Paid for Aeration and Seeding last year and had very poor results. Called this year to sign up for additional services and asked for a refund from the seeding and was told NO.

Super happy with Demtri and all of tru green for what theyve done to get started on getting my lawn under control

TruGreen always gives us advance notice of any application which is nice.

Our lawn was a mess! I was reluctant at first to go with lawn servicing. I thought they would not deliver the quality of service I wanted. But True Green proved me wrong! Customer service and the service professionals have been friendly and receptive, prompt and effecient. They have addressed any questions or concerns I have had without issues and have delivered 100% effective results. My lawn is looking great now and the insects under control! Thank you so much True Green!!! Keep up the good work!

Just don’t do it. Save yourself the money and the time. I started using this company on Aug of 2021 with a brand new house and brand new sod. My backyard is now a brown patch of nonsense. After several people came out to fix it they finally admitted they over fertilized would “do whatever they needed to fix it”. That equaled a free aeration a service in the fall. Wholly inadequate. Not only that they insisted I prepay for another year to get this “free” service. I attempted to cancel my account yesterday and asked for a confirmation email to be sent. It never came and this morning I woke up to a new $170 charge. Total incompetence, atrocious customer service. Hours and money wasted. Just. Don’t. Do. It. Thee are plenty of reputable local lawn companies. Don’t make the mistake I did.

Very nice approach. We've never had lawn service until we had this house built. He was kind, nice and concerned for our service. Very respectful of the lawn and to us. Thank you.

TRYING TO SERVICE/CHARGE WITHOUT CONSENT.
About a week and a half ago, a representative from TruGreen called my husband to sell their services. My husband originally agreed, gave them his card info, but later canceled with them before anyone came out. The representative was rude to my husband at the end, but we thought that was the end.
TruGreen still tried to come out and service our lawn last Tuesday-ish. Thankfully, my husband works from home and stopped them and reminded them he canceled. He then got an automated text on Friday that they were coming out again for Monday (today). He kept trying to notify them not to and they started rejecting his calls. TruGreen then tried to come out again today, even though we have canceled several times.
It seems as though they are trying to service our lawn and charge our card without our consent, which has become increasingly frustrating. So my husband notified them just now if they attempt this he does not consent to payment. -
TJ did a good job today a great job I would like to have him back every time if you can schedule that. Very conscientious my friendly. And he took care of the details with good feedback. Give the man a raise he deserves it.

I was really on the fence about getting anyone to come care for our lawn at all. Usually companies cannot win me over when I’m feeling that noncommittal. But Kevin was amazing. I feel like we got a great value at a great price. I was particular about what I wanted, and they delivered. Everything felt upfront and honest. We had our first treatment last week. It was very non-intrusive! He came and left without me even being aware of it. So far, this has been a much better experience than I had anticipated. This is the kind of company that restores your faith and humanity. We’ve only had one treatment so far, but I can see improvement already. The grass is looking a little greener, and the weeds are dying. It feels good to know that I’m taking good care of my lawn.

True Green clearly out classes the competition and produces a better lawn at a lower price. Today, 9/16/25 I had my trees serviced by Brian with Tru Green. I was so impressed with his efforts. He found bugs and disease in several trees that i hadn’t seen. He treated them and said he’d check on them next month. NOTE: I want Brian to serve our trees permanently!!!!

The service man was very nice. However, I thought someone was coming to spray for army worms. You sent a guy out last week who didn't know anything about army worms. He sent pictures to his boss who said it is army worms. I don't know how they you can tell from a picture. I was told that someone would be here within 5 days to spray/granules. When will someone be here? It's been a week since I talked to your office.

Not thrilled with TruGeen service. Had dead and week spots in my lawn and had to spray for weeds myself . Service amounts to basically fertilizer and some weed control.

TruGreen is absolute garbage. Do not purchase. I get texts saying they have arrived, texts saying they’ve finished and no one ever showed up. How many times? I have no idea because I was out of town during several alleged service visits. This time I was home and no one showed. They came back out on that one and then came to seed and aerate the very same day on top of the fresh fertilizer. Brought that big wheeled aerator down between Bob’s house and mine and tore the hell out of my neighbor’s side of the property line and said nothing. Careless employees spread seed everywhere, mulched beds included. Careless employees ran an aerator wheel over my obvious sprinkler head in 2021 and said nothing. Careless employees clean off their mud shoes on my patio - can’t they do that at the shop? Unapproved tree and bush inspections followed by frequent upsell harassment. Never hire. Spread the word to people you care about. If I cost them one customer I’ve succeeded, but I hope it’s thousands. 0 stars if possible.

TruGreen applied the weed and fertilizer application today. Jordan, my TruGreen specialist, was professional, friendly ,and thorough in his application of both the weed and fertilizer. He also left a detailed explanation of the service. Jordan is a great asset to the TruGreen team. I am extremely satisfied with my TruGreen services.

This is the worst lawn care service I’ve ever had. They never show up when you’re supposed to and when they do show up, you’re not here and they did a lawn treatment with core aerating. and sliced the main line to my sprinkler system. And that was a redo because they didn’t do very well on the first one. One of the workers said he’d come back and knock out all of my dandelions he never came back.

Robert Hutton was just here to do a Horticultural Oil treatment. I didn’t know what that was, so I asked! He is so nice! He explained then left a “follow up” in his comments on my service summery they leave after every treatment! I am SO IMPRESSED! Very pleased to have TruGreen treating our yard!
I appreciate the advance announcements re: treatment, who will be arriving, and when they will be at my house! They leave a detailed report of what was done, and what I need to do for follow-up.
John covered every inch of our yard when aerating and over-seeding! And reminded me to water so the seeds can germinate.
Ophelia is so efficient and fun to talk with!
She’s great!
We have been struggling for 30 years trying to grow a nice yard, after 9 months of treatment, we have a pretty & green yard! It’s fall and the grass needs mowed, (it’s not brown and dead!) it’s just been aerated, and for the first time ever, we know what to do to be ready for a beautiful lawn next spring and summer!
We are also happy we paid the extra $ for mosquito treatment! There was an immediate improvement! Worth the money for sure! -
I wanted to give zero. To start I hired them so that they improve my lawn but complete opposite happened. The service guy came in May for fertilization and spilled accidentally chemical. Most of the lawn was burnt. Then they started charging us to fix the lawn. We keep talking and each time they will cancel the charge and say did the service but we saw zero result. The heights was when they did aeration and charged us which was suppose to be free because it was their fault . Each person promises to fix for free but none of them update on their document. It has been really harassment for us. I wish I had never asked them to take care of lawn.
So upset with them. I have attached the picture of first when they spilled and after they said they fixed it. -
They came 4 weeks ago and tore up my newly laid sod doing aeration which removed large chunk of it and then left dirt and large chucks of grass it in our driveway.
Only completed 1/3 of the service (but I can see on our ring camera and by inspection that was not true)
Said they seeded and no sign of seeding
I’ve called and they came back to finish seeding but said someone would inspect the Sod damage to have it fixed. That person has never come.
Called again a week ago asking someone to come fix it. Still no response. It’s now been a month.
Update: Someone came out and said they would refund me so I could pay for new sod, but in the same week another crew showed up to my house while I was out of town and they did it AGAIN! I have no idea why they were coming for a 3rd time in 6 weeks but OMG, I had even more damage done to my yard with what looks like aeration equipment, again. More sod was uprooted from my yard and left in huge chunks in my driveway and backyard, several areas 3x5 foot areas of my yard left completely bare where grass once was, and my garden gate was removed and not put back in place. There were piles of grass seed left on my patio, in the driveway, and in my flower garden. I cannot believe how badly they have damaged my yard. I will be getting in touch with the owner and looking for compensation for the mess they have made. -
Poor customer service & lawn looks worse since we have hired Trugreen. Our lawn, specifically the back & one side yard were a mess. Trugreen came several times fertilizing, treating for grubs, killing weeds with additional weed killing treatments. The yard did not improve. Then one day they came and did weed killer, a half our later came and aerated, tearing up our lawn and causing some damage to our neighbor's, and over seeded. I believe the aerating and destroying of our backyard and weed killing at the same time, killed a good portion of our lawn. They came out and spread soil and seed on the damaged areas, including the damage done to my neighbors yard, and said they would be back on 9/25 to aerate and over seed correctly. That did not happen. Someone came to fertilize and we turned them away citing what was to be done. I called Trugreen on 10/2 and confirmed that aerating and over seeding would be done on 10/3. I was told a note would be added to the service ticket and both would be done. Only over seeding was done. I spoke to Brett, the manager who told me in August that the aerating and over seeding would be done on 9/25, he said both would be done on Thursday, 10/9. No one came on 10/9. I called Brett twice and he did not answer or return my call. I called the home office on 10/10 and was told there was no record of Brett calling me back and that the over seeding had previously been completed. My yard looks worse than when we hired Trugreen. Customer service is poor. They did not follow through with what they said would be done. I've requested a refund for 50% of my entire contract cost and to have the service canceled. I'm very disappointed.

Fired them 15 years ago when repeatedly charged for front and back yard service. The punchline was the lock kept on the backgate. Tried them again in 2025 - this time with external property cameras. Service technician sprayed middle of yard and left. Total time in 1/2 acre backyard, 2 mins and 43 seconds. Amazing new varieties of weeds in my yard. Management then harrassed via calls for 5 weeks after cancellation. Wish there was a No Star option on ratings.

As an 85 year old, I decided that it might be time to let somebody else fertilize our yard, so we hired TruGreen. I had another reason as well. I'm never quite sue what chemicals to use and when, so TruGreen makes those decisions for us, too.
We also had our yard aerated and over seeded, and that got done on 3 November 2025. As instructed, I watered a couple times each day (except for 1 1/2 days when temperatures dipped down into the 20s). The instructions suggested keeping the seeds damp for 7 to 14 days. I continued watering beyond that because I had not seen any seeds sprouting. Until today, 19 days later. Today we had sprouting seeds over most of the yard. Some were under leaves in the yard. I am now looking forward to spring to see how our yard looks.
So, thanks TruGreen for your service this year and probably for some years to come.
PS: I was going to add a photo of the sprouting seeds under our maple tree, but apparently I can only do that using Google photos, and I do not use Google photos. It might not have been a very exciting photo, but I was very happy today to see all the new grass growing.
