Matt did a great job called ahead to let us know he was on his way. Replaced the part in no time. I highly recommend them.

I am disappointed in the customer service I received from Cooks.. the office support staff were unprofessional. We waited three weeks for our unit to be serviced only to find out that the part they knew we needed from the previous summer did not get ordered but we were charged 95 for them to come out and do nothing... I will say the maintenance worker was professional but there seemed to be miscommunication between the maintenance workers and office workers.

Did a great job on mine and my son’s air conditioner/heater installation— just now realized did not post it when they were done.

Cooks Heating and Air has done an amazing job with my properties and my clients properties! I specifically work with Wayne Rau there and would recommend everyone talking to him especially if they need a new system!!!!!

I watched your tech purposely release refrigerant in the air numerous times and it wasn't him purging his line because I have a Universal EPA license. Therefore I have a duty as a technician and a human to report it to the EPA, which I have. I am letting you know because I know that you are a good company and should not be punished for one man's action. Thank you.

I testing the duct work in a new home today. Cooks finished the job last Friday. This is an important step in Wichita, because there is no code requirement for insulation or other energy efficiency.

This test did fantastic. The National Professional Standard is < 6% leakage. This job was < 5%. The duct work was installed well. To many times I find it kinked or looped and wasted, plus the increased flow losses.

It is nice to see quality work.

Had a new York system installed in August 9months later my AC system had to be recharged so it leaked over the winter immediately after installation. Incompetent tech did not check whole system for leaks. Had to call them out again 3 more times over 3 years. After labor warranty expired they sent a more experienced tech ( they claimed previous techs may have missed the leak) of course all this is denied and excuses made. The evap coil was leaking common manufacturing issue with York. Was told it would be $500 labor and refrigerant. Pretty cool way to avoid loss by stringing along customer till you can charge for replacing a mistake that was made at installation. . Cooks should change name to crooks. Liars. Avoid them.

Derek talked me through every step of the process and helped me understand how my furnace worked, what to watch out for, and even offered a few pointers and tricks along the way. You can't ask for better service than this!

Thank you Cooks for the fast response to take care of my 90 year old father. Don was very nice and had the part and got it fixed before this next cold snap.

I used to wire new houses in Wichita and the surrounding area. Which means I worked around many HVAC companies over the years that I did that line of work. Cooks has always been one of my top three companies that I suggest or would use to do any work for me or anyone I know. The installation guys work their buts off and they do their best to make everything right.

The price couldn't be beat (had several estimates) on new heater and ac unit. The technicians were great! Super friendly and knowledgeable. Overall great office staff, sales, and techs. Highly recommend!

Had a brand new unit installed 3/22. Shoddy installation has caused numerous problems.
(Didn't seal gaps properly so all the air was going UNDER the house, freeze ups at compressor)
Had to have a new ignitor installed 2/10/23, tried to turn furnace on 10/27 and it's throwing a bad ignitor code. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

I own rentals and after reading the reviews for this company, I decided to try them out. The technician was 30 minutes late, he didn't park where I specifically told the receptionist on the phone. (He was suppose to park in the alley driveway, it's a duplex with separate drives). He was talking on the phone using speaker phone, he did let the woman go when I approached him, but he never even introduced himself, very unprofessional attitude. During the visit he was receiving phone calls and he would answer them, on speaker phone, letting them know he'll call them back in a bit. He never checked for any gas leaks like I ask, nor did much of anything. He said there's a minimum of one hour charge plus $20.00. So, I spent $115.00 for somebody to be late, dodge phone calls, and not even do what I asked. I will not use them again and I will not recommend them to anybody.

When my ac went out 2 years ago I called Cook because that's who my grandparents always called. They had a new system in place within 48 hours. When I call for service they are quick to arrive and thorough in their inspection. Their techs are knowledgeable, respectful and kind. They take the time to answer all your questions. You don't have to worry about anything when you work with this company.

They were bought out in 2008 by an outfit with 40 years of experience. My experience follows this buyout. I will continue to use Cooks to insure safe operating heating and cooling at my house in the years to come.

These guys were amazing. Another HVAC company told me I would have to replace my heater and ac and then gave me an estimate that was insane. Cooks came out, worked on the heater, it worked for a few weeks and then started doing the same thing. They came back out 3 more times . 2 of those just to check on it and insure it was still working. They were very reasonable and took great care of me. They saved me thousands that I didn't have to spend. Very honest and reliable.

I own a small gas fireplace service company in the Wichita area, a coworkers Air conditioner broke down and asked if I could try to fix it. Well it was broke beyond my tools and repair skill set. Cook came out and got it running on a Friday night. The service was quick, honest and fair on the billing. The tech was polite professional and even taught me a few new tricks. This is an honest company you can trust. From Thee Fireplace Guys.

Heater was working fine yesterday morning. Cooks came out for a yearly maintenance inspection in the afternoon, tech was awesome and feel like I was treated well. An equipment problem came up and scheduled the sales guy to come give a quote today. Problem is the heater didn't work after the tech left, called back today and they sent another tech. They charged their flat rate of $95 to fix the issue which wasn't happening before the tech yesterday. 2nd tech was here while the sales guy is working up an equipment quote. I think it's fair to say you just lost a $7,000 sale over a sketchy $95 charge.

We contacted Cooks because we were told by a different HVAC company that we needed a return installed and duct work repaired in our crawl space. The space where the return was going to be was covered up by the previous home owner and we were advised by the other company that nothing was connected. The tech showed up on time, was friendly, and professional. He also found that we DO have a return hooked up already and that the other company was lying to us. He also took the time to crawl in our crawl space and found our duct work isn’t damaged. Basically they didn’t charge for doing all of this, so I wanted to make sure they at least got a great review. I also appreciate the tech’s patience, due to us having a newborn I was very groggy and had trouble communicating. We will for sure call them again if we ever have any problems.

Thank you Cook's! Called on a Friday morning, sweltering hot day, and my A/C was out. Got a technician here that afternoon, on time, and they fixed me up! Reasonable price, professional service. Ricky was awesome. Now I can enjoy my weekend!! 😊Highly recommend!!

In general they seem like nice people. Prices are comparable. I think the technicians they have are hit or miss though. One time they are super nice and knowledgeable and the next time you get a guy who can't tie his own shows. They refused to work with a home warranty company which forced me into working with another company. After I already paid cooks 400 bucks to diagnose the system. (Which took two separate techs two days to properly diagnose)
