The service from Monthie Mechanical was superb. The staff were very courteous and professional. I have worked with other heating and cooling companies but Monthie Mechanical is a real standout among the competition.

Monthie Mechanical is always my go-to business when anything goes wrong with my home, rentals, or business AC or Heating systems.
I recently had my AC unit go out in my Airbnb - the warmest day yet in May and with guests visiting - my 5 star rating was on the line.
They came to my rescue with a diagnostic visit and an offer to provide window units so my guests would be comfy. Then within a day I had a quote and replacement system in place and working before the next guests arrived.

Always prompt, fair pricing, and even care given to my plants as the new HVAC was installed. My 5 stars was protected so I happily pass the same rating on to Monthie! Many thanks!!

I trust MMI and have loved them since they were Monthie Mechanical. Mon-tie. I appreciate the swiftness, politeness and expertise they showed. They took care of us when we needed it and I will be confident calling them for whatever need is there in the future.

Called technician for problem with gas heater. Technician came out, charged three times what a filter costs and a diagnostics fee for which he did not provide any sort of estimate for any fixes. Noted some issues, altered our gas pressure but did not write what he changed it to/from. Thats fine, overhead costs are a reality of business and perhaps I would have eventually received an estimate. What happened after is the problem.

After altering the gas pressure of the unit a strong gas smell began emanating from the exhaust on the front of the house. Columbia Gas came out, got strong gas readings and red tagged the unit. The next day I had Monthie out to see what they had done that cause the gas problem. The technician noted a few specific issues and one main issue. He returned the gas pressure to the original amount and says he will get me a bid. That night we get a gas smell again, this time in the house. Columbia gas comes out, red tagged again. We've never had any of our gas detectors go off or had gas problems in the house before Monthie.

Monday comes around, still no estimate, so I call. I don't get the estimate until the end of the day. I get an overpriced estimate for the work.

Frustrated with Monthie, I consult with three other companies. None agree with Monthie's assessment. The first company to come to my home notices a blatant and obvious issue with the unit as well as a few other problems. Some of these problems Monthie's technician told me were not an issue. Each of the companies agreed - without my telling them of any of the details from any of the other visits - on the problems, and disagree with Monthie's estimate.

Monthie Mechanical has proven themselves to be negligent in my eyes, as well as unstrustworthy, unprofessional and incapable of handling work that is not simple maintenance or replacement of a unit.

I do not recommend using Monthie and will suggest to everyone who has any problems with their heating and air to stay far away from Monthie.

- One pro of dealing with Monthie is they do have a pleasant and patient office staff. If only their technicians and owner were up to snuff.

As usual Monthie Mechanical exceeded my expectations. They are just great I cannot explain how great they have been to me. Their employees are exceptional, along with their great service. I would recommend anyone to check them out if ever in need of these services.

Monthie Mechanical replaced a heat pump with an air conditioner and converted part of my house to gas heat. The job was not simple--the electric furnace was in my attic--and Monthie persevered until the correct completion of the job. It's to be expected with a family-run local operation with many years of experience.

Monthie Mechanical is wonderful! Great prices, timely services, and Miss Belinda is SO helpful. She has gone out of her way to help us on numerous occasions. Definitely recommend!

Very satisfied with service. I had a thermostat installed. It was a challenging job because it required understanding how my dehumidifier and furnace were both controlled by the same thermostat. Nedim did a great job. thorough and very knowledgeable.

Greg was very professional and personable during his service call. He explained everything to me and showed me what he was talking about on my furnace. He was then back the next day promptly to make minor repairs. Great service at Monthie Mechanical and I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

We have used MMI for years. Over the years they have repaired heating and air conditioning and we finally replaced our upstairs air conditioner and furnace. They have always been responsive to what we need, on time and cleaned up so we never knew anything was done except that everything was working as it should. Belinda that I speak with when I call their office is wonderful! I highly recommend this business!

Each service technician who has come to our house has taken their time to make a thoughtful and accurate diagnosis of the problem we're having. We purchased a new unit from them and had them install it this summer. We've been impressed with their integrity and seriousness to get the job done well. Belinda, the office manager, is friendly and trouble shoots problems on the phone. She also sends technicians out quickly. Nancy was efficient and knowledgeable about financing. We'll definitely rely on Monthie Mechanical from now on.

Installation was very professional and quiet. The work was labor intensive and took 5 hours, but they did a great job. I barely knew they were in the house. They cleaned-up very well. I've used MMI Climate Solutions (Monthie) for years. They have always done a great job!

Updated review: I'm convinced that my previous experience was a rare occurance/just a bad day for that one technician. The company responded quickly and appropriately to my complaint and sent a new team. Alex was fantastic. He answered all my questions and paid excellent attention to detail in inspecting every aspect of my air system. He was personable, informative and efficient! Best of all, they've been gone less than an hour and my house has already cooled a couple degrees, so I think it may be fixed with his adjustments and such! No company is perfect but excellent customer service earns 5 stars in my book!

Previous review: Very disappointed with this service company! Scheduling was difficult and they arrived well past the expected time. The lead man decided very quickly that the only issue was the capacitor needed changed. They never even looked at the inside unit at all. They just swapped the capacitor out quickly on the outside unit and indicated everything was fixed: fan was running now. Except the fan had been running earlier without cooling. When I mentioned this he became very rude and condescending and was unwilling to answer my questions so I could understand. I was able to go inside with the 2nd guy for a minute to check the vent and he was much nicer but didn't seem to understand either. When we went back outside he talked to the rude guy asking a question and saying I still didn't understand. He even went so far as to tell the rude guy "she's right there" indicating that he could talk to me and answer my questions instead of ignoring me and being rude. I tried to explain what I had seen/heard yesterday and that it was the same as it was now so I wasn't sure the capacitor was the only problem. Instead of explaining or even trying, his answer was "how would you know?" At that point I just told them to wrap up and leave. We weren't going to get anywhere with his attitude. They've been gone for over an hour and while the fan has been running nonstop the temperature inside still hasnt changed at all. I have no confidence that the capacitor was the only issue but I can't take another day off work this week to call another company to actually check everything. Very much do not recommend this company!

We have used Monthie for 18 years in two different houses. They have always been professional, timely, fair pricing and extremely knowledgeable. Brad has been our technician for several years and does a great job. Austin recently fixed an issue and also did a great job. Belinda in the office is the best, always helpful, accommodating and friendly.
