Home Services reviews in Wichita, Kansas

Hired them to take care of nutsedge primarily since my normal lawn products did not help. My lawn was free of clovers, dandelions, etc. but still had the invasive weed grass. Ended up killing most of it with vinegar/salt/dish soap combination. Will have to replant grass there but oh well. Decided I would not rehire them, but I guess I was supposed to cancel service. Received a bill this weekend for $75. It was never made clear that service would continue past my requested services, which I paid in full at the beginning of the season. I do not recommend.

I've spent my life in turf management in the Carolinas. We moved to Kansas this past summer, and I spent the rest of the summer getting our lawn back in shape. I watched this company put out an app in February in my neighborhood. I got curious, so I contacted them to ask about their program and what particular products they use and their schedule, etc, and so on. Rather than call a potential customer back to answer my questions- 2 days later, they just show up at my property to walk it and measure it for an estimate- that I never even asked for. The guy comes to my door while I'm on the phone and asks me to unlock my fence gates and I told him I had questions about your service and if and when I get satisfactory answers about the service then I'll consider an estimate. I then told the guy to have someone contact me & answer the questions I submitted via the website about their service. 2 weeks later & nothing. Companies like this that can't take the time to email or call a customer and answer their questions, but will show up at your door for an estimate that was never asked for are not worth your time or money. Customer service is important, and this service needs to get back to the basics or just remove the contact function from their website altogether because they clearly don't want to answer questions.

We had recently moved to a new house down the street and little did we realize that we needed to cancel our yard service with New Frontier Lawn and Tree Care (among all of the other things that go into moving homes). When we received a forwarded bill from our old residence (we now consider the first round of spraying their house warming gift) I called to clarify- the owner then sarcastically replied that our notifications in the mail from last winter were "yellow, just like our vans. They're bright and hard to miss, and that's the way we have done it for 45 years." He made it sound as if he didn't care about retaining my business at all.
I had hoped to get services transferred to my new address, but when they expressed no interest in working things out with us, I decided that I was better off finding a new service that payed attention and appreciated their clientele- we received no courtesy call or anything before they assumed our business. It's sad that they would choose to lose an account that costs somewhere around $300-$400 due to a one time $41 treatment.
I take significant pride in my lawn and will recommend people take their business elsewhere unless they like "good ole day" shady business practices from 45 years ago. -
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
I HAD USED THEM AND WAS PLEASED. AND LIKE EVERYTHING PRICES WENT WAY UP! And I was ok with that. But the SERVICE WENT WAY DOWN.
THEY CLAIM TO SPRAY FOR WEEDS YET I HAVE WEEDS AFTER 1 WEEK AFTER a treatment.
They even took out the guarantee of coming back if there was a issue.
Last year I had them come back .Just to be left with a nasty note saying the weeds I had were not covered . That's a joke and the owner said they don't work for Free.
After speaking to 2 other companies they said weeds are weeds and they don't work that way!
And they do guarantee THERE WORK.
THE ONLY POSITIVE THING ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS MONICA who takes payments.
Very professional and very pleasant to work with.
One of there best workers Seth quit.
He was Amazing to work with.
Thanks for the 65.00 charge and I'm looking at the weeds I will go pull. -
Does great work!

Same Day Service! I asked and they delivered. Chad Kettleman and his crew came to the house on the same day that I contacted and quoted the work. Did the work. Played with the dog. And sis an amazing job. Over and above what was asked or expected. We needed some bushes trimmed. They edged the yard unexpectedly. Make sure you have the right “wild rose”!

I would not recommend Chad Rose. When you have an issue or even an option he will not return phone calls. He for 200.00 a month at the duplex I rent not once did he weed eat then after I complained and called him not one return phone call. Instead I came home and then entire area that needed weed rated was taken out.
The mower he used was way to big to fit into the fence. He tore a piece off the fences to the back yard,
He cut into the insane neighbors yard. Knowing when I left a message about the yard.
He went over there and ask to cut their yard that is the day he tore the fence.
I called left message to not return and he still returned.
I would not use his service.
His lack of returning calls very unprofessional and. He stones walking and has a cluster b personality to avoid communication
And he will text you none stop over payment.
If you need to speak with him he will not return one call in regard to the business of the lawn care.
Attaching pictures of the fence.
I called also, to ha e the last 100.00 returned cause I cannot use him not one call back.
He is very unprofessional and if he causes damage you will not return your phone call.
I am going to get a robot mower for the price I paid him I could have one already.
Very unprofessional all around “ loser”
Respectfully m

They did a fantastic job! Listened to what I wanted done. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Weather delayed the work being done, but I was kept informed. Very reasonable pricing and great job cleaning up afterwards. I have had a few people do tree work for me, this is the one I will be sticking with. Great job guys! Thank you very much!

Had a tree that needed to be removed, got a few quotes, and JB Tree Service was the best option. Was able to get me scheduled quick, they checked in again as we got closer to make sure the day still worked for me, showed up promptly, got things done. All very professional, and I would definitely recommend.

After signing up for the services we struggled a bit. The first 2 representatives to show up had a poor work ethic and did not perform the services promised. We shared this with the company. They did send an 3rd individual that we were extremely impressed with & satisfied with his performance of duties. We have requested that they send him for future services. Hopefully this will continue until the end of our contract. We would decide then whether to renew the contract or not.

I used All Seasons Lawn for 30 years. TruGreen just purchased them. I received a letter this week to notify me. I had a service call in 3 weeks ago about a tree disease. I called today and TruGreen said they cancelled my service because I had a $14 bill outstanding from All Seasons. My first interaction with them is terrible, and I didn't get any answers - and now my tree is half dead. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I called TruGreen because our ash trees were having signs of the emerald ash borer bug. The TruGreen rep agreed with it was this over the phone and we set up for them to come for 4 treatments for all 5 of our trees (was told the treatment cost would cover 5-7 trees). We weren't here on the 1st visit. However, on the 2nd visit we realized they just had in their notes to only treat the 2 trees in the front yard. I had to call and they apologized, stating that we were actually paying for all the trees to be done, but for some reason the notes did indicate only the front. Also, I asked the person on the phone about the treatment our trees were getting put on, as the notes left by the service person who sprayed didn't say anything about it being for the ash borer. The person on the phone agreed and said that's typically a different treatment than what our trees received. Also, in looking at my notes, I saw that on my initial phone call setting up the service, they said I'd receive $15 off the first treatment, which also didn't happen.
I'm waiting for a call from the manager but am extremely unhappy with their services, as it has essentially all been incorrect. They only sprayed 40% of the trees they were supposed to (& we wouldn't have even known that if we weren't home when they sprayed), they didn't actually spray for the issue we called about (ash borer), and they didn't give the discount promised initially. Also, although we initially only agreed to the 4 treatments, we saw on the fine print on the receipt left that they will continue services indefinitely until we call to cancel. The whole service seems to almost be a scam. I would prefer to just get our money back and go with a company that we can count on to do what they say they will. -
They over sprayed and killed my bushes. I did not renew my contract, yet they came out and did a treatment after contract expired. I tried to call but a 15-20 minute call wait time? So I tried chat. Chat that gives you a scripted answer and decides when they are done talking with you. I will pay for this treatment to keep my credit in good standing, but I will never use your service again.

George is a good job explaining what he was doing. It was very professional in his work.

We paid them a lot of money to see no results so we decided to cancel our services. We have now called FOUR times to cancel and are told all of our services are cancelled and even provided a cancellation #. Then, a week later we get a voicemail saying our next service is scheduled. We call again and cancel AGAIN. Then, the guy comes to our home and walks through our yard picking up leaves and puts them in a baggie, tapes it to our door with a note that we are due for service. What part of cancelled is confusing? I do not want strangers in my yard after I have told you 4 times not to come to my house again. I do not know what else to do to get this cancelled. My husband and I have both called numerous times and are assured our account is closed, only to be scheduled for service again. We will never be using TruGreen again and not recommending them to anyone. Not only was it poor lawn service (which I would have let go) but they are impossible to cancel with and try to continue to charge you for things you do not want or need.
