Update 3-26-25: I went back today and am happy to say they are restocked for spring. So many beautiful plants everywhere! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!
Went for the first time today, January 21st. While there were a lot of empty tables since it's the off season, there was still a nice selection and the prices were very reasonable. Had some beautiful succulents, cacti, Euphorbia, and carnivorous plants which is my main interest and I was impressed by the selection. There were also a ton of house plants and planters, pots, etc. Staff was super friendly and I can't wait to go back this spring when the tables will be full. So happy I found this place! -
I love coming to all events! Stanley has had Master gardners, Iris sale, what plant can help our butterfly population, migration! Always learning!

Someone on the website said their Christmas trees were about $25 but that is untrue they start at $90. Very sorry I went all the way there believing they'd be right.

This is a wonderful greenhouse! So many of my houseplants come from this nursery! I love the variety of plants! I go just about every Thursday if I can make it. The staff is very friendly!

Love Stanley’s! Wished I could give a 5 star.
Staff had the personality of wood. There was a sweet hello when we entered, but as I checked out the workers were accommodating without one kind word…. “Any questions about your purchase?”
“Thank you.” “Have a nice day.”
Edit note- upon reading the passing of Lisa Stanley, maybe the staff was feeling sad and not at the top of their game. My prayers of kindness and compassion for the Stanley family and staff during this difficult time. -
We were there for an event benefiting the Ronald McDonald House, but it was a very nice nursery! Will have to return for some plant shopping.

A large place full of indoor & outdoor plants. Helpful staff. Prices are reasonable. Pots, soils, etc are also sold.

Best greenhouse, staff are all very knowledgeable about plants and well trained with every thing in Stanley's. Tons of variety of plants and seasonal plants available for anything you are looking for. Cactus, succulents, perrenial and annual flowers, hanging ferns, and even dogwood trees. Well priced and tons of different color and shaped clay pots under $2 available.

Always great inventory and service. Plants are high quality. Staff is knowledgeable. Great support of the community. Highly recommend!

I love this place with variety of apartment and exterior plants. The price is not as cheap as Castco or home depot if you find the same plant, but reasonable too.

After having an extremely negative experience with Mayo Garden Center in Bearden, this nursery was a figurative and literal breath of fresh air. Comparatively, the same azaleas are nearly 60% CHEAPER 108 vs 40 for the same variety. Ill be doing all my plant shopping here in the future.

Beautiful and the photo seat was so nice I attached couple photos. They said we were first to use it. What you waiting for. Lol

We had plans to go to the botanical garden. We went to Stanley's instead and decided to give our money to them and keep the plans awesome experience.

If you want quality, you want Stanley's! They are price competitive too. We often assume the box store prices are better, but if you take an honest look you'll see that the locally propagated plants thrive far better than the tiny savings you might see at the big retailers.
An added bonus is that you are supporting a local business that leaves it's money in the area and pays it's proper share to the tax base and their workers. Unlike the mega corporate rascals who negotiate tax breaks with local and Federal government to pay their executive class absurdly, under pay their base employees and export all their money out of the area. -
If you want beautiful plants that last, exotic varieties, or need help starting a garden, this is the place to go! Big box stores give you the same plants year after year and fluff up dying plants to sell. Stanley’s plants are healthy and vibrant. They have great staying power in pots and in the ground. Staff are knowledgeable and kind. Expect to stay a while. This place is huge!

As a 20-year resident of the Knoxville area, I stopped in to look around Stanley's for the very first time about mid-Feb. I was impressed with the expansive retail space and how well maintained both the plant material and the property was. I was looking for Nepenthes, but was informed they only had one very small, sickly looking specimen. I politely declined after seeing it, but the very helpful and friendly associate informed me that they would be getting more and healthier stock in early spring. She offered to take my name and number and told me someone would call when the new HBs arrived. I happily gave my info to her. Time passed, and here it is Spring. This past Sunday (04/27/25) I stopped by after brunch to check on a few needed annuals. I was looking for dark red Calibrachoa. They only had four in the 3-inch squares. I needed 8. As I browsed the shop, I happened to pass by the carnivorous plant section and noticed a healthy looking Nepenthes HB for $19.99. I immediately felt slighted that no one had bothered to called me as was promised. After thinking over my possible choices, I decided not to purchase the plant and left empty-handed. I was not going to reward poor customer service with a sale. Judging by the numerous 5-star reviews and the otherwise good reputation this greenhouse seems to enjoy in the community, perhaps my experience was a rare slip through the cracks. That doesn't really matter to me. The opportunity for Stanley's Greenhouse to earn a new customer was lost and my negative impression has been formed. Once cast in a potential customer's mind, negative perception is difficult, and often impossible, to reverse. As the old saying goes, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." 👎

This place is delightful. The staff were SUPER helpful with picking out my a plant as a beginner. The Swedish ivy I picked out is so healthy! And reasonably priced relative to the few places I had visited while in Nashville! Highly recommend. I will be back again and again, I’m sure!

I really enjoyed my trip to Stanley's Greenhouse! I could stay for hours. There's so many things to check out. They have a wide variety plants, pots, and some garden decor. I'm so glad my friend told me about this place. I'm definitely making another trip out there soon.

Hands down the most knowledgeable, best stocked, and friendliest nursery in town. I needed perennial recommendations for two flowerbeds in my yard that have been finicky for me in the past, and the perennial manager Joe was fantastic! He walked through the perennial section with me and gave me recommendations, and about a month later, all of the plants he recommended have done amazingly in my yard. I’m so happy with how they’ve turned out, and the expertise at Stanley’s made that happen. Thank you Joe!

It was amazing. I never knew this place existed but I'm so happy I knew now. Worth the drive from Maryville. HUGE variety and selection, they have just about anything you could want.
