These guys are the real deal. Professional, clean and knowledgeable. The work was excellent and the price was fair! The receptionist that answers the phone and books appointments does an excellent job as well. I will be using them for all my plumbing and electrical needs.

Thank you so much to Joey!! I was given another quote last week from Mr. Rooters - after that "Plumber" walked out of my house the quote was THOUSANDS of dollars. When Joey left my house today a few of the things Mr. Rooters said needed done was not even necessary and the bill was $150!! Very thankful for good people and we'll definitely continue to use them!!!

I cannot recommend this company enough!! The best company I have ever worked with. They came prepared to not only give us an estimate but to do the work the same day! They beat our other estimate by less than half! They didn’t do anything extra but did exactly what was needed. They will always be my first call in the future. Joey and Cameron were kind, courteous and knowledgeable.

The Home Warranty Company asked that I contact Tackett Plumbing when my water heater was leaking.
They came out the same day that I called them. They dealt with the Home Warranty people and convinced them that it needed replaced rather than repaired. They were very professional and a pleasure to work with.
I suggest everyone purchase the Home Warranty when buying a house. The water heater and installation was $75.00 with the Home Warranty.
I rarely write a review but I felt this company went above and beyond to make sure I had hot water 😊. Highly recommend!

First time customer of Tackett's a couple weeks ago to fix a water pipe leak near our main and extremely pleased with the customer service, responsiveness, and price. Joey, Cameron, & Tiffany were all super friendly and on top of everything including calling the utility companies to mark the lines before they arrived to dig. Recommended!

I called Tackett & Son Plumbing & Electric when my hot water heater started leaking based off Taylor Cecil's review, and I could not be more satisfied. Mrs. Tackett answered my call promptly, asked all the right questions, and had me take a picture of the leak with my phone so her husband could quickly advise what we should do. Joey Tackett called me a few minutes later and offered to swing by the house to double check a few things before we proceeded since he just happened to be in the area. Joey's advice was excellent, and he never tried to sell me anything - never even asked to be compensated for his assessment. As such, I immediately deferred to his professional judgment, and decided to replace my water heater. Within two hours, my old water heater was removed, the new water heater was installed, and the water leak in my garage was cleaned up - all for less than the big box stores would have charged. While Joey was working, I got to know him personally and realized what a gem he is. From this point forward, Tackett & Son will handle all of my plumbing and electrical needs.

These guys were recommended via NextDoor. Actually, they were the ONLY plumber that was recommended (multiple times) when I asked, so that made choosing easy! We needed a couple small leaks fixed, so decided to hire finishing the install on the sink, disposal, water filter, and dishwasher after after small remodel. They were kind enough to roughly ballpark the price for the job over the phone, and were plenty close for comfort when it was all said and done. Very fair prices, and quality work. Great people, great work, so happy to have found our go-to people for plumbing.

Contacted Joe about putting in some gas lines in our home - came out, gave us a fair estimate and we were on the schedule. Did the work on the agreed date. Joe and Cameron were very professional, pleasant and did the highest quality work. Very comfortable having them in our home. Great value as well - a fair price for a quality job. These guys are our plumbers from now on. Very highly recommended.

Joe is a pleasure to work with. Tackett & Sons came highly recommended from more than one person. They installed a tap for me and you can tell they are extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. Fast and thorough and under the estimate, Tackett & Sons will be our Richmond go-to plumber!

I moved to a house and had a toilet that would continually clog. The first time it happened, I googled a plumber and went with the first option that came up. They came out and unclogged the toilet and charged a ridiculous amount for the work. Over the next 6 months, the same toilet clogged 2 more times. I called the same large, chain plumbing company and they told me that the reason it was clogging was because my sewage line had a lip on it going to the main sewage line and they needed to dig up my front yard to correct it. That sounded weird to me because I only had one toilet clogging and it was my only issue in the entire house. So, I called Tackett and Son for a second opinion the next time it clogged. When Joey came and pulled the toilet off the floor, he said he had never seen anything like it before in his 20+ years experience. My toilet wasn't connected to the sewage line at all. There was a gap that was causing my issues because toilet paper was getting caught on the pipe going down that the toilet is supposed to be connected to. He had to pour concrete and put a new connection for my toilet. Luckily, I didn't pay over a thousand dollars to have my front yard ripped up for a new sewer line (that still wouldn't have fix my problem). I'm glad to say, I haven't had a clogged toilet since. We've called Tackett and Son to remove a shower and put in a new one and replace a vanity since then. It looks great (I've included a picture of that job)! Also, they came and replaced our water heater and had it finished in less than one hour. I've learned my lesson in googling for home services and going with the paid ad option at the top.

Goodbye pruney fingers! Justin did an excellent job installing my new dishwasher. As I am a long term renter at my current home, he gave me the option to hardwire or set up it up so I can easily disconnect when I am ready to buy a house. Some places were not easy to get to but he worked it all out and got me setup with no hassle or mess! He also hooked up an outside faucet so I can use a water hose more easily (previously was running through a window and hooking to kitchen sink). Very impressed with this company. They are friendly, professional, and do high quality work. Highly recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Used Tackett for a water line repair. These folks are professional, punctual, and very proficient at their job. I could not be happier with the results. The company is a longtime local staple and I am hoping for many more. I wouldn't call anyone else for my plumbing needs.

Had a leaky tub faucet and a faucet handle that wouldn't completely turn off. Tackett & Son came out, diagnosed the issue and realized it was a proprietary assembly that would require going underneath the tub to fix.

They came back a few days later, brought a new Delta faucet and were able to cut into the drywall behind the tub, replace the faucet and drain stopper, then patch the wall up with an access panel - all in about 2 hours.

Great people, great service. Highly recommended!

My water heater that was 20 years old started leaking. I called Tackett and Son hoping for someone to stop over and take a look in the next day or two. To my surprise, they scheduled a full replacement a couple hours later on the same day. They arrived, drained and replaced the old heater, and hauled away the old one in 30 minutes. Once again, great service and an amazing low price!
