Irrigation installed a lawn irrigation system as well as helped project manage our large whole "back" yard landscaping project. Wes was the utmost professional and listened to our concerns and presented us with the best option for our irrigation needs. The team made sure we were comfortable with how the system worked and even showed us how to adjust the sprinkler heads if we needed to.

In addition, Wes helped coordinate the sod installation and worked with our Landscaping company to ensure that everything was timed appropriately.

I have taken care of my lawn for 10 years. The majority of the time I was successful (except for figuring out when to apply fertilizer in July/August).
Anyway, I started with Heritage last fall when they core aerated and winterized my lawn. My lawn looks very healthy this spring and I look forward to a fantastic lawn this year!!
Also, about a week ago I called Heritage to see if someone could change a damaged sprinkler head. The next day, Blake was in the area and dropped by to fix the problem AND he adjusted the rest of my sprinklers.

My company, Pristine Landscapes, uses and suggests Heritage to all our clients. Heritage is NOT like your other fertilizer companies. They are a step ABOVE. While many companies use fertilizer to make the grass blades green, Heritage focuses on the overall plant health. This includes a deeper dive into your lawn than just throwing down fertilizer real quick. Soil and root health are critical to a healthy lawn. The other major thing that sets Heritage about is the customer service and honesty. They accidently treated my neighbors lawn instead of mine (the house numbers look similar, easy mistake). When I notified them, they took ownership for the small mistake and treated my lawn right away. They also opened a door of communication for our neighbors should they have any concerns/questions.

It is rare that I write reviews, but Heritage earned this review today. Pat came over as I had four sprinkler heads that mysteriously stopped working. It took a lot of investigation and it was finally determined that years ago, another company (not Heritage) planted a tree on top of our sprinkler line. As the tree grew, the roots squeezed the line and cut off the water supply to the four heads.

He, and a coworker, worked on freeing up that water line and re-routing it for over two hours until the system was in good working condition.

All of my irrigation and weed control programs go through Heritage now - you should consider the same. Thank you for all of your hard work today!

05/27/2020 UPDATE: We were assigned Stephanie DuPont. Amazing, beyond belief. Kind, professional, exact application... Highly, highly recommend Heritage. Our fourth company that we have had. Been with Heritage for years and plan to continue!!!! We have been at this address for 18 years and have had four lawn service companies. Heritage has been our choice for the last five years. They are prompt, professional, reasonable and most importantly, effective.

We've been clients for a few years now and have always had a great experience with Heritage and their technician Joey. He's been out to our house to help with broken sprinkler heads, damage done by utility contractors, the annual winterizing and to address homeowner errors with the systems. We appreciate their honesty with us and have not had any issues. Their prices are reasonable too!
